Hi there guys, just wanted to know how do I get google services and play store on my Samsung Galaxy A9 pro? As for the A9000 it had a hong kong version too aside from the Chinese version which had a different firmware that one could flash and get the Google apps, but with the A9100 (Galaxy A9 pro) there is no other firmware other than Chinese. I have seen people talking about them having the play store installed and working somehow and also have seen a chinese video on YouTube showing the play store installed and working. So my question is can anyone tell me specifically for this mobile. I know I have to put the files manually in my system and change permissions but that somehow didn't work as I dont know which version of playstore to install and what else should be installed along with the play store apk to make it work for eg googe framework and play services.
The other Chinese phones (non-samsung) have a simple way to get play store back for eg Xiaomi devices. My phone is rooted so if anyone can hop in and help I'd really appreciate it
Just download a micro package of gapps (google for it,its easy to find) and place all files from the pack in the right folders of your system with right permissions,look in installer script for the right permissions.done.
Install a GAPPS package with Flashfire.
will installing the latest apk for Play Services and Play Store work in these scenarios?

Is there any advantage of getting the A9 Pro outside of China? I'm based in China, right next to Hong Kong.
A9 Pro is possible to get from Taobao for a nice ~2888 RMB ($430 in today's USD).
Not sure if A9 Pro is available in HK as I've read that the international version of A9 Pro has been launched on July 2nd or so. The only A9 Pro I've been able to find on HK price check (price.com.hk) is around $480 USD, so $50 more. And I can get the one in China with 2 clicks.

Samsung released the firmware for A9 Pro for the markets that have international model of the device. You can install that firmware on Chinese A9 Pro. It comes with all the Google apps. I suggest to check Sammobile.

I don't think that firmware from the international versions i.e A910f will work on A9100, and btw this thread is old I already have all the needed gapps installed and working
But would still love to somehow have that firmware on my phone.

I personally tried it 3 days ago and it didn't work. Soft bricked my phone.
The forum link you posted was for a different mobile as u said, but if you notice they are talking about different firmwares for the 'same model number'

Hmmm, thats crap. I wanted to buy it from China and upload that firmware:/ Are you just running on Chinese firmware? What's your experience with it?

Well go ahead as I'm really satisfied with it. Have all the gapps that I need. I would obviously prefer having an international version but if not, its not something to be bothered about..

I'm going to order it soon. Where did you get yours?
Are all the gapps working fine? All notifications coming through? Are there some things in Chinese?

I bought mine from another guy who happened to bring it from China two months ago. Everything is working like a charm as it should. 99% it is english but there are some stock apps where u may see some chinese but overall its totally english. The only prominent thing in chinese language that you'll see is going to be during booting up and thats it (not a biggie right) . Nothing to worry about. If you get yours and need any help in anything, feel free to hit me up

Cool, thanks for the offer I'm glad to hear most of it is in English. It's my perfect phone spec wise, i already ordered couple of screen protector and a case. Just waiting to be able to order the phone. I'll get back to you when i get it. BTW, did you just install gapps package?

It really is the best phone imo, and thats coming from someone who has always used flagship phones and have sold my S7 edge for this.

I just got the 16GB 3GB RAM variant from JB HiFi but just wondering in what ways I can update the system to the latest version. It seems slow and the security update is still on January.
Hope someone can help. Cheers

thank you kind sir. I shall try stock for a few weeks as, i haven't had a non custom android rom since froyo. and as this device is so new would love to see what everyone discovers. I hope my updating to motos latest push update wont affect my future rootability

If same as me (should be, in Australia as well), it's NPN25.137-67. I was on -15 beforehand. Had to check manually via Settings --> System updates as there was no automated notification, or at least not yet. Therefore if you're still on an older update i'd wait before installing anything manually - the official OTA can't be far away.

Yup, 137.67 as well. They have fixed my headset mic issue as Samsung AKG doesn't work

I got this phone 2 months ago. I was not getting any update and I asked the customer care. They said they have already released 5.8.022s version on may 2nd (mine is 5.8.021s). Please, can you tell me what is your current version if you are using stock ROM ?

The latest version for LEX727 is 5.8.021s. As leeco was sayin that they released 5.8.022s may be false. We never got any update after 021s for US model. For LEX720, it's 5.9.026s. Although, they both are same hardware and can be flash interchangeablity.
My bad, I thought 5.9.026s was also released for the US version.
Are there any issues with flashing Nd installing lex720 software in lex727? I am frustrated with battery drain caused by system service. Any good roms that works great?

You could try an update.zip, but if you've got the American model, you should be able to OTA update via the system settings.

Yeah it appears to be u.k model I thought online it said was an USA model thanks for letting me know. Phone is actually quiet good besides being on mm.
There is a way to update apparently you have to flash a Spanish version than a Russian version of noughat 7.1

EDIT: I can't find Spanish V1.0.0B12 firmware - so I can't follow the instructions ;-( ZTE site provides only B2017GV1.2.0B12 version (7.1 I guess), which I will try as well.

I did it! I am at work now, but later (in ~9-10 hours) I will write the instructions with the links to specific update files. I have updated the UK (carphone) 6.0 version to global (russian?) 7.1.1 .

Hi, from the picture I can see that this version has already been the latest version, and English version can not flash American version. Hope this help you.

This looks like the eu rom, not the global rom
I don't think there will be a global ROM, should have been released by now
I thought it was said that the global rom cannot be installed on the CN version. Am I missing anything? I'm waiting for bootloader unlock to settle for EU rom

global roms can be installed on cn devices only through 3rd party recovery and you should never relock it with global rom otherwise you will end up having a brick

dont take their word for it. the phone is being released in spain on March 14 and why doesnt the EU rom suffice for u? they update it every weekend? I personally would love if a pixel experience or something is released for this phone. Im not a fan of MIUI though its not half bad
