consider providing more info like apps and other usage to assess/comment on your situation. i'm likely not the typical smartphone user (by today's definition), but i'm getting solid battery life for my uses/needs. i'm not the gaming type, no facebook/twitter checking or posting and mainly emails, texts, phone calls. below are screen shots from 1 moderate-to-high usage day (for me); 17 hours on battery, 7 hours screen time, 2 hours of calls, emails (75)/replies (40) 50 text messages, approximately 1.5 hours of screen time was web-browsing. will continue usage and make final keep/return assessment next week. as an FYI, this is a T-Mo G6 that's been sim-unlocked and being used on ATT.

Did you do a restore or a clean install of all your apps? Ive been getting consistently 6 1/2 hours SOT everyday for the past week. Pulling off the charger at 6:30 am and putting it back on the charger around midnight with right about 37-40% left. I did a clean install, no restores.

i know your reply was to the OP, just wanted to confirm that i reinstalled all apps from scratch via the play store as well - was quite painful as i would usually reinstall via TB or backup.

As much as it will suck, I'd reset it and start over. It should have leveled out by now.

Today was my first day starting with a full battery. Regular use all day long: lots of texts, several phone calls, checking email, adjusting settings, you name it (but no gaming) - a fairly heavy day of use for me. Unplugged at 7:45 a.m. It is now 4:30 p.m. and I have 63% left. FWIW, I'm pretty happy with that.
Today was my first day on a full charge as well, I took it off the charger at 6:30 am and it had some light use throughout my day. As of me writing this post I'm at 51% which is okay but I feel like if it could be optimized a little better I would be super happy with it.
2 hours of screen on time
Seems like the "phone idle" is hogging..
Mine has been on par with my S5 so far. With this having a taller screen (the width is almost the same), I'd say that's pretty impressive.
It does seem a little unoptimized in certain spots. That is, certain processes may impact battery more than others. For example, geotagging. I turned that off because I felt like it was impacting battery. Bluetooth always stays on because I use it for file send and occasionally use it with my headphones when I go for walks.
Update, day 2 my outlook has turned around. I will post at the end of the day but with 1hr SOT I'm at 82% with an estimated 26.5 remaining. (And this was taken off charger at 6:45am.
Going on day 3 and today had some heavy use. Lots of camera use (video and pictures... Cameras are pretty awesome), texting, ton of taking and watching Snapchats and Instagram. Got up at 6am and writing this now with 52%. So far very happy and hopefully will last.
Well as the day rolls into a close I am suuuuuper happy with my results today. This is for sure my current favorite phone now and ideally as doze acclimates more to my behaviour it will keep getting better! Really loving the display though. Quite captivating to look at.
3hr sot (double yesterday's or so)
This is very disappointing.
I have the H870DS variant and I barely get 4:30h of SOT with 1h of voice calls at 15% battery remaining ( using mixed wifi and 4g )
I see that all of you have a high phone idle usage, higher that the SOT. Really this does not seem very good to me.
Having the OP3T, and using it in the same manner, I was getting 1-1.5 hours more that the G6. What is wrong with it ? For me it looks like a software problem
Help Pls

The same happens with mine LG G6. Based on battery stats it seems that the yop battery consumer is Android OS. Did you factory reset? It yes what happened?
Hi. I have lg g6 (h870) for now 3 weeks. Battery life for me is awesome!!:good: Previous phone was huawei P10. With G6 i have 2 days with 5-5,5 SOT. (with P10 i have 1 day with 4,5-5 SOT). G6 heavy use-26hours on battery i have easy 7-8 hour SOT. Stock FW,no root, V10u

HELP - Only 3-3,5 hours of SOT :crying:
HELP PLEASE! I've had this phone for almost 2 weeks now and I can't manage to get more than 3, 3-1/2 hours of SOT. I use it almost all day with WIFI and screen brightness at an average of 40% or less all day. Phone idle seems to be consuming at least 15-20% of the battery, is that the problem? The other30-35% is consumed by the apps and 15-20% by the system.
Instead of resurrecting ancient threads why don't you read the ultimate battery thread, plenty of things to try there.

