I was trying to root my Galaxy Note 3, KitKat, SM-N900T with Odin 3.9. Everything went fine and I got the PASS! message. I disconnect the phone and I expected the automatic booting. That never happened. The screen started to flash the RECOVERING ROOTING (blue), RECOVERING IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING (red) and SET WARRANTY BIT : RECOVERY(yellow). Nothing that I did after that worked to get rid of those messages. I wonder if my new phone is bricked now or if I have a chance of recover it. Taking the battery out and putting in again plus holding all the buttons doesn't stop the messages from flashing. Please help!

Thank you for the suggestion but no idea how to do it with a phone stuck in the booting screen. Any help on how to get rid of it? Once that is done then I can proceed with your steps.
Take the battery out, put back in (dont turn back on)and hold volume up, home and power button. It'll take you into download mode.
Then flash your stock ROM via Odin

I tried that many times. It doesn't take me to the download mode but again to the screen I mentioned. Frustrating!..
It just keeps bootlooping you mean?
Keep trying to get into download mode, might be that you're catching the power button first and powering the phone back on.
Can you get into recovery ? Volume down and power/home button.
You should be able to get to one of them at least

Try this.
Remove and put battery back in, don't power on.
Hold Vol Down + Power + Home Button all at the same time until the warning message comes up then let go of the buttons. Finally press Vol Up only and you'll be in download mode. Connect phone to usb.
Flash this CF Auto root courtesy of Chainfire thru odin. Not sure if CF updated it for 4.4 but one poster said it worked for him on his Tmo.
Optionally flash a custom recovery cause you will have a stock recovery after rooting.

I had the same issue, I did as you said, but now I am stuck at RECOVERY BOOTING... RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING Set Warranty Bit: recovery.
(it never shows the orange pirate rooting guy)
however, against all judgement I tried it with the sm9005 instead of the sm900t file and it passed into the orange pirate root guy, however it gets stuck at the boot logo, do you guys have any Idea what could be wrong?

I've got myself stuck a couple times... both times I booted into download mode and selected reboot phone... it worked both times. As stated in another reply, make sure you pull the battery then replace and make sure you are holding home/vol/power... and make sure you get the home/vol buttons before you press and hold power.

HI there, guys! I just read the whole thread and maybe you can help me also! I'm facing a less critical, but similar problem.
I use Omega ROM (Android 4.3 yet) and just after a reboot my device is stuck at boot animation forever. The only thing I did before rebooting was freeze S Finder using Titanium Backup (after it was enabled again because Samsung updated it a few days ago) and move some apps to SD Card using Clean Master.
The critical part is that I can't enter Recovery Mode to try to solve wiping caches because my Reactivation Lock feature is enabled, so I can't access it.
Is there anything I can do except from flashing stock ROM over Omega itself? I can't lose my files on internal storage. There are pretty important ones! =/

Official update ruined my phone .

So i just got the official update on my phone , i downloaded it over WiFi and let it install , It came up with optimising apps and i let it continue and then it rebooted ,
However it is stuck in this Booting sequence . It boots into my home screen then 3 seconds and it reboots again and goes to home screen and then reboots again - constantly .
I have now taken battery out and posted here to see if i can get some help in fixing this .
its not rooted or anything like that , its a normal stock android .
Thanks
Dan
No need to panic. I assume yours is the 9500 variant. But i cant guarantee the data in your phone. I even dont know the data retrieval procedure since you say that your phone is unbootable .
If you already have your contacts , messaging and others which can be backed up to google servers, backed up then you dont need to worry, you know...
The steps i provide you is only an outline and you have to read in depth in this forum..
Just enter recovery mode of the phone and select wipe. Refer this forum for detailed
Your phone will be back to working condition i suppose. If it is so, then dont just stop with that. Use ODIN to flash the ROM downloaded which is around 1.5gb to your phone by following the steps . You can get the ROM as well as ODIN by the links provided in this forum itself.
Detailed steps are available in this forum and they are exhaustive so i need not tell more.
Good Luck.

Hello dude. The best option you have to do is this:Turn off your phone. Press volume up+the power button in the same time and voila!!! You will be in the recovery mode in no second.
After that choose the "factory reset/wipe" option (i am not sure about the title) and press yes.I think that might help you. But be careful, you will lose all your installed apps and maybe some data like contacts... It's your choice!

