I made a mistake - a tool Phone Flash Tool when I flash new rom choose "Erase Flash Factory" and now I have a tablet BIOS (right system for my tablet - android) and I can not move. Can anyone advise how to flash back android recovery, boot and system? Use the Phone Flash Tool can now - the tablet is available for PFT
although is not very clear what you are saying (google translate?) considering the words you used i guess you tried to flash a kitkat stock rom on your 1050F (that had lollipop on it)
however you did that without first downgrading the bios to the kitkat version and this causes now the device to enter bios when started (lollipop bios is still there and it cannot load the kitkat files)
flash lollipop stock rom (not the kitkat one), download the lollipop 1050F stock rom from here, extract and flash from dnx mode using intel phone flash tool
if what you want is to go back to kitkat instead you must first downgrade the bios, read this post for that

you need to have your tab in dnx mode when you start to flash
to start in dnx mode: from power off press and hold BOTH volume keys, now press the Pwr button to start and release it when the tab is starting (buzzing) but still keep pressed the volume keys, in a few seconds screen will show a "Fastboot starting..." message and hang on that. you MUST have that "Fastboot starting..." message on the screen before you continue. now you can go on and "Start to flash" with Phone Flash Tool
if you have NOT downgraded the bios then flash the lollipop stock rom from the previous post, this is the link again. also, if you flash lollipop you should install and use the Intel Phone Flash Tool that you can find in the 'drivers' folder in the extracted zip and uninstall first the one you have
if you HAVE downgraded the bios using the restore-kitkat-bios-830-1050-v2.exe tool from the linked thread in the prev post, then you must flash the kitkat stock rom use this
That's what I did - but Flash will be 50% and again an error

1. have you downgraded the bios or not?
2. are you using the stock rom from the links i gave you?
3. have you installed the Intel Phone Flash Tools from the 'drivers' folder?
4. when you click 'Start to flash' is you tab in DnX mode? (screen message must be 'Fastboot starting...")

I have 10 64bit win, it could be a problem?
I have produced a video?
if you downgraded the bios using the restore kitkat bios tool it means you are on a kitkat bios and you must use the kitkat stock rom
try to install also the IntelAndroidDriver file from the 'drivers' folder and try again to flash (kitkat stock rom from dnx mode)
if it fails copy all the log fomr Intel Phone Flash Tool and attach it to a reply so i can see what is saying
when you downgraded the bios was it successful? was your tab automatically rebooting at the end?
what is your native language?

you cannot upgrade from kitkat to lollipop this way (flashing lollipop over an existing kitakat). you must upgrade the normal way, using the System Updates (OTA).
the lollipop stock rom is to be used AFTER you already are on lollipop and you need a fresh stock rom on your tab (because you bricked or you modified your lollipop etc)
hi
thank u solve py problem with custom kitkat rom.my tablet alive
Hi all,
Saw this thread which looks like exactly what i need though its closed and i cannot see instructions/attachments..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/thi...-unlocking-daaa-deee-daaa-dooo-t3241260/page9
I have a soft bricked Y2 that i am trying to fix.
Looks like i need 1050f-esp-patched.img and then i assume i flash esp through fastboot... either through DNX or Droidboot.
Can anyone please help with providing? Will click "Thanks"
Cheers.
i should add that i am open to suggestions as well.. the unit is a 1050F and it boots to a EFI Shell command line.. this happened after an official OTA update.. thanks Lenovo
hmm actually found the patched img.. though doesnt work through fastboot either through Droidboot or Fastboot Ready options.. comes up with Unknown error..
Cant even flash the official firmware with flash.xml get Partition errors.. looks like its fubar..
Look here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/thi...-lenovo-yoga-tab-2-1050f-softbricked-t3319124. post 7 ,all the files you need are linked there.
The ROM files say there is an error,it's something to do with the size and what G Drive allows?,just download the files, they are clean and correct.
Thanks mate downloading all the files from #7 now.. Just tried the restore kitkat bios though that doesnt work... i launch it when im in fastboot mode.. though it says 'pushing files to launch in fastboot' though then it takes the tablet out of fastboot mode and takes me to that EFI Shell screen.. i tried to quickly reset it back to fastboot mode (which is where it wants to be) though the exe times out before i get there... going to try and just flash.xml from the ROMS you posted.. Why 2 ROMS btw?
flashing YT2-1050F_USR_S000198_1504220313_WW21_ROW (1) now..
So it seems to write the OSLOADER OK.
Writes and boots to DROIDBOOT OK.
Then fails to wipe ESP.
Then fails the partitioning. Then exits.
Is it possibly a hardware fault?
Same issue as i got on a different ROM.. Here are the logs.

