Verizon s7 edge nougat service mode - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

Any one know hoe to get to the serviceode so that I can turn off the carrier aggregation? *#0011# dosent work

You will root or at least temp root to enable the hidden menu then all codes will work...

service menu
After getting into servicemode, do you know how to access the main menu in nougat? I tried "back" "Q" "back" "0000", but it doesn't work. I can't seem to find any information. Thank you.

Hi
did u have flashed to asian telco like indonesia or malaysia? please help me:laugh:
I'm still waiting on mine to arrive and i'll try to change the spc to zeros so flashing to any carrier be easier (ota programming) .. That's for the CDMA part... As for the gsm I'll have to wait and try..

Yea im not using it for CDMA also i just need it for GSM/UMTS since my country need only this..
any idea?
You can't put any other SIM than Sprint.
Only way you can use this phone now anywhere in the world is on CDMA network using PRL and NV. for now GSM is locked and Sprint also had no clue how to unlock.

I believe the CDMA workshop is the tool used to unlock the SIM card.
search for "Sprint Samsung galaxy s4 16 digit password"
it won't take you directly to what you want but it is related and should lead you there.

After you type the code press menu and then choose Back from the menu itself not the hardware back button.. Then menu again and choose input from the menu..

Galaxy s4 sprint unlock international gsm

Hello i'm in mexico and i have a galaxy s4 whit bad esn
i try to put a sim card (telcel) but only shows " not valid sim card''
i pres #*06# to obtain the imei and it show me the imei.
My question is. It's a hidden menu keys to press to access the unlock code?
I will apreciate if one of you have unlocked their sprint phone and tell me how. Thanks
If you have a bad ESN, I'm afraid Sprint will not give you the unlock code to use an international SIM. The code will have to come from Sprint....I think you're out of luck.

Thank you for contacting Sprint regarding unlocking your device. At this time, since you live outside of the United States and not a Sprint customer, we would be unable to assist with unlocking your Sprint phone. Sprint Policy requires:
1) the device be on an active Sprint Account
2) the account be at least 90 days old
3) the account not be delinquent
4) the account not be on an Account Spending Limit
Without meeting these requirements we could not unlock the device. The request is sent out Over the Air on the Sprint Network and that is why the device has to be on our network for us to assist.
Thank you,
Chris T.
Senior Specialist
Sprint Worldwide
Tues-Fri 2pm-11pm CST
Sat 12pm-9pm CST
Once the device is unlocked you wouldn't need to do anything with sprint any longer right?

I was have galaxy s4 from sprint and try the method s mentione but doesn't work the only solution for me was activated the phone on boost mobile network the galaxy s4 sprint has cdma and gsm GSM basebands can be use only if sprint unlock for international use
Can we try by Flashing Tmobile S4 M919 or AT&T S4 Firmware to Sprint Galaxy S4?
Has anyone try to Flash other GSM (Tmobile / AT&T) Galaxy S4 Stock Firmware into the Sprint Galaxy S4?
Maybe we can then try the FREE SIM Unlock Method.
Anyone care to comment if this is possible?
Thanks!
I'm living on Mexico too and tried method below, after the phone restarted I put a new sim card but no luck on activating, it just say "no sim card"
My phone is not a bad esn, any other ideas on how to check if it is really unlocked?

Did somebody try "CDMA tool" ? They say it is compatible with the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4. I can not do because I do not have the phone.
I work for sprint and they would not unlock my S4. That just shows how hard it is to get them to unlock

[Q] Cannot get to Service Mode menu

Hello
I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. I need unlock phone as I am moving in a few weeks and will need to use a new sim card. I have an unlock code but it is not working and I believe the reason is a while back a tried the free unlock method that has been online for a while and I was able to follow the steps fully (it didn't work to unlock my phone).
Now trying to follow the same steps again, I cannot where I enter *#0011#, choose back from the menu, then key input and enter 1. This used to bring me to the main menu but now it stays on the same page and does not change and I cannot access the main menu.
If somebody knows how to access the main menu a different way or fix this problem I would be very grateful :fingers-crossed:

