I have not received it yet. :crying:

Good to hear, nougat is rolling out. Are you happy with it?? Idle is worse now, i lose up to 10% during the night.

Unfortunately I am not able to install that update because my original firmware wasn't not unbranded European version
Sent from my LG-H840 using Tapatalk

Anyone else got it via ota??? I want to hear some opinions about idle and standby. My main trouble on nougat is battery discharge during sleep time.
On other hand everything else is super smooth, no heating issues.

Today LG G5 SE(H840) got Android Nougat update.
Macedonia.
Thanks LG!

Can we just flash a firmware from the site below?, if yes how do we know the exact version?

Did anyone received the Update in Germany!?

Open EU version nobrand (Germany) got update v20d 1h ago.
"Improvement of functionality and more user friendliness of this phone is now even better than before", yes very detailed and informative changelog.
Gesendet von meinem LG-H850 mit Tapatalk

I haven't got it in the UK and my phone was bought unlocked

I haven't got it in Germany too, my phone was bought unlocked too (LG G5 SE H840)!

Does Nougat update enables 60 FPS video recording like on G5 H850 model?

Poland - just installed v20d. But that changelog.. wow. just wow. I don't even know what that update is doing, i really hoped it to be 7.1 :c

It seems that i have auto brightnes issues after that update. I set auto brightness ON but after restart auto is OFF and brightness is at 100%. Anyone else has this?

All good here.

Got the same update 2 days ago in Italy too for a no-brand version h840.
So far so good, nothing seems changed.
We're still on Android 7.0

I was setting up the phone for my wife without a SIM card after hard reset. When i put the sim in the phone it did some minor update and everything is fine now.

Well few days ago i received ota with September security patch. Post some screens with sot and standby drain.

Related

Got an official security update after 1.5 years.

This morning, I turned it on and found that there was a security update. I thought Samsung had completely abandoned it and was going to disable automatic update check.
Perhaps I hoped too much. I was hoping that the version would go up from 5.0.2 to 5.1, but the version remained the same. The only changes I have found are
1. Security Patch Level is now 2016-11-01
2. System Panel does not show process names any more.
Well, at least they have not completely abandoned it yet.... or have they?
No update here, but if true, that's quite a positive surprise!

Wait, you mean Samsung knows h what a security update is?
this is amazing news. Maybe we will get an upgrade to marshmallow? :crying:
Not complaining too much as battery life is still amazing on stock.

3.5 years after release? Seriously?
World peace is more likely than that.

I thought it came out Q1 2014? It's barely 3 years old! Samsung is known for amazing software updates right?
/end sarcasm.
LMAO. World peace IS probably more likely than us receiving an official marshmallow update.
LOL
I love my pro but I am very skeptical about an update of any sort at this date
I just got this myself

Just got this update too. 243.38 MB. The update includes 'security enhancements' and 'device stability improvements'
March 19th OTA update
I just got an OTA update on March 19th, 2017. Bestill my heart...
Software updated P905VVRSBPL1
Android 5.1.1
^Me too. 63,55 MB! Seems to be a security patch.
My two tablets just received about 60MB updates. Installing now
Edit: both security updates with weird names
Hello how you get this update on my lte p905,i'm still on 5.02
The security update doesn't change the Android version. Try Smart Switch or the sammobile website!

V20e-SEA-XX| New nougat update for the h860 (Singapore)

You can download the update now through LG Bridge, if you prefer the kdz file you can download it from here
The update was released on the 28/4/17
Android Security Patch level is April 1, 2017
Kernel 3.18.31
Size: 2.64gb
Now you would think that an update that would be as heavy as 2.64GB would be the glorious long awaited nougat 7.1.2, but think again :^)

Nope haha this is for the Singapore device! not the taiwan!
it is somewhat theoretically POSSIBLE to still be able to flash it on your Taiwan, but I wouldnt do that if I were you, you'd might just brick your phone!
TBH the signapore firmwares SUCK and have an incredible battery drain, I think you better off flashing the Honk Kong one on your phone, just make sure to see if someone were able to successfully flash it on their Taiwan device!

New Firmware MHA-L29C432B197 OTA

Just had this update today (unlocked global model)
Can't say I've noticed anything major yet.
Oh persistent notifications or at least some of them, seem to be working like they ought to now, which is a first for me, as every notification was swipeable in the past.
Actually that's quite old update, some got it in the beginning of October. We should be getting Oreo update, not some minor pach
and I haaaate persistent notification
arrived in Germany yesterday...
No update for me on the US model as of now

My wife's Mate 9 a fully stock German unlocked OEM model received the B198 OTA, mine a fully stock German unlocked OEM model is still on B194 and keeps telling me there's no update? Both Mate 9's are not rooted and are fully stock. The only thing, mine came without box and charger (2nd hand) so I don't know if it got unlocked and re flashed, got it from ebay.de. Is there a way to check from which region the phone originally came?

http://consumer.huawei.com/de/support/warranty-query/
Change 'de' to other iso country symbols - IT for Italy, SE for Sweden, NL for Netherlands
Additionally, you can try Huawei Online-Chat.
Thanks for the link...mine shows under warranty till 14-08-2019 while the mate 9 from my wife is no longer under warranty, exp 01-05-2017.
Both are the same models, I can however not see if they are branded or not...
Just received the B198 update on the second...that means if the official Android Oreo gets released for the Mate 9, both our phones should receive them via the OTA. Happy days!

Oreo is still in beta version. You can get the update if you wish via the Nokia beta labs program. Just look it up, sign up and register your phone's IMEI and it should prompt you for and update within 12 hours.
Still beta
Yeah. It will take a day or two (I'm checking like every hour or two) for it to come to all other countries.

How can I receive it? I don't see it in Spain
Did anyone received Android 8?
As far as I can tell Android 8 has been released in at least Vietnam and India.
In Czech Republic is no Oreo. Still only beta.
Need I Oreo beta for this update or is 7.1.2. sufficient.
I hope that the kill apps bug is gone in Oreo final.
7.12 will be fine to get Oreo, it may just take a few more days maybe
Still no Android Oreo in Bulgaria :'(
Got update in Germany yesterday. Was in the beta before that.

I don't tink being in the beta changes anything. I'm in the beta and still don't have it. It's just a phased rollout, we need to wait for it to spread.

OTA received for US unlocked s8+

Received Oreo OTA with march security update. Anyone else got it?
I don't believe that's Oreo. I have an unlocked S8+. I got the OTA a couple days ago; the size is 1353.14 MB.
I've read nothing but negative things about this OTA. I'm not going to install it, but then what happens to security updates that come after this?

Its Oreo, look at the version number, it's the same. The size varies, I was upgrading from oreo beta to full oreo. I believe you are updating from nougat, that why your download size is much bigger.
