[REQ] original Roms for XT720

Buddies,
can anyone upload the original roms for Milestone XT720? (SG, Kr, and other)
So we can do more testing worry free. If anything goes wrong, we can just flash it back to original. It would be nicer if someone can also show how to flash the rom.

Here's how I successfully flashed it back to stock using Windows 7 32bit (dense text ahead):
1) Search somewhere along the lines of "RSDLite - download here" on google
2) Go inside first link, download the file that's named somewhere along the lines of "RSDLite_4.5.3.zip"
3) Install it.
4) Go to http://and-developers.com/sbf:xt720
5) Download the 2nd Full Flash rom, the one where the provider is "Southeast Asia"
6) Unzip that file, you now have a .sbf folder (not file)
7) Put that .sbf folder in C:\Users\Admin\My Documents
8) Shut down phone, take out battery
9) Hold Power + Volume Down + Camera buttons all at once
10) Put in the battery while holding those buttons
11) Phone is now in bootloader mode (screen looks like a command prompt)
12) Release the buttons, and plug USB to computer and phone
13) Open RSD Lite, your phone should be detected as connected (Device name was like "S OMAP 3440" or some BS like that)
14) Click "..." to browse for the .sbf file in C:\Users\Admin\My Documents
15) In RSD Lite, click to highlight your connected XT720, and then click "Start". The first column beside the connected phone should now have a green icon thing, and the ROM is being flashed.
16) DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE, THE CABLE, OR THE COMPUTER! (I went and took a dump)
17) When the "Status" column in RSD Lite says "Please manually power up this phone", so shut it down and power it again. Note: The status stays in "Checksum Group 37" for a verrrrryyyy long time before saying "Rebooting". I thought it got stuck there, but it ended up ok.
18) Your XT720 is now reflashed to stock.
19) You can now close RSD Lite. It will complain saying you will damage the attached device, but I pulled it out wayyyy before this (I unhooked it when it told me to reboot manually) and my XT720 is not dead. You may choose to close RSD Lite before unhooking your XT720.
20) Post your results in this thread and confirm or reject my procedure.

I agree on this, i need a EU rom.

i am using an SG xt720. is there anyway to dump the rom?
@mariomsg1, i remember u have reflashed ur rom once before right? may i know where did u get the sg starhub rom last time? could u share it please. thanks

there latest ROM is STR_U2_01.18.2
mine is STR_U2_02.18.3 (bought unlocked retail version from expansys europe)
anybody got same unrooted ROM? Mine has problems, I am stuck with ROOT which stopped working after couple of days, and now I can neither un-root, nor root again.

U can flash with RSDlite. just need a sbf file.

Sorry, can i know how to put the phone into bootloader mode? I cant not find in google and this forum for xt720.

can not go to boot loader. Already press power and volume button

first you need to switch off the phone, then press camera button and power and keep those pressed until recovery icon appears. THEN press volume up and power, if I remember this correctly.

press play button and power, then press volume up and camera button

play button = small button next to the camera shutter

When i do the guide, phone at first go to recovery mode, and nothing happen. RSD lite can not recognize the phone. I use recovery mode to wipe cache and data like it said factory reset. Then i get stuck. Phone can not start up, stand at motorola logo.
I still can go to recovery mode, but not boot loader mode. And it appear error in recovery mode: E:\ can't open /cache/recovery/command. Now how can i repair my phone?

Sorry i cannot put the phone to bootloader mode. It get stuck at recovery mode when i press vol up and camera. And computer did not regconize the phone also. I guess that i still missed the way to go to boot loader. Can you please do a step by step guide? What kind of windows you use?

go to flashing mode directly by pressing volume up+camera button+power button. after that just flash the sbf in provided the windows can see ur phone. make sure u also install the required driver

any one have a solution ?

i have install mod clock recovery to my phone
& it is ok but when i try with nofills
the phone restart & keep on the logo i try hardrest but it is fail
now i can enter the normal recovery
no official rom here ? and how can i flash it ?
or any easy solution ?

download a stock rom, enter bootloader mode by pressing up-button and power while turning on the phone, connect it to your pc (make sure you have RSD Lite on your pc) and flash... your flipout will look like new

sir,
rsd lite is not detecting my phone.
i've bricked my phone by overclocking,
now when i start my phone it boots up to m logo only.
and i can still open my bootloader by holding X and power button,but this is not detected by RSD lite

Hey Sunil!
It is Up Arrow key on d-pad and powerup key, it should take you to a black screen with white characters.
Try RSD 5.6 and be patient.