Could this be related to the Lollipop BIOS? (not sure which bios im runnning).
Trying the other ROM now..
ROM YT2-1050F_USR_S100031_1506111400_WW52_ROW-(L) doesnt even get to DroidBoot... When it tries to make it to DroidBoot comes up with that EFI Shell command window again...
Let's start from the beginning.
Power off your tablet, then press volume down and hold it while powering on, this should take you to a screen with some information, you are looking for the IFWI line,it says something like Blade.............. what does it say x86 or x64,,this will tell us what BIOS you are on.
Then we will direct you to the correct ROM.
Thanks Corasman... though holding down volume down while powering just takes me to the EFI Shell... (same with holding vol up and holding nothing).. I can only boot to fastboot starting by both vol buttons..
btw i think your right i think it maybe related to incorrect bios version.. i did try to downgrade with 'restore-bios-kitkat v2' though the exe tries to move from fastboot to fastboot though ends up at EFI shell and craps out...
To be honest i dont care about root/unlocking bootloader/kitkat or lollipop or anything.. just want the device to work..
If the restore file will not take, then I'm sorry but I cannot think of anything else to try.
Possibly there is a restore one for Lollipop BIOS but I do not have that one.
bugger thanks for trying.. i wish i had the manual steps for reverting the BIOS.. can anyone advise which file is the bios? i assume you just flash with fastboot.. is it efilinux.efi?
If I remember right.(not promising)
Start fastboot on the tablet and connect to your computer, then navigate to the restore application(restore-kitkat-bios-830-1050-v2) on your computer, then double click the application and it should bring up a command prompt, then just follow onscreen instructions,
Once (hopefully)you have the Bios correct(Kitkat)use phoneflashtoollite to send the file with the ww21 (kitkat)at the end, also put the easyimage on an SD card as you will need to set your region code if you get that far.
Thanks mate - though using the exe does not work.. when i said manual steps i mean downgrading the bios without an exe - using individual script commands..
bump? can no one help good ol Sagey
You are a legend thank you so much for the help!
Hi,
my daughters tab just died.
She was watching a video and noticed a short vibration every now and then, but did not took care and just closed the cover when the movie was over. I woke up in the night from this shuffle vibrating and switched off the tab. I am not sure if I choosed shut down, or even just hold the power off button - sorry I was tired.
But now if I try to power on the tab it just shows "fastboot starting..." I tried several button combos like holding vol + or - while power on and also hold the power button for 10 seconds to switch it off. Sometimes a short error message appears, see attached. Tablet is recocnised in "minimal ADB and Fastboot" but "fastboot reboot" does nothing.
She is so sad - any chance to recover?
If it doesn't open the bootloader or the recovery you can use this tool
to recover it.
Hi,
no clue what to do.
restore-kitkat-bios-830-1050-v2.exe failed:
[PC] Prepairing to push files.
[PC] Failed on prepairing to push
so looks like kitkat bootloader is still there?
tried again to flash, but failed again. why does it say unknown command?