I have been on here a couple of times complaining about my lousy battery. Well, today I decided to see exactly how far I can take this thing before it conks out on me. Here are my results.
The phone up-time was just over 19 hours, with 14% battery left. (I took my results at 14% because I didn't want the phone turning off on me thus losing all data.) About 49% of the battery was used by the screen, which was on for a total of 3 hours and 20 minutes during this 19 hour period. The rest was split up among other activities, but the most notable/concerning area is 43 seconds of voice took up almost 2% of total battery usage.
I could probably pull out another half-hour or so usage before the phone's battery totally dies, so my final number is 4 hours of usage out of a full charge. This is total usage, i.e. the screen was on for 4 hours.
The phone was at lowest brightness all day except for 10-15 minutes where I had it on full 'cause I was using it outside. I am not using any CPU throttling apps, or such. Background is not fully black. I use one widget, rest are icons. I have Advanced Task Killer which I routinely use to kill tasks, but to be completely honest, unless there is a rouge task ATK does not increase battery life by much. Phone was on 3G primarily, although there were times during the day when I was on EDGE because of weak signal.
All in all, the battery on the Vibrant is pathetic for what it has (Super AMOLED, 45 nm, etc.) but I am glad I can at least last a day. Hopefully Samsung has addressed battery issues in Froyo.
Feel free to post your results on how long you can make your battery last below, so we can all get a better idea. Please do not post "my battery lasts XX days" - give details on your usage, like how I mentioned the battery was at 14% after 19 hours up-time, but actual usage was 3 hours and 20 minutes. Often times it seems like many people brag about how "great" their Vibrant's battery is, but really they rarely use the phone all day hence the "great" battery life.
I completely feel your pain. I had the same issues with my vibrant also. I personally do not believe it is the battery any more because after I applied the ryanza one click lag fix my battery life practically tripled. I kept a very close eye on my usage and settings for the first few weeks. I would get about 12 hours out of a full charge and I would barely use the phone. Frustrated me to no end because I would hear people say that 12 hours with a powerful phone like vibrant is expected. To me it was not acceptable.
I never changed any settings or installed any programs after doing the lag fix but it certainly had a drastic effect. Ill get more statistics when I get home, im at work right now.

mine has superb battery life. I am always confident it will get me pass the day and more. obviously, if I game and web a lot, it will drain faster. For my typical day, it's perfect. I went on to over 2 days with this charge. What an awesome battery!
I get about 5 hours of usage. On wifi it goes up a like a hour .

Have to agree with this. I tried it out and got quite a boost. I didn't keep as good of details as the OP on my battery use but prior to juice defender a was struggling to make a day. Now a day is not a problem. My typical usage is probably pretty high, lots of internet, lots of tinkering right now plus working on morphs and things, I do keep my screen all the way down except when outside (rarely use my phone outdoors so not much of that), no widgets, no task killer. When I installed juice defender I used the stock settings with the exception of allowing gmail and chat to sync anytime. Juice defender says I'm getting an average of 1.7x the battery life. I think almost all of that comes from when the phone is asleep.
Edit. Checked on details.
Pulled my phone off the charger at 6 am it was at 100%. Used to to do some reading on my way to work (about 30min on the train) worked on some morphs, checked some emails, downloaded some stuff. I'm at 82% and it's 12:20.
Cell standby 39%
Display 33%
phone idle 23%
Various 5%
I use my phone for quite a bit during the day and pull about 13 hours before it starts blinking at me. I personally have zero problems with that amount of battery life from a device of such caliber. My best friend was complaining about her battery in her Vibrant and like I tell everyone else, it's probably some rogue app somewhere. She didn't believe me so we swapped batteries 3 days ago and I still get the same usage times out of her battery as I did mine and her battery life has improved significantly as well.
I don't know what is is that people are doing to get 4-5 hours but 13+ with average use (text, moderate browsing, syncing all day, screen at full brightness all day) is to be expected with this phone. I will post a screenshot of consistency over the course of this weekend to visualize my point.
Also I do not use a task killer of any kind except the Android built in one and I removed hers as well

