Is there a way to operate the second SIM ? Because why they are two SIM slot and just one working ?!
Please help me.
If you have a dual SIM model, just insert a SIM and go... there is nothing special you need to do.

Do you have two IMEI numbers? Dial *#06#, and if you have 2 IMEI numbers it should work, if it only has one IMEI it cannot be activated even if your phone is an XT1572 with dual SIM hardware.

How can you have two simultaneously active SIMs with a single IMEI?!?! That doesn't even make sense...
The point is there are a few threads here about people trying to activate dual SIMs on the XT1572/XT1575 Single SIM models, some of them even have the hardware to do it and some do not, the firmware, radios, and other pieces needed to make dual SIMs work are only available on XT1572 Dual SIM models (India) the XT1570 Chinese version of the X Style. Due to part of the necessary information needed to use dual SIMs being in a protected area of storage. Several people have tried to activate the second SIM on this device when it doesn't have a dual SIM ROM and radio, but it doesn't work, and some models don't even have the hardware.

Hi,
May be my phone buy in Asia different other market, at the beginning it just single sim I just flash stock rom of dual sim (with higher security patch level than in your phone) and automatic active Sim 2.
Or you can unlock bootloader (lost warranty from Motorola) and downgrade OS and flash newest OS Dual sim for your phone
You can see it in attached picture.

If you put your sim in and doesn't ask for code.... Then don't worry just use it. If you need to put different sim in and asks for code. .. That's when you will need the code. If it still doesn't ask for code then probably phone is already unlocked.

I doubt it is carrier-locked, it looks more like region-locked.
Also in this case it might be a problem since for Vietnam (XXV, XEV) the original Samsung version was N9000 (the Exynos one) - and I believe there is no N9005 firmware with a CSC corresponding to XXV or XEV.
You should probably look around for other owners/users in Vietnam.
If you find nothing you should try to insert an EU SIM and see if it works (assuming the N9005 was bought in EU, otherwise a SIM from the country from where it was bought).
In the future when you need help you might see more feedback if you provide more details - for instance your current firmware in the phone , you can see those after *#1234# , also reading and searching around the forums here has never hurt anyone

The software inside your N9005 suggests a Hong-Kong software version (which does not 100% guarantee that it was a Hong-Kong phone in the first place, but nothing does).
I am afraid I have no experience with what happens there - you really need to ask somebody with a N9005 and Vietnam SIM.
Just looked at your video but can't see anything in the status bar. Can you go into about phone and then status to see the service state... If in service or not. Also can you get Internet on the phone

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if it's possible to convert the single sim model 935F into dual sim model by changing the firmware or by any other way?
Thanks in advance.
Nobody knows if the model G935-F can be used in some way also in dual sim modality?

Which hardware do you mean? it´s identical!
Even dual version 935FD uses ONLY one Radio module!!!!
That`s why I support the quastion what should we do or modify to make 935F accepting 2 SIM cards?
I have read on 4pda.ru that dual sim slot from 935FD version does not help.
I can not believe that Samsung uses different SIM slot on both devises.

You can't believe Samsung would use a cheaper part on the 90% of phones that don't need the more expensive part?
Your beliefs don't matter, the sim slot is very likely different. Dual sim slots cost more then single sim slots, and since the two are the same size it would be easy to just make a production run using dual when stock gets low.

If you check the tear down videos , the motherboard , which also hosts the Sim hardware have the specific model number printed on them, so I'm guessing that you will not be able to adapt the G935F to dual sim. Let's see if CuBz90 proves otherwise.

What makes you think its there? They sold like 10+ million s7's, you think samsung put 2 imei's in all the phones? Doubt it.
http://www.noreplied.com/how-to-ins...d-and-microsd-card-in-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge/
The hardware between both phones appear to be the same (minus the SIM tray), the difference is software related, there is a flag in the csc that defines whether or not your device is single or dual sim, changing it by modifying the value in csc using root privileges (or perhaps by flashing a dual sim CSC ?) and factory reset the phone would, in theory enable the dual sim feature, I am however unsure (it is unlikely) that the EFS contains a second IMEI for your phone. (you would easily be able to tell if you enable the flag in the csc, restore the phone to factory settings and type *#06# in the dialer), if your second IMEI (should your phone still function after the modification) be anything other than 0s then it might just work.
any news here?
I have received the dual sim tray but liek @peachpuff said, I do not have 2 IMEI so not bothered wasting my time trying it.

