Do you suggest to update the Nexus 6P to latest M build?
I ask this because I've read in another thread that there's an issue with the background color (washed black) in video playback.
Google has just shipped my phone and I'm wondering if I should update to latest release once I receive my phone.

The background color issue has been on my phone even before the latest update. So, yes go ahead and go the update. It is supposed to fix some issues with Wifi, but I have personally not seen any improvements after the latest update. My Wifi still eats battery like a Pig (Even after scanning turned off, like others suggested)
Always update to the latest and greatest!
I just got android wear 2.0 on my Huawei watch and noticed I have only English as language and more, when I check the weather I get Fahrenheit and not Celsius as is set in configs... any chance to change this?

On my 2nd Generation Moto 360, there's only US and UK-English available, but it listens to me in German quiet well. I've tested it with sending a WhatsApp message and it worked like a charm.
Kind regards from near of Nuremberg, Germany

Same problem, i can't chose another language as UK english
Any idea if this is possible? Does anyone have the APK?
Thanks

Removing the Hisense-specific Android TV check

Yes. Please see below:
This special version of FOX Sports allows streaming of the World Cup in 4K, exclusive to the 2018 Hisense USA H9E Plus range based around the MediaTek MT5597 running Android TV 8.0 Oreo, as discussed at https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/06/12/hisense-h9-plus-4k-tvs-android-tv-now-available
As described at https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/8qltha , this unedited APK was pulled by /u/whatpens from their brand new retail TV.
However, /u/Ogreentech21 's LeEco Android TV returns the error, "You are not allowed to view this resource" and it also doesn't work on /u/suyo123 's NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV, nor (perhaps understandably) on /u/alanzeino 's Amazon Fire TV 4K.
Can any XDA-Developers users remove the device check? I have also submitted the APK to APKMirror to see if anyone there possesses this ability.
Thank you all for your help.

Sorry. Never mind.
I got it working and put together a guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/...o_get_fox_sports_world_cup_4k_apk_working_on/
Do you guys know if the app only works on the Hisense H8E model? And not the H8 model?
Most of the articles I read about the World Cup edition app mention that it works on the H6E and H8E model, but no mention of the H8 model. But just looking at what you changed on the APK to make it work, it seems like the H8 should be able to install the WC app and stream in 4k, correct?
Granted both models are the same price, but the H8 model is available today at a store near me, the H8E will have to be ordered.. and the World Cup won't wait a week for the TV to get here!!
Thanks in advance.
Anyway to get this working on Sony 900e?
It would a charm if it was possible to modify the apk so that the check is bypassed completely. While rooting nvidia shield might be an option, for most android TVs it isn't so easy.
Anyone have a solution yet? Trying to watch on my Sony TV in 4k....regular Fox Sports go app is terrible

I’m using the regular app but what’s the point of having a super car without the speed?! Want to see what 4K can do.
pulled this from reddit, Confirmed works on stock Sony Android tv (no rooting)

Works on my X750D. I used ES File Explorer to upload the app to my TV and installed it through the ES File Explorer app on the TV.
Watching Mexico vs Korea right now.
I can install the app just can't play the content.

No. Somewhat choppy for me. And audio is half a second slow. But I’m addicted to the sharpness and clarity so I’m watching it anyway.
I read it’s becuase it’s shot in European 50hz and in the us we have 60hz. Tried adjusting motion settings but nothing works.
To stop stuttering, in the app goto video and select a specific speed and resolution. Setting to Auto will cause stuttering. I have mine set to 4k (~19mbps) and it does not stutter.

https://www.sammobile.com/apk/samsung-game-tuner/samsung-game-tuner-3-3-11/
Is there a way to make it work on the Note 9?
Setting app specific resolutions was so great!
Putting 90% of apps in 1080p except mostly YouTube and video apps to 1440p, was just fantastic...
Now am stuck at 1080p everything, because it really saves some battery.
And no... manually changing resolution all the time is not an option for me.
Rooting isn't an option for me either
Do you really see a difference in battery life? I can't figure out if it makes such a difference, and other threads I read didn't see much... So I'm always maxed out because why not

yeah dont know the how to work the old version, it is trying to get me to update and wont let me open the app without updating! would like to know a work around as well
Would need to revert to GAMEOPTIMIZINGSERVICE Version: 1.3.01.4
But My Note 9 came already with 1.4.02.2 - can't overwrite with old one or uninstall without root...
...at least I don't know how
They removed game tuner from pie. Did anyone find a solution? Is it possible to roll back game optimizing service with adb?
You don't need game tuner, since those options are now integrated in Game Launcher...View attachment 4708130

But what if, like me i dont want to use game launcher i just want the game tuner on its own.
So this is an old topic but did anyone find any solution? I tried reverting the game optimizing service with adb without succes.
install gos 1.2.12.4 and game tuner 3.3.03 work for me
Just wanted to start a discussion on people's thoughts on performance, battery life and if anyone is experiencing any issues on the final release of Android 10 for the pixel 2 xl.
So far so good for me.
I love the new gestures. Other than that, it's about the same (speed, battery)
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
I don't like the back gesture very much, but I think I'll get used to it. Everything is ok, up to now...
Everything seems super fine here.

I was on Beta 5 and reverted back to stock by simply opting out of the beta. I feel like when I reverted, it didn't do it cleanly since I still see residual effects like the version number shows in my notification shade. Also, I no longer have access to the Netflix app, says it's incompatible with my device. Other than doing a factory reset, is there a way to "repair" the phone without losing data again?

You can get rid of the build number in the shade by turning off developer options. Not sure what's up with Netflix though mine works fine p2xl

For netflix, download this version :
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/netflix/netflix-6-26-1-build-15-31696-release/
OMG that worked! I tried other apks before deciding to factory reset and it still didn't work. You're a life saver. How'd you know the version would work?
Does anyone know how to disable the assistant hints? They are driving me crazy.
It's nice, but unpolished...you can tell they rushed the build. Clean install mind you. Phone has rebooted twice, once installing an app. Another just because? Screen can still be interacted with even after swiping up and touching above it. Very noticeable in photos app once clicked on photo and slide up using gestures, it'll move. Battery was very good on beta 5 bit went down hill after that and persisted on the latest build, I very easily hit 9h sot on Pie, I struggle to hit 7 with doing less stuff even. Something that I reported on the betas and still persisted to stable. occasionally I will get an app that goes dark. When i switch it goes back to higher brightness and dark again (happened without auto brightness) a reboot fixed it. Has happened once on official and twice on betas.
There's a few others but I will update as I remember...
This is all bootloader locked. No mods, and no apps that mess with system.

I just select the "only allow when app in use" from the menu. Eventually, you won't have anymore :good:
