Hey everyone, i want to downgrade to 4.3 or 4.4.2 or maybe 4.4.4 to stock version, because i hate lollipop. when odin says pas.. the phone loading in samsung logo ant continues about 15min and not load to welcome screen, so my phone is updated to latest 5,0 android? and i cant downgrade to low android version? ;//
After a successful flash using Odin, reboot to recovery, wipe data (factory reset) then reboot.

Hi there,
I own a samsung galaxy s4.
Which has been recently upgraded to lollipop from kitkat.
I am on full stock and stuck with a stock recovery.
In order to root i wanted to flash cwm.
Tried philz 6.x.x.x with odin as i did with kitkat.
The process completes itself and reboots phone.
But when i go into recovery its still stock.
Additional details
Android Version: 5.0.1
BaseBand Version : I9506XXUDOA6
Build Number : LRX22C.I9506XXUDOA6
So how am i going to solve the crisis ?
Thanks in advance.
Uncheck auto-reboot before flashing.
Ok so I'd like to put AllianceROM on my international version SM-G900F H3G UK model.
To do so, my plan is to downgrade lollipop to 4.4.2 stock, root with TowelRoot, then install the ROM through Mobile Odin Pro (to preserve the KNOX counter). I've just tried to flash 4.4.2 onto the phone, but I cannot get it to start at all after it's flashed. The phone just hangs on the Three (H3G) boot animation.
I'm hoping that I've just got confused with the Sammobile site and that I've just flashed the wrong 4.4.2 firmware (so far tried flashing ANG2 and ANE2). Something I should have checked earlier but I just thought they were updated versions of the same ROM).
If I can't successfully boot into 4.4.2, I'd like to try flashing lollipop to retrieve some files I forgot to backup (another silly mistake). I'm not sure whether I can take files off it through the ADB sideload or whatever but if I have to lose all my data then I'm not too bothered.
What's the best way to go about my situation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right, thanks man. After flashing lollipop, I can now boot up and back up stuff. I'll flash 4.2.2 again and factory reset.
Guys I need some help, I recently flashed a stock lollipop rom for my rooted note 3 N9005, and after the setting up the phone, I had a notification about Software Update and in the details it says in the end that "After updating, you will not be able to downgrade to old software because of updates to the security policy". I want to apply this update but I am a bit worried that I may not able to downgrade to kitkat and jellybean, can I apply this update? I'm sorry for the noob questions.
And by the way, how do I downgrade from stock lollipop 5.0 rom to jellybean 4.3? I tried flashing a rom that came from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2461929 it passed the Odin but It won't even boot to recovery, it keeps rebooting and is stuck at the Galaxy Note 3 logo with Recovery Booting... and it still has the "powered by Android" text on the bottom.

Once you update to stock Lollipop, there is not going back. It has something to do with the bootloader. You are stuck with Lollipop, I suggest you get used to it and embrace it
I really don't see any advantages that Kit Kat could have over Lollipop on this phone.
Wait nvm, It's Jellybean you can't downgrade to. You CAN downgrade to Kit Kat, but make sure you wipe data in recovery to avoid bootloops.

hi Guys
after running Lineage 14.1 for a while i have to return to stock.
After following various guides i am stuck at the samsung boot logo.
Using ODIN i have tried 5.0.1 and 6.0.1 firmware and both appear to flash ok in ODIN with "Success"
After a 5.0.1 flash, it boots and goes through the Android optimising applications process but after that and a reboot it gets stuck again
Flashing 6.0.1 does not even get the the optimising stage and gets stuck
I struggle to boot into recovery and cannot power down at all
Now completely baffled and looking for help.
Thanks -

Did you factory reset before you flashed stock?
The 1 file "HOME" stock firmware doesn't factory reset after flash, so maybe that's why.
Try find a 4-file firmware of latest version available. They perform reset after flash and usually fixes most software problems.
thanks tys0n for your help and direction.
Managed to get TWRP back and then factory reset + advanced wipe everything
ODIN 6.0.1 and everything is back to stock
thanks again -
hey, i wanna downgrade lollipop to 4.3 jellybean because i loved that version but i m on bootloop screen, odin says pass, phone reboot, dont load setup wizard, just show samsung, and reboot samsung logo, and restart and restart.... i try wipe cache, and data reset. not helped. so i can just flash over 5.0 version ANDROID? I HATE 5.0 tell me why my phone not boot up on 4 4 2 version or 4.3 JELLY BEAN
Once you update to KK, you cannot go back to JB.
why cannot to jb
Because your bootloader has been updated to LP, once that is done there is no way to downgrade. You can try all you want but it won't work