You mean if you actually use the phone it will drain a lot faster. Your post is a perfect example of what I mean when I said people post very misleading results. For those ~40 hours that your Vibrant has been up, your display has only been on 1, maybe 2 hours (hence only 8% battery usage). Your result is not accurate at all - you aren't using the phone. Anyone can get great battery by letting it sits for hours on in.

Thanks I will look at Juice Defender, but I am not too sure what it will do to help improve my battery which I am not doing already. (I leave GPS off, WiFi off when im not using, have applied lagfix, etc.)
The Droid X is known to get 7-8 hours; and considering the Vibrant has power-friendly hardware, the Vibrant should be getting the same.

When you say 13+ hours, do you mean total up-time or total usage time? Because, as I mentioned in my post, my total up-time was ~19 hours, but usage was actually ~4.

Oh, and an FYI: I just called up T-Mobile and had them send me a new battery. FWIW, I am not being charged anything (not even shipping) and I don't have to send back my current battery. I love the retention department .
Can someone post up what they do/what settings they use for juice defender? I installed it but I really don't see how it could save me any more battery seeing that I keep wifi, gps, and all that off, plus my screen is on the lowest setting at all times
Hi all,
What I found out that works best for me is, no task killer, no juice defender, lowest display setting possible, and turning off 3g. 3g ready drains the battery. Task killers are pretty worthless. Do some research on that topic. Android kills programs all by itself. And task killers run in the background, using up battery. My phone is rooted, so I run autostarts to control what starts at boot. My uptime isn't great, but its adequate enough to last from morning to night. I do agee that the battery life when using the phone itself for voice calls is sub part at best. I do believe froyo will help with a lot of these problems. Just my 2ยข.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
DON'T use task killer. Vibrant has really good system resource management. With task killers constantly killing core system processes, the phone has to use more power to keep restarting them.
You can read more about it here: http://geekfor.me/faq/you-shouldnt-be-using-a-task-killer-with-android/
And only turn on active sync for apps that you absolutely need to have them syncing all the time.
This should make your phone last for a whole day with decent usage. If you are still getting very short up time, you probably have a bad battery. Call T-Mo and ask for a replacement.
It all depends on usage. The first days when I got my Vibrant, I was downloading apps all day, or browsing websites, so the battery barely lasts for a day. I usually leave my phone plugged in to my laptop when going to sleep, and set the laptop to auto-shutdown in 4 hour, so the phone gets unplugged at about 4:30 am. With that heavy usage, I needed to recharge at about 7 pm.
However, now that I'm not playing with it that much, the battery life improves greatly. Now I usually do 10-20 text messages and about 30 minutes voice call everyday, also some browsing on the xda forum, and maybe reply several emails. The battery is usually at 40 percent at 10 pm. The only thing I can complain about is that with 40% battery left, I don't want to do a complete recharge, but it won't last the second day either.

I've found that rebooting the phone after taking it off of charge, the battery life is awesome. There seem to be some wakelocks that kill the battery and for some reason, charging has something to do with it.
I don't know if this is why, but I heard the G2 has special screen technology that greatly reduces battery drain.

Yeah, somthing about 30% lower battery use or something like that. It's 6 hours since I took mine off the charger, must admit very moderate use, some toying, some photos, some mails and 1 phone call. but still, my phone is at 96% battery. My old S2 would be at 60% at this point.

I tried this and it worked. However, one instance is not proof I guess haha. I will experiment more tomorrow (namely, not rebooting after charging) and let you know what I find. I wonder what specifically about charging may cause wakelocks?
Over 48 hours of use, more than 50% battery left. 3,5 hours screen time. Android system worst offender with 35%, screen 2nd with 25%.

