Hey guys
I am experiencing too much of battery drain. In lineage14.1
Which is bugging me a lot....
Too much of heating
I am on stock lineage kernel.
Guys please suggest me some roms and kernel settings combination because it is too much irritating....
I am writing this thread with 0% battery (with powerbank connected)
By any chance didn't you recently copied a video file to your phone ( maybe mkv format ) ?
@ehsan_zt no bro... I had no mkv files... And after your saying... I deleted each and evry video from the device
ok, I thought maybe its the old media server bug...
You can install one of those apps that tells you "which process is utilizing how much cpu" . also check min cpu speed of your phone in kernel auditor(and monitor cpu speed for anything unusual).
do a clean flash of this rom.
and lastly check if other people with this rom have this kind of problem (I remember people saying recent lineage os updates were draining battery fast ).
Look, developers don't use to change CPU voltages, use my kernel, I fixed this issue
I change the LineageOS to Mokee 6.0 because this issue. Lineage is a great rom but high battery drain in standby. Mokee is the best choice to better battery backup. Try this.
AOSPextended has great battery life.Lineage doesn't give much backup for me ;Now i get about 3.5-4 hrs SOT.
use Greenify and CPU Hibernation app on all roms you use.
hey bro.. tried out your kernel .. performance increased a lot...
but battery issue still persists ... 40% to 0% within 2 hours of standby and 30 min of usage.....

Hi friends
Is it me or everyone is facing similar hurdles like huge battery drain on roms tagged with the latest kernel 2.16.32.15?
I have tested many of the cooked roms and their battery drain is enormous!!
I get a reading of average 200mA and above! :-(
I use setCPU still no solution
Please help!

Do you get the average 200mA reading when the phone is in standby or when it is in normal usage?...In normal usage (browsing, gaming, reading, listening to music) is OK to have this kind of drain...if it's during standby, it really is enormous, but it has nothing to do with the latest kernel. I am using the latest Mdeejay Clean build and I have a normal stand-by drain of around 6mAh (3mAh when airplane mode is activated). I do not use SetCPU.
The huge drain could be because you are using an incompatible ROM/radio. Try to use the combo from hastarin's signature (this is what I am using) and have a look at his FAQs (the link is also in his signature).
On a dutch forum, some users warned me about a bluetooth problem with one of the new kernels. They used bluetooth and drained their phone in just a few hours. If you're using bluetooth, try a different kernel. If you're not using bluetooth, try rebooting a few times and check your drain with currentwidget (as mihaig11 said)
Hi, did you have a look here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7949689&postcount=42
If you are using a build with hastarin's 8.4 kernel, then this could be the likely culprit. Upgrade to his 8.5 kernel or use mdeejay's 6.1 kernel. Seems mdeejays's kernel gives slightly better battery life but hastarin's kernel seems to have a slight performance advantage. Also use Exceller's auto boot app set to 3 seconds & auto boot and reset your phone. If you let WM/Sense fully boot you will experience higher than normal battery drain. Also, I've been experimenting with the Advanced Configuration Tool. Install it in WM and then enable all of the Power Management options from this tool and restart your Android. Seems to improve the battery life on all combos I've tried. I've used all the latest builds and I average around 3-9 mA in standby using these techniques. From my experiences, the single most important factor for better battery life is using Exceller's auto boot app to boot into Android immediately before WM/Sense starts. Hope this helps.
Im on android M and got the Skyhigh kernel and the battery drains very fast but i dont know what to do cause in synapse i already set everything on battery and it seems like the cpu cores doesn't really sleep so all 8 cores are in use all the time and i think normally there should sleep some when they dont needed but i also could be anything other cause android os is the thing that uses most battery if anybody knows how to fix that pls anwer
Thank you
Try to do a clean install of the 6.0.1 than do all steps from skyhigh again. After that you can try to use Wakelock Detector to find the battery consumer.
This is what helped me.
Hi guys.
How can i get the best battery backup on kenzo?
- No MIUI (at the moment, we can have better and it limits us)
- Try battery saver or something else
- "Flash and forget" , "just flash it" roms
My usage?
Always 10-20% brightness, wifi or 4g, location off. Less than 20 apps, i just hold the necessary.
Surfing, chat, social and calls.
Can you tell me which kernel and parameters for minimum battery usage?
I am agreed about underclock.
My goal is 2 days each cycle or just 10 hours of SoT
I will be grateful for each reply and thank you in advance.
My opinion install nitrogen os .. Forget your worries
Nitrogen os ... U dont need even any custom kernel or tweaking .. use performance + battery backup...best rom ever... don't forget to clean flash otherwise don't complain.... according to your usage u will surely get 10 hrs SOT
and i got 5 hours of screen.
Hello guys,
first of all im running ressurection rom (Android 7.1.2) , Franco Kernel and twrp.
I cant date the issue back but its Quite for a long time now, my batterylife is really poor my phone loses 15 percent of battery in 15 min of usage and i cant spot why.
But sometimes it stays at a percentage for like 5-10min before it drops more
Furthermore my CPU is running four cores all the time and atleast one is at 100% all time i thought that maybe the issue but dont know how to fix it, this happend on Xenon HD also and even with another kernel.
Also deep sleep is mentinoned as never used.
My Installation is fresh and clean flashed even with a factory reset.
Only telegram ,whatsapp , greenify and spotify are installed besides the gapps.
Maybe someone knows a solution.
(Twrp is quite old but i dont think thats the issue(?))
Edit: here is a screen of it usage with no apps open
Hi,
there is malware which uses android phones to mine monero coins, it drains CPU like hell and can even damage the battery. Did you scan your phone for malware?
Yes i did using Malwarebytes, but yesterday on another Installation
So I've been having this really fast battery drain with my SM-G900F after I flashed Resurrection Remix-OS 6.2.0
I did some diagnosing and all, and I wasn't surprised to find out that the Wifi was the main Issue, It's always the Wifi for some reason. I used to have this battery drain when I had stock rom, the battery used to drain like 20% - 30% overnight, but I somehow fixed it, and the battery only drained like 3% - 5% max, I don't even know how but I did, the problem now is after I flashed the RR rom, the battery drains arround 10% overnight when it's idle of course, I didn't care much about that, but then I noticed that when I do basic tasks like messaging in Telegram, the battery drains as if I was playing a game or something, when I used to have stock rom, the battery used to last like 5 or 6 hours with me doing messaging and watching youtube and everything, but now it only lasts about 2 to 3 hours, I don't even know where to start resolving the issue, I tried disabling ipv6 on my router and all, nothing helped, I'm really just so lost and I don't really wanna switch back to stock rom cause I'm loving this one.
Can anybody please provide me with some kind of explaination or fix or anything, thank you so much in advance.
Any help? please? I really need it

Unfortunately, Oreo builds aren't as battery friendly as Nougat or even Pie.
It is a fact that you can notice if you search and read in Unified Developement forum.
Based on my own experience, i advise you to try RR Nougat with updated security patch in combination with custom kernel like SmartPack, Boeffla, Tuned...
Good luck :good:
Thanks for the quick tip, hopefully I'll get this working
