I have a S7 Edge 935F with Android 7 DBT.
There is something, that disturb me very much and make life with the S7 not easier.
(Also on some other Samsung Handy’s)
The time out issue !!!
Samsung call it “something that don´t impress us”, I call it “a big, bad Bug!!!”
When I don´t work with the S7 and its not Loading, after a while synchronization for Mails stops.
With Samsung Mail or other Mail Apps, it’s not important.
I have to restart the App for synchronization.
I hope you know what I mean !
Is there anyone who build an Fix or an App that kill the Bug ?

When I send SMS's to my girl friend's iPhone, she receives some of them as empty. If I resend that one again and again, it is empty forever. Does anyone know the reason for this? Is there any correlation with Samsung emojis? Because I often use emojis.
Also, I have another problem.
Does all the Samsung mobile phones have the 160 characters limit on their default messaging app? My Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F), runs on Lollipop and I am also having this issue. Is there a way to avoid this limit without rooting?
Has the schedule an email option been removed or is it me who can't find it in email client?!
Here is how it works on my Note 3
Go to ‘Emails’
Enter the email address you want to send to and compose the message in the normal way
Tap the ‘Expand Menu’ icon
Tap ‘Schedule Sending’
Set the time you want the message to send
Set the date you want the message to send
Tap ‘Done’
I really need this great feature that I have been using a lot. Is there any other email clients that has it? I don't like K-9 Mail. Thanks in advance.
I miss this feature too, coming from Note4.
Seems the new mail app does not have it, in the message app it's still there!
What the hell, Samsung?! I relied on this simple email scheduling feature in the native email client on my Galaxy S3, S4, & S5. First they eliminated the micro sd card slot and removable battery (grrr!) And now I can't find this useful feature. I had liked my previous galaxies so much, each one better than the last, that I didn't bother to do much research before upgrading to the S6. I feel like Samsung has betrayed its loyal customer base in hopes of attracting a share of Apple's devotees. Dumb move!
My thought exactly. They are going in the wrong direction. Only good thing is the "premium" quality instead of the old Samsung plastic.
Why Samsung why???
Why did u remove this amazing feature Samsung..
.why?
has anyone found a way to get back the schedule send email later and schedule send text later options I had on my S5 that my $850 S8+ doesn't have?
S8+ here too and I'm disappointed that they haven't brought back that useful function. I tried moving the apk file from S5 and other roms with no success. We need someone with experience to help us out. I would even pay for a working stock email apk with schedule function.
Boomerang app has schedule send, so far so good.

im still waiting for the answer from 2015
Hey everyone!
I bought a Samsung S8 two days ago and there is one thing that bothers me A LOT. I spent a lot of time on my computer working, so I usually open my e-mails, Facebook and Twitter messages on it. However, after opening those messages, I want notifications to go away on my phone, but it's not happening.
This worked perfectly on my S6, but S8 is really annoying and I am not sure how to fix it. Anyone?
Another question: Any way to turn off heads-up notifications? They are killing me.
Anyone?
Anyone have any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this issue -
Have Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Verizon. Was using Android Messenger by Google as my SMS app. About three weeks ago, my wife's texts from her Samsung Galaxy S7 on Verizon (also generated by Android Messenger) started coming in under the name "Anonymous" instead of her contact info and I could not text her (either as a reply or a new message). After some troubleshooting, we both switched to the default Samsung texting app and I can, usually, text her. However, sometimes, I get "Error 5: Other Network Error" when texting her. By waiting a while the message will go through. Android Messenger (which I keep trying to switch to) refuses to send messages to her - via the phone or Android Messenger for Web.
I can't find any discussion that this is a known issue for Android Messenger. I can't find any settings on either phone or Verizon online that says that there's some issue. Does anyone have any thoughts?
hey i had the same problem.
what i had to do was disable the samsung messaging app before setting the Android messenger app to default.

Weird. Well, it won't let me do that for some reason, but I did learn that I was behind on OTA updates by about 2 months. After doing both Aug. and Sept., it works. Not sure why. Guess we can mark this as solved.
Hi
I am getting really frustrated, as I am not receiving any FCM Push messages in my own app on my s8+, either its runnning or in background.
I have switched off battery opt for all apps and tried all solutions for this problem when searched for (disable Google App, disable battery opt, allow notifications, ....). App has all access and notification rights.
My app should only display this push notification, nothing fancy.
My wife has a S7 with Android 8.0.0 the same version as on my S8+.
The strange thing, the S7 gets every message immediately with no problem, only my S8+ doesnt display anything.
Also GMail notfication is extremly delayed as are all push messages.
I am really out of ideas.
I made a factory reset and that didnt help either.
Summary:
S8+ Android 8.0.0: no FCM from own app, push messages delayed on other apps
S7 Android 8.0.0: FCM shown istantly without any delay, push messages on other apps normal
Does anybody have another idea?
Would a custom rom help? I am now at a point where I wouldn't care losing warranty by installing a custom rom, if the Push messages would work!
thanks for your help
regards
Erich