If you look at the programs listed under Android System, try uninstalling the ones that you would never use. This has seemed to help me. But to be honest it was kind of unnessary because the battery life is just crazy badass. In a few weeks or so when the devs have there way this phone is going to be epic.
It is two things, which by the way are great news.
A) LG's screen tech which doesn't refresh pixels when the images are static
and B) IPS
What we can't control is screen power consumption, but guess what? We can control android system consumption through kernels and roms. This means that we can *hopefully* expect EVEN BETTER! battery life since the screen is, for 80% of users, the main culprit for energy drain.
Just a quick note that flashing CleanROM on my ATT LG G2 basically took my battery life from <20% at the end of the workday to just under 80% at the end of the work day with increased use on the CleanROM install. Highly recommended.
Been off the charger since 6:50 this morning. Sitting here at work doing some texting, Words With Friends, and a test call for a co-worker...96% at 12:15pm. My Nexus would have been at 40% by now.
So is Android System different from Android OS?
I normally can squeeze out 15-22 hours since installing Snapdragon Battery Guru. Which has been working great until today.
Here's my situation today:
-100% charge at around 1230am. Light to moderate usage leaves me with
-77% between night before and waking up (only dropped like 2% overnight) at
-830, then i worked from 9 to 1230 so i didnt use my phone too much. But since ive been off work ive been using it more so im not too surprised about my low battery level currently.
But what concerns me is Android OS using half my battery! It says its been active for more than 4 hours and i dont understand where it comes from. Its way more than my screen usage even with a screen time of little over 3 hours.
Anyone know whats up with Android OS? It doesnt tell me what is running when i select it so im lost.
Also ive done many of the suggestions in this thread with positive results. Ive been monitoring my wakelocks and since doing some of the suggestions on here nlpcollector has actually gone down.

Just to benchmark .... I used the phone moderatley ..
I did.. a little over 50 hours of total on time
4.75 hours of on screen time,
2 hours of spotify with bluetooth for the entire time,
2 hours of MapMyRun with GPS running ..
then various text messaging and a couple phone calls
The only modifications i've made to the stop experiance is taking of google's location service for programs, but leaving GPS active .. and changing the screen to auto-brightness, baseline of 50%.
I came from the SGS2 ..... with 1 hour of on screen time and the other spotify and bluetooth .. i'd be around 10-20% after 8-10 hours !!!!!
Mines pretty awesome.

I'm not sure if my battery is defective or not. Right out of the box was around 75% and I drained it until it turned off then charged it to full.
Over the next few days at work it's on wifi and then on 3G/4G before /after work. I pull it from the charger at 7:30am and by 7pm its at 40%. Then on Friday night I unplugged it at 12am with 100% and woke up the next day with 80%. It's dropping like 1% about 10-15minutes. Would a factory reset fix the battery drain? or call for a replacement?

I have the Tmobile G2. I'm a bit concerned about my LG G2 battery. Can others suggest a test that we can both follow so that I can compare my battery life to yours. The phone seems to be alright when idling for 8 hours as I slept it only lost 3%. When it comes to charging it went from 0% to 52% in about an hour, and was at 90% on its way to the 2 hour mark. But when using it just to browse and stuff it seems like its dying a bit fast.
So let me know things like screen brightness, apps to run and what not so we can compare how long our batteries last. That way I can return it before my 14 days are up. Thanks for your help in advance.