The X takes you to recovery and up arrow key to the bootloader

Huawei P8 black screen , no ADB no recovery

Please help me , I updated my Huawei P8 gra-ul00 but using firmware from ( gra-ul21 ) and now it is totally OFF , even when I connect it to charger no led will be turn on , and when I connect it to PC I hear beep in my PC but the phone is OFF and no response!
Note: I tried Power button + volume buttons multiple times but no success ! :/

Test by pressing the volume down button and connect it to the pc, it will enter fastboot mode and you will be able to flash boot, system, cust and recovery and recover your device

Thanks for your reply lespaul79 , but you mean only pressing Volume Down ? I tried and nothing happen the screen still Black and after applying any fastboot command it shown " Waiting for the device " message ! .
Any other suggestion ?

Press volume down without releasing connect to pc, do not release volume down until bootloader mode appears on the screen

Huawei P9 Lite Bricked

Hello everyone. Huawei P9 Lite 2016. It doesn't go into Recovery, nor eRecovery and Fastboot also does not load, in general, not one combination of buttons does not work. I think the system is removed, what should I do? How do I achieve something myself?

Well, if your phone is unable to go into fastboot (hold volume- and plug it into a computer), I have some very bad news for you... What did you do??

Nothing at all.. It had very strong lags, I couldn't make anything, I restarted it delaying the power button for 10 seconds and so several times, and then made through the buttons hard reset, performed successfully, already turned on but still had so strong lags and now it isn't react at all, just a black screen and the red indicator is constantly on. I think that simply the system has been deleted and it is necessary to write down again, but how, the combination of buttons doesn't work at all

install Hisuite, then click on recover phone, it will aks you to connect with vol - and power button, you are now in rescue mode, you can flash recover via fastboot

Yes, but the sense of that? It's necessary to work with buttons and not one combination of buttons doesn't work. Hisuite asks me to click on the power button and on the volume down button but nothing happens it doesn't go in Fastboot mode or in Recovery nor in eRecovery.

Yes. It makes nothing. Black screen and red indicator always.

Do you still have warranty on it? If you did not even unlock bootloader, then try to send it in for a warranty repair. Something on the motherboard must have gone bad..

Note 8 with boot loop and no access to bootloader

Hi, big problem with my note.
Unlocked with custom rom today starts going in bootloop with warning screen about this is not the original rom. So I shut down the phone and after a bit I connect it to the power ac and the phone starts to boot loop with logo honor heavenly background. I cannot enter in bootloader pressing the right buttons.
Is it bricked? There's anything I can do? Please help me and sorry for my english.

you can try to enter erecovery and let it install the latest version of stockrom.
to do this, connect your device to your computer with usb, then hold powerbutton as long as it needs to restart, then keep holding "vol+" until on the screen "your device has been blablabla not trusted" and the message shows up "your device is booting now..." - wait a while and you land in the Huawei eRecovery, where you can "Download latest version and recovery" ... do that
perhaps it is needed a second time after that for doing a factory reset in the same menu

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately no succes. But I notice that if I press "vol -" it stops to boot loop and the screen is black. If I release the button restart flashing.

perhaps you have a chance if you create a 'dload'-folder on your sdcard and therein copy this file (for example): http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G3130/g1699/v168765/f1/full/update.zip (i have it from the topmost entry from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=EDI-AL10&firmware_page=0 -> click on 'filelist')
After that, connect your device with usb on the computer, restart and keep holding vol+ and vol-
keep us updated
