Followed instructions to install TWRP, but data wouldn't format.
So I tried formatting Data to exFAT now the phone won't boot AT ALL, not even to TWRP (tried re-flashing TWRP, didn't work).
Any help? :/
**EDIT**
FIXED IT BY FLASHING MARSHMALLOW FIRMWARE
BUT now how do I root it? Flashing UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip does not help the phone to boot

I flashed the latest 4.2.2 factory image from google. but it wont boot. stuck at ''X'' boot animation. I can access bootloader. I have tried several times but no luck. it still stucks at boot logo. then i flashed team win recovery and tried to install a custom rom(xenon hd stable 6.0) by pushing rom files by adb. But unfortunately recovery cant factory reset or wipe the cache. it fails. and even it fails to flash the custom rom zip file. Now i have fallen in a completely stupid situation. Please somebody help. Before flashing i was in xylon rom with twrp recovery. Before that i had cwm recovery. But I thought flashing factory image will completely wipe everything. But I cant figure out why it is happening. Please help.
I figured out something ! I have flashed CWM 6.0.23 recovery now. and it says it cant mount anything. I think there is the problem. What can i DO ppl?
Flash the stock recovery and clear cache.
Solved
Solved !!
At first I tried all types of ''mounting sd card'' process in adb. none worked.
Finally
in CWM recovery > Mounts and storage > format /data and /data/media (/sdcard) [ not to be confused with the full ''format /sdcard'' option ]
and it worked. Thanks BTW
So, my Nexus 7 is stock rooted, running TWRP, M-Kernel and data-f2fs. I flashed CM12 with MultiROM and tried to boot it, however it didn't boot, just stayed at the Google screen. I tried to boot both regular TWRP & MultiROM TWRP, & It didn't boot either. I fastboot flashed stock recovery, cwm, and stock kernel. All of them booted fine, except the stock kernel, which didnt boot cause data was f2fs. Eventually, I just tried flashed M-Kernel again in cwm with adb sideload & It didn't work. So, I manually edited the M-Kernel boot.img on my PC for data-f2fs, since the one in the zip is all-f2fs, and flashed it & TWRP with fastboot. Both Android & TWRP finally booted! However, my data partition is corrupted. Android wants a password to decrypt, and TWRP detects it as ext4. How do I fix my data partition without formatting it?
Nvm, I'll just fastboot format data.
I have my internal storage formatted as f2fs and I flashed phenix os and after that it won't go past the bootlogo. Tried to boot to recovery but it just boots to the bootlogo again. How do I fix this?
EDIT: had to flash the factory imag and lost all the data I had on the tablet, don't know why it would make the tablet soft bricked by flashing a ROM.

Click to collapse
Phoenix OS does not support f2fs (at least in the newer versions). Also formatting to f2fs would make you lose your data anyway.
ROM Before Flashing StockAC Rom
Tried to Flash Stock ROM multiple times after first bootloop
Tried wiping data/cache factory reset.
Also Tried wiping using TWRP.
But still stuck in bootloop
Should i flash PAC Rom through TWRP before flashing Stock Rom through Odin?
Help will be appreciated. Thanks
Status Update.
I managed to boot but i am greeted with
"Storage Damaged"
The data partition has been corrupted. You need to reset your device to factory defaults. This will erase all your data
/data is also set to exFAT should i convert it into ext4?
Do we have guides such as this?

Would really help me out if someone could help me with my problme
Did You wiped the system partition before flashing?
If not do it first
Hey guys, this all started when I tried to lock my bootloader to do the oreo update... Long story short, I'm left with an empty system partition and when I boot into TWRP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...overy-twrp-3-2-1-0-oreo-oxygenos-5-0-t3725723), all I see is a bunch of gibberish file names. I've tried wiping data and rebooting into TWRP (I heard that wiping the data partition will decrypt your storage), but that doesn't work. I've also tried to adb sideload oxygenOS 4.5.14 using both TWRP and the stock recovery-- On TWRP I get the error "cannot read [filename]", and on the stock recovery, my PC doesn't recognize my phone. Is there any solution to this?
Flash with OTG?
PS: Formatting removes encryption.
I also got the same problem as u, what i did is install the twrp 3.2.1 by codeworkx, then factory reset via the twrp menu, then sideload the oos ob3, and install the zip file. And it should work perfectly