So im going to wing this out for the rest of today and let it run down without charging it agian... if it lasts me all day ill post because im having a theory that the way the battery percentages on this phone are different cause of the new technology in the battery cause it seems that certain percantages last FOREVER then others go through rather quickly i think im just used to how my old phones percentages escilated ill repost when it dies or when i go to sleep
I would say I am medium to heavy user I stream music via Bluetooth everyday talk for 30 plus minutes on Bluetooth a day and play music in car hour a day and play games hour plus a day and I leave brightness on auto never on Wi-Fi lte only and I close all apps.
I charged my phone to about 94% went to bed with it at 89%. Woke up with at 86%, 8 hours later. My brightness varied through out the day from 23-60%, currently at 40%. Mainly did browsing and fb for a bit today. For about an hour while browsing the phone was on airplane mode with Wifi on. As of now at 54%, battery usage 16h 2mins, expected time to use +18h 54mins, last 3 hours in use, used 9%.
My battery use details:
Android System 25%
Screen 22%
Android OS 14%
Chrome 8%
Cell standby & idle 6%
I run near max manual brightness, a live wallpaper, GPS, WiFi on all the time, automatically checking email every 10 minutes, lots of phone calls and texts, and I still have 79%. Off charger since before 7a.m. Software says I have 36 hours left. Best battery life I have ever had on any phone, any Rom.

That's crazy my phone has been on for 19h 29mins without all that auto sync and other stuff you have running and I'm at 35% with an expected

Well, that's still not too bad. Are you a gamer? How's your signal most of the time?
Also, I'm on VZW, in case that makes a difference.

Not a gamer, tmobile usually 3-5 Bars 4g lte. I dont get how it just dies so much off of browsing alot but so efficient when sleeping. My phone is at 11% now after alot of browsing and talking on the phone for an hour. As I type this I've been on a phone call and googling info about battery tests for 45 mins.
this is complete BS!

i have a verizon version and compared it to my moms 4s battery running iOS7
heres the deal her battery usage is like 3hrs 7mins mine is 6hrs 23mins mines at 2% hers is at 51% we both unplugged the same time so this means im getting the same battery life as a 4s running iOS 7 plus she keeps her data and everything on i turn mine off when not in use... so did i get a defective battery? cause if my battery is the same as a 4s running iOS7 im not gonna be a happy person i know i should get at least 15-16+hrs of battery use and still have like 20-30% left! UGHH and my phone reboots into the verizon logo alot when i unlock it i think i got a horribly manufactured g2... just my luck what do you guys think?
It feels like i have the original droid razr battery life agian Dx my razr m lasted longer!
Unplugged my phone at 98%, went to bed woke up with it at 95%. Then had the screen on for an hour straight just messaging ppl on fb. Now I'm at 87%, that's not normal right? Screen is on auto brightness nothing else going on.
Can anyone confim that this is normal? i have an LG g2 with 3000mah and i loose 1% of battery every MINUTE while playing games, so 10 minutes of modern combat 4 or plats vs zombies is around 10 %, 60-70% brightness, sound half way or headphones. Some people are speaking about "5h of screen time easily" while i get 2-3h ...
My battery seems fine but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not using the standard "fast charge" method to charge it over night. At night I recommend either a Wireless Qi Charge or a "Slow Charge" from a standard USB port or a smaller charger like one from an iPhone (the little cubes with a USB port).
There is a HUGE difference on battery life throughout the day between a Normal Fast Charge and a USB Slow Charge.
I only use Fast Charge when I'm out and about throughout the day but I haven't needed to do that with the G2. On my Galaxy Nexus I could fast charge it to 80% and it would be dead in 3 hours just idling in my pocket.
Hi,
Just bought the LG G4,
it is a great phone!
The screen, sound, speed are amazing!
but just the battery life is too short.
When the phone was fully charged (98%)
I kept whatsapp and wechat running for sure.
I believe the full screen video playback is no longer than 1 hour
about 1 hour of game play. I believe it is a very heavy game. just pretend it needs much of juice
Total calls of 10 minutes within this 8 hours.
1 hours of music playback
No account auto sync everything else same as factory default.(when i was using Sony Xperia z2 i have everything turned on and i can easily reach 18hours)
I have no idea how can people can over 12 hours or even 2 days.
Now the phone is only 9% left.
What apps is best to analyse the battery use and what do i have to look for and avoid or uninstall?
You mentioned you just got it. Give it time to settle in. If it keeps happening try a factory reset. Also monitor the battery temp. There could also be an app that may be causing some issues.
Also if your comparing it to your last phone, Xperia Z2- Physical size its 5.2 inches compared to LG G4 5.5 it has less pixel density of 424ppi vs 538ppi of LG G4 and screen resolution 1080x1920pixels vs LG G4 1440x2560pixels. That factors into the battery life. You also now have a removable battery vs Xperia Z2. I'd say 8hrs is decent. I just got 2 replacement batteries and charger from Hyperion and getting my free battery and charger from LG. Battery longevity is definitely not an issue for me.