I'm not a developer, but I have some experience with this device.
Don't worry you will recover it if you able to enter the bootloader.
follow this guide and you will enable voice calls in it too:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/thi...mall-guide-flashing-yoga-tab-2-1050l-t3389292
* You must backup your IMEI before start flashing any rom I think you can do this by following this steps:
1) Enter TWRP Recovery.
2) From backup select this partitions: ESP-BOOT-RECOVERY-FASTBOOT-FACTORY-CONFIG and another again back up of ESP-FACTORY-CONFIG
Excuse my English
It does not work that way.
looks like there is something wrong with efilinux.efi or bootloader refusing partition command. flash seems to be ok partly, but its failing due to partitioning.
what else can I do?
read many hours stuff and tried many things and I know now why these oem commands not work - I evel fall back to DNX (fastboot) mode and there only a few flash and boot commands work, but not all the OEM flash commands. They will be available when droidboot.img will be loaded. But when I try to boot droidboot.img the efiliunx error occours again and tab falls into DNX mode agan.
tab is off
connecting to usb
Tab wakes up
starts booting
efi sign error
fells into DNX mode (fastboot)

so what can I do, I don´t know if Lolipopp was on the tablet or KK, but for sure there were OTA update messages that I ignored. so maybe there was an early Lolipoop on it or KK.
What will happen when I flash either Lolipopp BIOS or KK BIOS? is it worth a try?
I really don't know the problem, As I mention first I'm not a developer.
Don't try to flash bios.xml.
I tried this once and I wouldn't able to enter recovery or bootloader again.
you can try to flash the bios with this KK BIOS TOOL.
Also, try to use this guide it helped me a lot when I wasn't able to flash once.
Feel free to contact me ""
Another possible reason is the version of fastboot.exe in the Intel flash tool. You can try to replace it with the newer version such as this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979.
Also make sure the bios is still KK bios. You may need to save and run the KK BIOS tool in previous post in the root of your windows system drive(C.
didn´t help
restore KK BIOS aborts with prepairing to flash
Installed ADB 1.4.3 but this didn´t help either.
I tried nearly all firmware versions non is ablr to boot droidboot. will try now also different esp versions.
really strange
I messed up my yoga tablet for a few weeks there, I've just got it back to life. I stuck with just being able to get fastboot starting message, before that was like bios screen or something like on windows computer. Did the restore kk bios to get fastboot starting message but couldn't figure out what next. Couldn't find kitkat firmware with the flash xml file with it.
Any way just came across a site called needrom, downloaded the original firmware kitkat and tools/drivers 1.3gb file. Opened phone flash tool changed force sparsing too 500mb top left file/options/check mark force sparsing/500mb/save. Select flash.xml file and click start flash. I'm now a happy owner of a working kitkat yoga tablet.
Oops you cant flash kitkat bios so no use to you. Plus I can't update from kitkat for some reason so may not be of any use to you anyway.
Do you remeber which Version you downloaded? Tried so many, but none of them is able to load droidboot, without I am not able to flash further files.

I read someone manually flashed YT2-1050F_USR_S100031 followed the flash.xml and this post with little modification: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62236376&postcount=94
Hey, were you able to fix this issue cause I am having this exact issue ?
Hi,
Fixed it not yet but still on it. I openend the tablet and removed the Main Board. I will solder some wires to the bios chip an try to flash a bios with external biosflasher. But waiting for equipment atm.
Would like to know how this happened to you?
Are you sure that you have the same problem? my exact problem is that I can not boot droidboot, because efi check always fails.

