Hi, is there any possible way I can convert a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (SM-G928T) from T-Mobile to any International variant ? (SM-G928F/C/G/I) I read that on HTC One devices one could simply change the CID and MID to be able to install different ROMs and firmwares from other HTC One variants without any issues or missing features.
Is there any possible way to change the variant on S6 EDGE PLUS ?
P.S. I can still flash and use International roms on my T-Mobile . But I cannot use the most essential feature i.e. call audio and without call audio my phone is pretty much useless. And there is no fix for call audio on nougat for T-Mobile variant . All I can do is use Khongloi's Roms . I want to try new different roms . Is it possible not to lose call audio and use international roms ?
Watching this, I have a G928T having the same issue with call audio of course using it on ATT though
If u want use other rom not khongloi's rom, u can use his kernel. It's OK!

That breaks some other features like bluetooth and WiFi and the build prop tweak doesnt work on any rom except noble nougat

Basically what the title says. The reason Im asking is because there are next to no good roms (except for the MOAR rom and AOSP roms like Cyanogenmod) for this variant, and the worst part is that there arent an s6 roms for it either, which iswhat i have been interested in. If I flash an s6 rom (say the Maverick 4.5 one for example) it will boot and everything will function, except for data (somethimes that may work) and sms and mms. Calling works fine though. I know the reason is that it is based off a firmware from another carrier like Tmobile or AT&T. But since the hardware is just so alike from carrier to carrier model (except the exynos versions) is there a way to edit the rom zip file (extract it, edit/add/delete some files, zip it back up and flash it) so that it will work correctly with sprint. If so, would anyone know which files?

Not sure if it works, has anyone tried moving the two files from your stock ROM namely
i) /system/lib64/libsec-ril.so
ii)/system/lib64/libsec-ril-dsds.so (if available)
to any of custom ROM? It works for me with most of the custom ROMs here in xda. My phone is SM-G9287C which is dual sim and most of the custom ROMs here don't officially support the dual sim phone.
If sim/data signal still not appearing, get a supported kernel or write this line without the quote in your build.prop (after performing the above methods) "rild.libpath2=/system/lib64/libsec-ril-dsds.so", then restart your phone.
If you wanna try this, please do it at your own risk, I bear no responsibility for whatever to your phone.
not sure if anyone has tried any of that. I wouldnt know how to do that lol. also no kernel as far as I know for our model that will work

My phone is dual sim G9287C. I believe that file has something to do with secondary sim feature.

reliance jio in kerala.
im having electron teams custom rom..
thinking of trying stock rom for volte option.
my phone is xsg csc too..
only us seems to have that option( not the 910c variant)
reluctant to flash coz i dont want to start from scratch with data cleaning..

Did to tried Jiojoin app?...I am using Stock rom but direct volte is not available...by using jio join app fir calling.....

yes but jiojoin only works sometimes and call quality isnt that good.. sounds just like voip, with speechlag

Ketans rom is for N910G(snapdragon variant of the phone)
We on the other hand is stuck with N910C(exynos variant of the phone)
even though i read that the hardware supports VoLTE, cant find any rom with VoLTE version

I also have a UAE csc Note 4 SM-910C . It shows 4G but the LTE sign never shows up only 4G appear and have to use the JioJoin App which has a reliability of sadly 50% only. If any solutions please respond.

nothing yet, jio4gvoice is the only way out for now.. btw 4g is lte and seeing either of the signs is fine. the thing is we need VoLTE sign to get calling working without use of jio4gvoice app.

It seems samsung has some sort of propiertary software to get VoLTE/VoWifi working on the galaxy s7 edge.
Im on stock software at the moment and havent rooted my phone.
Is there any roms available, based on android 10 or 11 that support VoLTE/VoWifi ?
I do not get a phone signal from any network where i live and i rely on this.
If i cant use it with the upgrades then they are out of the question really

On the original android 8.0 or 9.0 Pie NFE 2.2 it is possible to run Volte and Vowifi, but you need to have root and more importantly you need to know the network operator settings for these functions
Assuming your phone service company supports it for S7 edge, the least invasive way is to odin flash a firmware that supports it. No root needed but will need a bit of research. Pretty sure XSA latest version supports those features (Its a pretty clean CSC).
essentially you need:
1 - a ROM that supports it (Keeping in mind that ports and AOSP can complicate this)
2- a CSC that supports it
3 - a phone service provider that supports it in the S7 Edge (Keeping in mind that ports and AOSP can complicate this)

I own a Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro 2017, Model SM-J530F, which I bought from UAE. The specs on the box shows it as a 4G LTE device. I am quite confirm it does not have VOLTE in the settings. Now that I am using it in INDIA with Reliance JIo services, I badly need VOLTE functionality on this phone to make it possible to make & receive calls. Is there any way to add VOLTE functionality to it ? Any solutions from our developers ? Please don't ask for flashing a custom rom!

( Though I can install JioCare app & use it but the app is not available on Wifi, works only on Jio LTE ( Jio Mobile Data ) & forces to keep the wifi turned off permanently for the functionality. Actually Jio provides 4G VOLTE only connection & it is not backward compatible with a 4G LTE only device. For that Jio uses VOLTE layer from within their JioCare app to support a 4G LTE device )

In situations like this I would recommend flashing the INS version of stock firmware but since it doesn't exist for this model, I honestly think your only option is to root and edit the CSC features file yourself which can be annoying and quite honestly very long process.
You could also attempt to just flash another region and hope that it has VoLTE included. I don't know if this would even work though.
