Hello,
I recently updated my S6E+ to Android 7 thinking it was a good idea, and it was but up until i tried the multi window feature. It is terrible! It lacks the smoothness of the 6.0.1 multi-window. It's very laggy and not very practical like the old one was. I use the multi-window feature nearly 80% of the time i use my phone, It's so bad at 7 that I want to downgrade. How can I do that?
My phone's model is: SM-G928C

True but my phone usage nearly always consists of using multi window and the new multi-window of 7 is not how I want it to be. I'm certain the 6.0.1 is better however I can't seem to find any thread to show me how to downgrade.
don't think you can downgrade
Recovery mode
chache wipe
partition wipe
download mode
odin
flash android 6
factory reset after upgrade ( downgrade )

so wipe everything in twrp or original recovery, and then flash via odin any original 6.0.1 rom and we are back at android 6 even though we update our phones to 7?
EDIT: Tried and it works to downgrade from 7 to 6 trough odin. You dont even need to wipe in recovery. I was on custom rom and just put original 6.0 rom in odin and after complete let it boot, and then go to recovery and factory reset.

Hey,
I made a thread the other day about getting a good ROM because the others seem to die after 3 days. Does anyone have an idea of why this happens? I have tried 6 different ROMS in 4 days and they all the do the same thing; Apps won't open, phone constantly on boot logo, apps crash, phone freezes up, phone won't boot up.
The phone is around 4 weeks old with minimal wear.
I would appreciate all feedback.

That's my problem. When I did flash a custom ROM, they all froze, crashed, non responsive etc etc. So this has made me not want to flash a custom ROM, but I want to because of all the perks that come with flashing /:
You have maybe to update bootloader or modem or recovery before flashing. .
Give some details about your actual configuration and the rom you flash...

I had CWM 6.0.4.7 flashed and I tried Gooh S5+N4 ROM, S5 stock by Jamal, XNote, Omega and N9005 Dev Base (RC tea I think) and a couple others. When flashing, I did all the normal step, wiping cache, wiping data, dalvik when told and leaving the phone for 10 minutes after it boots.
Do you want any information about the actual phone?
You have N9005 international? ???you have flashed stock KK one time???your bootloader and modem version....

I m running with stock recovery if that helps.

1. Reflash the stock ROM.
2. Root with CF Auto Root.
3. Flash this custom recovery: TWRP (better than CWM).
4. You can remove the bloatware (HERE) and enjoy the stock ROM.

Sorry but I don't like the custom Roms. It's coz they are constantly updating and fixing things, no coz they are bad. Every device don't answer in same way with same ROM either. It's only my opinion . Last choice is always yours.

Dear guys,
I had updated my kitkat 4.4.2 to lollipop 5.0 but I faced to major problems which are:
1. My screen shoot (Screen write) function works for maybe 3 or 4 times only and then nothing happens when I get out my pen and press it, so I have to restart the device to make it work for more 3 or 4 times!!!
2. I cannot find a good way to root after upgard it to lollipop. :crying: :crying:

1) Hmm... haven't seen that problem before. Try installing some apps from the play store that allow you to screetshot.
2) How did you previously root? I rooted my LG-D415 Android Version 5.0.2 using Kingroot.

Make sure you have done a clean installation of the ROM. By clean installation I mean make a full wipe, from TWRP (a custom recovery), go to Advanced Wipe and select everything except your external SD, in case you have one installed. Then flash the latest Lollipop ROM via Odin. The latest stable LP ROM I found to be OF3, so get that from sammobile.com.
And root can't be more easy. When you are done flashing the stock ROM via Odin just place this zip on your phone, https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip, reboot to recovery, which will be TWRP (and after flashing the stock ROM you will have to reflash TWRP, cause flashing stock ROM always installs the stock recovery), and just install the zip from there, done.

Go to sammobiles.com and search firmware for your model and download latest see the release date and flash via odin but this will remove root from phone and you will back to stock. Once you remove root and back to stock you will receive ota updates normally.

I seriously f***** up for the first time while trying to flash a custom rom on my cousin's Note 3 SM-N900. I was able to install TWRP and i proceeded to flash a custom rom directly from within TWRP. I kind of got ahead of myself and proceeded to delete/wipe/erase just about everything on the phone before flashing (dalvik, wipe data, cache etc..) and then i proceeded to Install the custom rom directly within TWRP.
Yes i agree i was careless and ****ed up quite a bit but i was so sure it would not go wrong. But it did. Now the phone only loads the initial 'Samsung SM-N900' boot screen and then goes to black. I can still access TWRP and Download modes at will but i am unable to flash a rom or a stock firmware that will work on the phone. I dont know if i ****ed up the bootloader, modem, kernel, etc, but i reckon i did some pretty good damage.
But the fact i can still access TWRP and Download modes gives me hope that i get right my wrongs with your guidance! Please guys help a poor soul out!
So what did you flash or is it a secret rom ?

I first flashed a ROM called Dilshad ROM v8, then when it did not work, i flashed AURORA rom, then Cyanogenmode 13 for note 3 N900 and finally i tried flashing a random stock firmware i downloaded from sammobile page for N900.

I HAVE READ THE POST + REPLIES!! Though , he said he flashed a random samsung software.. But how should i know if he did it with the tar.md5 or flashed it as a regular zip... I'm just a guy tryin to help, so any extra addition may help so don't just regard that as useless
Since term flashing is mostly used with recovery mode, so did he put it on download mode and BL the offical bootloader and PA/PDA the software that supports the same bootloader?

An idea that is maybe a bit risky is to put back the normal (stock) recovery and try to restore update from sd card or something like that... I'm not sure how safe it is so use it as a least resort... I didn't even hear anything like that its just an idea, it may not work... But hope it helps
Hi
I have a similar problem. I have a note 3 with original UK ROM and wanted to flash my operator ROM to get wifi calling. Both are android 5.0
The problem is after trying to flash the first time I had a problem that the new ROM would not fully flash. reading posts I understood I had to flash PIT file which I downloaded and flashed. After flashing PIT the new ROM did not go in so I flashed my original UK.
After reboot I kept getting security warnings that something has changed and I should reboot. After several boots the problem did not go away.
So I tried to flash ROM again, different tries between UK ROM and my operator ROM, but the phone now only loops at booting. Sometimes it gets stuck at first Samsung screen.
Can anyone please help?
Thank you
I understood I had to flash PIT file NO NO NO .
You don't flash a PIT file without good reason .
SM900 is EXYNOS not Qualcomm model .
So what phone model do you actually have as this threads question is N900 .
Ok sorry I have 9005.
i have read all threads about this problem and some of them success..
i flashed with stock firmware using odin and it passed but still stucked on samsung logo, sometimes it can go recovery but it freeze before i can wipe data..but mostly i cant get into recovery mode, only odin mode
most of the proses just like freeze
i would appreciate if there are solution for this
Help pls...??

I am not aware of Samsung blocking this feature, if you really do please provide a linkto the information. You may have a phone that has been altered or modified, perhaps not a 910C or if a used purchase it may be damaged. GL
I have Samsung galaxy note 4 sm-n910c. I have installed custom note 7 port Nemesis Refined Rom. So it's working jus like note 7. With all features including edge screen features. So I suggest you to install the same and have great features with great fun. After the install of Rom download the latest patch and flash it using TWRP or Odin whatever of your choice.
Help i also have this problem too.. Exact same as you and i dont know what to do...
Try using Samsung Kies3 and perform a restore using that.
