As the title says... But has anyone experienced this problem?? Phone was never dropped/damaged in any way. Found this rather annoying! Luckily there are ways around the problem, it's just kind of a bummer!
all of them?

Has anyone else experienced this? I tried a soft reset, then a hard reset, then I re-applied the ROM but the darn thing doesn't get past the screen calibration because it's not responding to screen taps.

Well, my previous Hermes did that when it became hot. You can try the various tips for the Screen Alignment problem - I think your problem may have the same cause as the SA problem many people had.
I had mine exchanged.

Hi,
Does anyone know why my screen just suddenly goes white?
It started when i heard someone called me. I looked at the screen and it was totally white. Pressing buttons didn't do anything. I tried soft + hard reset but the fone was still like that.
Has anyone got this problem before?

i haven't had the problem but it would be helpful if we knew what kind of a phone and rom you have
my fone is cingular 8525, and I have no idea what kinda rom I have. I only unlocked it with the software available here, and still haven't had time to play with other stuff yet.
oh, and i don't think the front buttons work, btw, so when i said i hard reseted it, i was wrong.
it also seems like this problem:

Don't you think? Now I'll have to buy some tools to open this baby up. Does anyone know where I can get the right tools?
It's always best to start at the beginning. Go HERE to a page that I created for new members that has links to EVERYTHING you may need to know about fixing your phone, flashing ROMS and Radios, etc.
Best wishes,
I just fixed it i just fixed it ). I don't think the light sensor for the keyboard work anymore thou, but screw that, the phone works ).
BIG BIG THANKS to "ALKIZMO" and his post:

The touch screen alignment on my Diamond occasionally gets misaligned and inadvertently aligns itself without warning. When I tap in one place, it registers in another. It is a really big nuisance especially in circumstances where I need to quickly input data into the PPC.
I was hoping that somebody had a solution for this?

have u tried realign???
I had that problem on my 2nd Diamond. Tried different version of ROMs but the problem still there, so I returned it and get a new one. My first one had a problem of self-restarting. Finally, now I'm happy my third Diamond
So ask if you can get a replacement, otherwise send it for repair.
Probably worth mentioning. I had a similar problem and it was driving me mad.
I was about to return the device for service, then I discovered it was a result of installing the GSen screen rotation program. I'd installed it to try it a few weeks ago and forgotten about it.
It turned out it that was switching the digitiser orientation without rotating the screen.
Uninstalled GSen and it's all fine now.
I'm hoping that uninstalling GSen will do the trick. Will give it a try tonight.
GSen was uninstalled and the problem still exists. Does anyone know if there is a firmware upgrade that handles this problem?
Have the same problem...
The touchscreen decalibrates itself.
2 minutes after calibrating it changes everything again. And just randomly.
Seems to be a hardware mistake, because even a hard reset didn't bring any help.
Anybody a solution?
Greetz
Hi, I tried searching this tread but not sure what they are called.
If anyone knows how to fix the 5 on screen (home, menu, scroll, back genuis) on this phone? They just stopped working Factory reset did not work, along with removing the battery, not sure if an app did this, any ideas before I try and argue with t mo? Lol

On-screen buttons? The Slide has hardware buttons. Do you mean those?
To me, it sounds like a hardware issue if factory reset didn't help.
Yes, I went in recovery and it said. Touch panel fail, so I gota replacement lol
Has anyone encountered this annoying touchscreen problem? It simply stops responding at times at specific locations on the screen. But it's really hard to reproduce the error at will. Is this a hardware problem or a software one? I am on rooted stock rom.

Me too bro but its not a big problem as such its like sticky keys in windows. Like the same key presses are avoided.
Try reflashing the stock firmware. It could be a hardware problem, so if reflashing stock firmware doesn't help, try service center
Cheers,
AJ

Me too, but my phone's touch screen goes wrong if I press 3 point at once. Not at specific location. The only cure I know is reboot. If i have spare time, i'll contact lenovo service centre