Hi,
Thanks for this. I unchecked use recommended settings and picked Proxy Call Activity MAIN MENU: RilServiceModeApp (197328640) from the drop down list and then 'run with above settings choosed'
I took a screen shot of the list that opens but I'm not sure where to go from there.
These are the steps I was told to follow to fix the unlock but I can't get passed e.
Go to the Dial pad and dial *#0011#
b. Please click your MENU button (Bottom LEFT button) and click BACK on the menu that appears.
c. Please click your MENU button AGAIN and this time click KEY INPUT
d. When the Key input box appears please input the number "1" and hit OK
e. You will see a number 1 for a while, please wait until it changes into the SERVICE MENU
f. Please click [1] UMTS > [1] DEBUGGING SCREEN > [6] Phone Control > [6] Network LOCK
g. You will see 3 OPTIONS within Network LOCK
h. Please click on number [1] Perso Sha256 INFO, the screen will change slightly
i. Please hit the MENU button then when the menu pops up please carefully hit BACK to return to the previous screen
j. Next Please click on number [2] Perso Sha256 ON, the screen will change again to a one line message
k. Restart the phone on the screen by holding the power button and click RESTART

How to fix samsung s4 thats not accepting network unlock code after free unlock
So I finally got it working. So i'll post this in case it helps some else having this problem.
You need to flash an earlier version of the firmware to allow you to access the main menu in service mode
I went to this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39176955
and downloaded the odin v3.04 program and then the XXUAME2 modem from the list.
Then after installing odin I chose phone, chose the extracted .md5 file from my computer and connected my phone to the computer using the usb.
Turn the phone off then switch it on whilst simultaneously holding the volume down and home button and then use volume up to confirm.
Click start on odin and wait for a few mins until the box at the top changes to pass.
Follow the rest of the steps stated in the forum above
After the flash, follow the instructions in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=cY4LcdO2WAE
Restart the phone with a locked sim and try the unlock code now, it should work.

Greetings. I achieved my sgs4 unlock sgh-I337 in 4.4.2 but lowering the modem to mdl. but then again I had to flash the stock rom 4.4.2 to return the modem up. but I did going into safe mode with * # 0011 #
(1) *#0011# (found working on AT&T Galaxy S4)
(2)Now select [1] UMTS by tapping on it.
(3)When you get into the UMTS Main Menu, tap on [1] DEBUG SCREEN
(4)This will take you to Debug Screen menu where you have to select [6] PHONE CONTROL
(5)In the Phone Control menu, you will see an option called [6] NETWORK LOCK. Tap on it
(6)In the Network Lock screen, select [3] PERSO SHA256 OFF.
(7)On the next screen tap on SHA256_ENABLED_FLAG[1].
(8)Doing this will show the following message:
MENU NOT EXIST
PRESS BACK KEY
Current Command is 116631
(9)Now tap on the Menu button (left soft key on your phone) and select Back from the menu. (To go back, do not press the Back button of your device.) When you do this, you should see the following lines on the screen:
SHA256_ENABLED_FLAG[0]
SHA256_OFF => Not Change
(10)Ignore the above message and tap on the Menu button again and then select Back.

Phone unlock won't work

I followed this guide to unlock the phone
http://www.android.gs/sim-unlock-samsung-galaxy-s4-i9505-i9500/
1. You need to launch the Service Mode on your phone; in order to do that tap “*#0011#” in the dialer of your handset.
2. The Service Mode will be displayed; now you need to tap on “menu” (left soft key) and from the dropdown menu select “back”.
3. Press the Menu button once more and this time select “Key input”.
4.. Tap on the pop-up box that will be displayed; then enter “1” and tap on “ok”.
5. You now need to go back to the Service Mode menu; for that tap on “menu” and select “back”.
6. From the Service Mode menu, this time select “[1] UMTS”.
Click to collapse
At stage 6.... there is no menu that says UMTS
It just simply takes me back to the original menu with stuff like "GSM900: Limited" etc
It takes me back to the very first menu after I dialled “*#0011#”
So.... what do I do...??
The reason I'm trying to unlock the phone is that it said, "Network not registered".... It won't let me connect to an EE network at all... so I thought maybe the solution is to unlock the phone.
Thanks
Is the sim activated? Could the imei be blocked by the carrier? If you are not bring prompted to enter a network unlock code, the phone could already be unlocked.
You should be asked to enter unlock code before yu try to unlock it.

In order for the service menu method to work, you MUST downgrade your modem to an Android 4.2.2 version first. Only then will you be able to access the appropriate menus. We have an entire thread on the topic of SIM unlocking in the General section of the forum, and mention of the modem downgrade really doesn't start showing up until posts from November, 2014. That thread has also pretty much switched to using RegionLock Away to blow away the SIM lock, as it's a more robust solution than the service menu method.
Now, will it help you regarding the EE SIM? Probably not. But it will allow you to use a SIM from any carrier.