Yes i managed to get into recovery and i factory reset it . Thankfully all my data is synced with google (their not all bad lol ) and it booted up just fine , ran through setup and now i am installing all my apps again .
Rather ten minutes of going through all this than having a bricked phone.
Thanks for the help .
You can also first try to just wipe the cache in the recovery.
Remember that performing a full wipe in the normal recovery also wipes your internet storage.
If you don't want that, then flash a custom recovery and then wipe.

flash stock firmware.
go to sammobile.com
Search for grand 2 firmware
then download it.
The firmware must base on your country.
after that flash using odin.
after complete. Remove battery then insert it again.
go to recovery
wipe everything
then reboot system
wait about 10 minutes
congrats your phone is normal again
Solution to your problem:
You will need to download the NK1 version of kitkat 4.4.2 stock firmware.
1) install samsung kies or samsung usb drivers so that your PC will detect your phone.
2) Switchoff your phone first and put it in download mode by pressing volume down and home button and power button at the same time.
3) connect your phone to your PC through the usb cable and start odin. (The com port turns blue in odin which means phone is detected).
4) In odin, check the "Nand erase all" in the checkbox and then click on "AP" buttion and select the "G7102DDUBNK1_G7102ODDBNK1_G7102DDUBNK1_HOME.tar" file.
5) Click the start button and wait for 5 mins till the OS is installed.
6) After installation, on your phone it might show 'memory damaged' and 'erase memory'. Don't worry, nothing is damaged or serious, just click to reset and everything will be fine.
7) Done!

Which firmware were you on before the first boot loop? Flash that firmware, and don't forget to pull the battery afterwards.
(Don't hit thanks, hit the phone on a pillow/bed of you think its hardware related).

Hang on second boot usually means a corrupt data partition or bad app.
After factory reset leave your tablet alone for 15mins. It should boot after that.

Go to recovery and factory reset again then immediately boot to Download mode and flash the correct firmware with odin.
Make sure there are no errors when flashing and it flashes successfully.
Reboot and wait at least 10mins.

It is not broken @pitho. I have been in this situation. The problem is occurring because Samsung is such a heavily modded rom, it takes a long time to load and just as @ashyx said, because of a bad app. Some apps are aimed for Vanilla Android, but the developer does not restrict the app only for Vanilla devices but makes it universal. So, in order to get out, download the correct firmware from Updato.com
Press on the OS Updates in the website and you type in the device's name and the current build and what kind of version you want. (Ex: If you have Marshmallow, and your device had Lollipop before, you could degrade your firmware)
Download Odin (Just search it up on Google and you should find a download link)
Plug in your device to the PC after it is in Download Mode (Volume Down + Power Button + Home Button)
On Odin, it should say Device added!
Press AP slot and find the firmware (.tar.md5 or just .tar) you downloaded from Updato.com and select it.
Press Start on the bottom of the application and it should start. It takes about 2 minutes or longer to finish flashing.
There! You just restored your device! It will take a few minutes for the device to boot up and should be installing any additional files that were included in the Official Firmware.
Happy Flashing with ODIN!

J5 not booting up

First it started right into Odin Mode. After holding Volume Down and Power to exit it, the screen went black (as expected). However, afterwards it won't boot up again. Tried normal boot, recovery and download. Removed the battery and put it again, didn't work. Also tried various cables and outlets. Tried the sequence for download mode (holding Power + Volume Down + Home, then pressing Volume Up - even if it didn't show anything on screen) and connected it to my PC. The computer played the sound as if a device was connected, then after some seconds Windows said that the USB device was not recognized. Odin did not recognize it either. Samsung 300K tool doesn't work as well. Do you have any suggestions, please? It's quite urgent.

I'm sorry to say that.. It's a hardware related issue... U need to take it to service center to repair Thank you
I've flashed marshmallow stock on stock lollipop via Odin but after completion J500H boots and immediately resets or off after first boot screen appears. so please help that why this problem is here???
Also please tell that custom ROM can be installed on the J500H or not ( bootloops and restart issue immediately)
Is it possible to flash again? If yes...
Then first wipe delvik cache then flash again, before flashing make sure to untick auto reboot on odin's log option... After flashing done don't reboot immediately first wipe delvik cache then restart...
If it doesn't allow you to flash then u need to take it to service center...
Yes it's possible to install custom rom using Odin but sometimes it fails if usb debugging is not enabled! You can search on Google for that or any thread here.