Im using a sprint s7 edge that I froze apps on before inserting the sim card and in the activity manager app if I go to the 2nd phone icon then down to network settings it opens the sim card settings. It shows sim 1 and sim 2. My csc code is xas instead of spr because of disabling packages prior to activation. Your theory is correct mathieulh

So, did you check if you have a second imei which would allow you to insert a second simcard?
Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
I don't believe it would work, but so we can get a real answer,I will try this tonight and post with the result so then it's settled. But I really don't expect it to work.
EDIT:
Well I tried it and it did not work. The phone ignored the fact I had 2 sims inserted and acted like I only had 1.
I flashed the G935FD firmware via ODIN and used a dual sim tray that I purchased on eBay.
I also tried going into the sim menu (it wasn't in the settings menus so had to access it via 'Activities' in Nova) but it would not open, it just kept force closing.
My guess is that it is hard coded into the hardware.

I have s7 930f single sim with stock firmware. Today I discovered option to change sim via hidden menu with activity launcher app. I don't have second card to test if that is work.
..
Now I see the tutorial how to add second sim on s7. Is for s7 dual sim and how get working with 2nd sim the sd card at same time. Those instructions is not for single -> dual sim conversion.
As plenty of us know, G930F and G930FD have the same structure and they both share the same firmware (yes, the firmware for G930F is also for G930FD). That is also the case with our older brother, the Galaxy S7 Edge G935F/FD.
The Duos variant will remain, well, a dual sim one even when flashing the G930F's firmware.
I just found out what file to modify for the duos variant to convert it to a single sim one. However, I've encountered something that prevents me to continue.
I don't know if this file is also present for the single sim variant and if it can be modified for them to obtain dual sim capability.
So, here, let's start the discussion.
First of all, I have TWRP installed, have dm-veriety triggered, decrypted /data partition, on Custom Rom (Echoe Eom).
If you have a root browser (ie Root Explorer, ES file explorer, etc.) go and browse the /efs partition and open up factory.prop
There is only one line there, the ro.miltisim.simslotcount=2
I tried changing its value to "1" and reboot. Upon reboot my phone will display a sim card mismatch error and that the sim card settings has been changed from dual sim to single sim and needed a factory reset (see photo).
After accepting a factory reset, my phone will just do a normal boot and the factory.prop will revert back to its original value.
I've tried several things, doing a manual factory reset through TWRP after modifying factory.prop (didn't work)
Flashing a stock rom after modifying factory.prop didn't work too.
Flashing a stock rom, flashing TWRP, rooting, enabling system modification, modifying factory.prop, reflashing stock recovery, and doing a factory reset still doesn't work.
So there we go, maybe someone has better ideas, you can freely share it here.

Yeah, Have to ask the same question. If you're not putting a second SIM on the slot, then essentially it's a single SIM phone. Yes you've got the icon to show SIM1/2 but that won't bother you after some time.
I've had the phone for just over 2 weeks and it never had an issue being a Duos. I was initially sad about it but now don't have any regrets. Heck, I now take it as an advantage, I can have a backup SIM in case I had to take one and don't have to bother about taking another phone with me.
Well, apparently the OP is from the Philippines and some people in our country thinks that a dual sim phone is a cheap China knockoff phone and they will do whatever they can do just to convert it into a single sim phone and some social climbers in our country even hate seeing the "Duos" logo on the back and the Sim1/Sim2 logo on SMS and call logs and they keep b*tching about it in forums. I'm not saying that OP is one of those people and I don't like to assume as he may have a different reason than I stated but as for me, I have no problems with it, it is still a premium phone regardless of being a dual sim or not.
Actually I have nothing against dual sim phones. And I had enough time in the community to differentiate a knockoff from a legit one.
As I have mentioned, the single sim variants may have the same file and might be able to convert theirs into a dual sim one, now that's something.
You know, when you spend too much time in the community, when developments seem to slow down, you tend to search for developments yourself. At least, that's the case for me, heck, that's the reason i'm on android after all.