My first day was fantastic battery life. But maybe how you charged it influenced the first day? Hmm... Are you using Wi-Fi or 3G? I think for whatsapp 4G is overkill so I disabled it.

I'm sure your battery usage will get better after a day or two.
Also keep in mind that if you bought it in July you get a free extra battery, external battery charger, and leather back. Click Here
Also aftermarket batteries with higher capacity will be available in the future I'm sure ..that's what I did with my gs4
Sent from my LG-H810 using Tapatalk
Keep in mind that every time you reset and redownload/resync everything, it takes a lot of power.
Can you post some screen shots of total time on battery, as well as screen-on time?
Just a matter of patience. Battery life was horrible as well for me in the first two days and now two weeks in its phenominal battery life.
Actually i have been using the phone since last Saturday,
Everynight wait till 10% or lower than full charge until next day.
Now i can have around 10 hours. But I just don't know how people can reach 20 to 29hours.
Even at dimmest light, WIFI only it still can't reach 20hrs, can it?
Secondly i want to know is there apps that can monitor the voltage input and out put. I am saying a apps that can tell how much time i have spent on browsing, gaming, screen time, background services ...
Simply logging one day of usage.
Used 7.0hours with 35% left and say 3.5hours left
which cannot last one day for me
I am very happy with my battery so far. I shut off a bunch of crap and I can go almost the whole day. I know if root comes it will be amazing!
The LG g4 H815 international from UK I got battery life is ridiculous. I charged it yesterday, it sat unhooked all night long. I didn't even lose a percent until 10 hours off the charger. It was idle all night. But still, my Note 4 never did that.

Its very easy and you do not need root.
I want to mention that I had tremendous luck using the built in LG backup tool with a factory reset. Back the whole phone up using LG Backup. Factory reset it, and then restore the phone using LG Backup. The restore was nearly flawless for me (just a couple apps had to be uninstalled and reinstalled from the play store) and it literally doubled my battery life without changing any of the apps I had running. Not sure what it did exactly but it definitely worked.

Can you share a list of disabled apps? I disabled what I could but was not so sure about some apps so I must have some unneeded apps running. Nit that my battery life were that bad now but could be still better.