Just read through the complete thread and actually, my problem is not exact as you.. I CAN actually flash roms and all and THEY do complete sucessfully. But still, It just KEEPS on going to fastboot... I even was able to boot it up by using: "fastboot boot boot.img", I do this cmd twice and then it for some reason just boots into safe mode and works normal except one thing I noticed... I found that the volume keeps on going down, and the volume up button doesn't work..
So this explains why it boots into fastboot in the first place.. the volume down button is somehow pressed, SO, I opened the tablet and actually literally removed out the board which has the power button, charger and the volume buttons, turned on the tablet and the problem still happened... So IDK how... Its really weird.. Hope you understand.
My Tab went back to life!!!
My Tab went back to life!!!
I opened the tab, soldered wires to the BIOS, bought cha31 usb flasher for 5€ and a logic pegel converter 1,8V for 5€ and just flashed the BIOS from YT2-1050L_S000225_150422_ROW. connected to the PC and prayed for fastboot starting to show. But instead the normal battery charging screen appeared. Powered on the Tablet and it booted as if never was something wrong with it! wtf!?!
So my problem right now it seems to be YT2-1050L_USR_S100255_160113 installed but BIOS is now flashed to KK version (dediprog.bin that is included in YT2-1050L_S000225_150422_ROW)! I wonder why it is able to boot and what should I do next?! I am afraid to switch it off hence last time I did - it got broken..
I have no good feeling in leave it in this status, but want to avoid to f%&k it up again. Will never solder that again!
find attached "about tablet" screen and an backup of the broken BIOS.
Hard Brick (QDL state) --> Back to life (essential support) & sensors not working
Hi everyone,
Hope you are doing well, here my little story :
My PH was dead (QDL state) after a bad flashing, thanks to essential support I could have back my phone working, but unfortunately sensors (auto rotation & compass) are not working.
Essential support recommend me to re flash the last build that would probably be the best shot at getting the phone back up and running.
I would like to have your process recommendation to minimize the risk of a second hard brick. What USB C cable & windows drivers I should have, and what flashing process will be the best to re-flash the latest stock build ?
Current build phone: QP1A.190711.148
baseband version : 2.0.c4-M2.0.10
Kernel: 4.4.19-perf+
Bootloader unlock " DEVICE STATE - unlocked" (but i do not know if the critical partition is unlock too)
If you recommend me to run some other test before flashing, let me know.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Most of what you're asking is on the Essential Developer site. As far as a cable goes, just make sure it's not the originally supplied C-C cable supplied by Essential. I use an A-C cable.
Ok thank you, just to be sure, in the process I do not need to "Run the command: fastboot flashing unlock" as my device seems unlock.
I have the following :
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Device modem EFS unlocked: false ???
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: true
I just make a test by running the flashall.bat and after more than 20 min I have the following state:

Hi !
How did you solve your hardbrick problem please ?
Thank you !
The key point is OPs device was bootloader unlocked prior to issues happening.
The common hard Rock issue most face is when the bootloader device is locked and an upgrade is borked. This is when the user is left with no recourse except get support from essential which is situational (send device back and get a replacement), if essential decides they want to help based on your circumstance.

That is the command that is within flash-all.sh for build adt3_gtv-stt1.211025.001.z3-factory-91f7efe7.
It was designed specifically to fix this particular issue/bug with the adt-3.

if ! [ $($(which ./fastboot) --version | grep "version" | cut -c18-23 | sed 's/\.//g' ) -ge 2802 ]; then
echo "fastboot too old; please download the latest version at https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html"

./adb reboot bootloader || true
if ! ./fastboot flashing unlock ; then
./fastboot oem 'setenv lock 10101000;save' || true
./fastboot reboot bootloader; sleep 3
./fastboot flashing unlock || true

./fastboot erase data
./fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-adt3_gtv-01.01.220621.133524.img
./fastboot reboot bootloader; sleep 3
./fastboot -w --skip-reboot update image-adt3_gtv-trb4.220715.005.zip
./fastboot reboot bootloader; sleep 3
./fastboot flashing lock
./fastboot reboot
But this time ... it is not working
Are you sure that your fastboot version/drivers are new/good?
Within a few days I will try to update mine, in order to see if there are any issues.
Are you familiar with worldcup burn mode?
Obtain worldcup drivers and command line "update" program for your OS.
Once worldcup drivers are installed, hold button, starting from before power is applied, until you have a worldcup usb connection. Then run these commands using the "update" program for worldcup;
update bulkcmd "setenv lock 10100000"
update bulkcmd "saveenv"
Then reboot and see if fastboot works.
./fastboot --version
fastboot version 33.0.3-8952118
Installed as /opt/platform-tools/fastboot
I just upgrade it b4 I do the Android TV 13 Beta 4.
Sorry ... I have no idea of "worldcup burn mode"