Is it possible to enable the dual sim functionality on the Huawei Nova CAN-L01 version?
I am new to the Huawei game and as far as I can find we should need the oeminfo img of a dual sim variant, is this correct?
I think the only dual sim version is the CAN-L11 or are there any CAN-L01 versions with dual sim enabled?
Mine is;
CAN-L01C02B130
CUSTC02D014
Any ideas or other input is welcome.
Im not shure if its even possible to do it...someone replied it was possible for another model by forming a sim card to fit in the sdcard slot...or glue the sim card onto the sdcard...but theres no place for both in the tray so...
thats not a thing i will play with...
My tray can physically accept 2 SIMs but it only sees one.
Can-l01 and l11 is the same phone you have just to flash a full l11 firmware to activate the dual sim feature
You are sure about that? Do you have a firmware? I already tried the CAN-L11 Nougat update and it did not work. It halts after 40%.

I have the same. I played around with my CAN-L01 and flashed a nandroid I found in order to get rid of my vodafone branding. That nandroid was supposed to be CAN-L11 based. My phone still does not accept a second SIM but it now also does not show CAN-L11 anymore in about phone. It only shows "CANC432B100" - Maybe, once I found a full flashable L11 ROM, it might accept two sims, who knows.

I've been on a vodafone branded CAN-L01 before. So it was something like CAN-L01C02*****. I don't know which CUST it was.
I then flashed this nandroid (which is for CAN-L11) to debrand (third post): https://forum.xda-developers.com/nova-plus/help/help-firmeware-l11-eu-version-t3525901
I had to untick CUST when flashing back the nandroid in twrp because it seems like my cust partition is smaller (<100 MB) than default (~200 MB).

If you go to a store and check out the boxes you can get alot of IMEI numbers too.
My friends
One of my relative recently bought one used S7 Edge in Chennai ( Tamilnadu, India ). The seller told him that its a dual sim varient. He did not checked at that time and yesterday he tried to put 2 sims into it but its only a Single sim tray. We can only put one sim and a sd card. No dual sim. The seller is already left from city so we can't contact him.
He came to me today and i did some research. I found the model number is G935FD in about phone. Also when i check IMEI by dialing *#06# its showing 2 IMEIs. And in Settings/Connections/Sim Card Manager it shows dual sim settings also. So confused. I checked with Samsung Phone info app also and in there its showing only 1 IMEI.
I am posting some screenshot here. Kindly refer that and give me some valuable advice.

Yep, it is a dual sim version.
Are you sure the tray does not have the place for the second sim? (you have to choose between a sdcard or a sim card).
If you're sure it doesn't have, you can buy a tray at ebay. Just search for "Dual SIM Card Tray Holder Insert For Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge G935"

Yes my friend. Its have only one sim and one sd card support tray. I will buy one soon..
But what i am asking can we get these options by flashing a G935FD firmware in G935F? I mean that 2 imei. Or its a hardware part? But i am getting only one imei in Samsung phone info app.

Yes, you can flash the F firmware onto the FD variant and it will remain dual sim.
Just make sure you flash the right version. I believe you have an exynos variant, right? Be careful not to flash a snapdragon rom!
I'm not responsible for any damages =)

I am using exynos varient but i think u have misread my question bro.
For example some one have a single sim S7 Edge. Ok? And if he flash a G935FD indian firmware in his single sim model will he get Dual sim options under settings? Also double imeis ? I am not asking how to make single sim to dual by flashing.

Actually, the answer was implicit. You will not get Dual SIM capabilities if your phone has just one IMEI. The same is valid the other way around.
I actually tried. My phone is Single SIM and I bought a Dual SIM tray and flashed the FD firmware. The phone kept one IMEI and did not recognize the other SIM Card.

Exactly. Not the Dual SIM options nor the other IMEI number... that's a pity (I also wanted =P) but it won't work.
Best Regards.

Thank you thank you my friend.. All problems and doubts cleared. Bought a Dual sim tray and tested. Dual sim works finally. Don't know why Samsung put a single sim tray in dual sim phone