Mostly Im interested in apps that all G4:s have and that can't be disabled through Android or cause that annoying update available message in Play store.
Sent from my LG G4
When I first got my G4 I was experiencing poor battery life so I started experimenting by disabling various things. The most effective was turning off Google location history, for the first time ever I got 5+ hours of screen on time.
seems whenever i play games or full screen movie, the battery will drop tremendously.
I have enabled the "game optimizer" however i don't see any significant help.
usually when i play games and movie, the "last 3 h in use" will be above 25%
8 hours seems pretty good. I average 5-6 hours. And I have two batteries, both last about the same amount of time.
No real life review thread on this one yet, so let's get the ball rolling on this. Any Telstra customers with their device have anything to say on this?
I haven't felt the need to charge mine yet. Because I don't have one.
And no one still share his battery life...
Can you share with us guys? Like guys with Pixel XL did
So, i'm gonna give it a go.
I am really satisfied with the battery life after three days of being a daily driver.
After my day of work it has 31% left with google assistant/now, 70% WiFi 30% LTE, Bluetooth always on, auto adjust brightness 3.56 hours display time, most of the time i used chrome.
No pics because i don't know to add them via mobile browser.
For now: much better than my old nex5 and OnePlusX.
I like!
I just got mine today and fully charged it and then synced my n5x, rebooted and it was down to 90%. Highly intensive processing so I'll not judge by that. Did some more setup, charged again. Phone call for about 30 min, down to 95%. Not bad but not great. It's way too early for me to make a determination as some here have been running it for 3 days with better results.
I'll either update this post or make a new one depending on traffic. Overnight will tell me a lot. I've been getting about 0.5% - 0.8% / hour drain overnight on my 5x so let's see how this one does. One thing I will say is that the phone is beautiful, great size, great feel. great display and quick as a bug. If the battery holds up it's a definite keeper for sure. If any of you have an iPhone 6 or 6s, put them side by side and I dare you to tell them apart. lol.
There is another thread on this but my battery is abysmsl
Google Play services battery drain. No unusual apps, pretty much out of the box because its getting replaced already due to screen issues. Not sure why...
I have really high android OS usage, but still get great battery life. 4 hours SOT, 16 hours usage. Will be interesting to see what i can get when I find the cause of this Android OS drain
Phone calls kill me but otherwise not looking too bad.
Sent from my Pixel using XDA-Developers mobile app
The phone lasts me the entire day, but by the end of the day its pretty close to dying out.
So not as good as my S7 Edge, or even close, however it's good enough.
I charge my phone every night, anyways, so doesn't really bother me.
I was less than impressed to be honest. I'll know more when I actually spend a few days with it out and in use.
I must not use my phone all that much. So far, extremely better battery than my iPhone 5s. I guess it is a doubling in mAh but also a bigger screen. I am happy with it so far.
Definitely doesn't charge to 70% in 15 minutes though like they bragged about.

Well they said "7 hours of use" from 15 minutes of charging, whatever the hell that means lol.
Coming from a Galaxy S6 Edge I am very happy with my battery life. Currently I'm at 1 day 5 hrs with 2 hrs 5 min phone calls and 1 hr 47 min of screentime with about an hour of music in there....right now I have 28% left. I typically use my phone for browsing the web, chatting, work email and facebook so all in all I'm very pleased.

They never said that. They said 7 hours of use in 15 minutes.
I'm actually pretty happy with it so far. I have the regular Pixel and in my few full days of normal usage I'm getting through the day pretty easily. 8AM - 11PM or so leaves me with about 10% left on the phone, and usually approx 4.5 hours of screen on time. This is especially impressive to me since this is with GPS ON, Bluetooth ON, mostly on LTE with only "ok" reception in my office, auto-brightness set half way, everything syncing, connected to my gear fit 2. That's definitely better than I got on the 5x and way better than I was getting on my last phone - the galaxy s7. I was getting maybe at most 3.5 hours screen on time with the S7, and that was with GPS OFF, brightness set to around 30% or as low as I could set it and still see clearly, and even with a ROM that included battery optimizations (and yes it did seem to provide slightly more battery than stock).
So this is great thus far. If I were going out late or something after work then I would probably top it up, but otherwise this is the first time in awhile I haven't felt the compulsion to constantly plug in my phone when I get a chance for fear it will die on me. I also hope that this will only improve as development picks up and people release optimized ROMs/Kernels.
Can someone with good battery life compare this to what they get?
13 hours
at 64%
Android System 176mah
Android OS 156mah
Screen 1hr 15m (151mah)
Voice Calls 15m (88mah)

Overall I'm really satisfied with the battery. after a night and day of heavy use, games, browsing, installing apps I'm still at 20%. Hardly any power drained in standby.
Decent
Battery has been pretty good for me so far. Seems to be settling in with optimization after a few days. Dropped 0% overnight last night which is awesome.
GSAM Monitor is saying my average is 19 hrs on, 4.5 hours of screen on time usage, 1-2 hours of screen off usage like phone calls, music.
