Installing Exynos based roms from other variants on N910U - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First of all pardon me if this is a noob question or is already asked, I tried to search a lot but couldn't find it so decided to ask here.
Now I'm using a Note 4 N910U and there is very little development for it, it has exactly the same specs and hardware as N910C and N910H or any other Exynos variants so is it possible to install a rom that is made for C/H variants on U?
any help would be great.:good:
Thanks in advance.

Going my the Note4 modem list, looks like at least modem hardware is different

So much confusion, thanks samsung.

Hi people,
I am thinking to flash a custom rom on my n910c. So still doing my research which rom fits me best.
But I came across some rom specific listing the devices as NOTE 4 INTL, AT&T, T MOBILE etc.
Well, my question is, can i flash note 4 intl roms on my n910c? What is the name for n910c so i can find roms easier? There aren't a lot as far as i found..
Dont recommend me any rom, as I know that sort of break the rule here. I just want to know the code name/name for n910c so i wont potentially hard/soft brick my n910c.

n910c is just a note 4 with exynos cpu, on n910c you can flash only n910c
n910f is a note 4 with qualcomm snapdragon
they are both the NOTE 4 INTL
n910a is at&t
n910v is verizon
n910p is sprint
n910t /n910t3 is Telekom
i think there are a couple more variants of note 4, but you can flash roms only for your device wich is N910C

Roms for SM-G935K The Korean S7 edge

Hi all I couldn't find a thread or section which will help me or guide me to install some of the beautiful roms here for my device, can you please help me out and let me know where can I find the roms matching my device.
I really appreciate your quick reply,
thanks
Nasser
Your device = the Exynos 8890 variant. I don't see why the many ROMs available here on XDA wouldn't work?! I have the Exynos W8 variant (Canada). That specific S7 edge variant is not included in many of these ROMs compatibility list, but it works anyway.

Well, thanks for your reply, in fact I didnt try any rom yet, because whenever I read the model supported in every rom thread, I couldnt find mine or the model I mentioned in the subject.
since you have the Exynos 8890 which is similar to mine so I think you are right...Which rom you tried and it works ...?
many thanks again.

SM-G935K is exynos variant model, you can flash custom roms for exynos model.
I have same model SM-G935K and flash custom rom for exynos model.
but if you want flash custom rom, you need flash custom recovery and void warranty.

Buying the SM-N910G, what should I expect?

Hi everyone;
I'm buying the N910G from a friend of mine and I've just noticed that this device specifically is not supported by any of the ROMS I've come across and liked so far. With the Note 2 it didn't really matter that much, I installed AT&T ROMS on my N7105 and they worked perfectly fine all the time. I don't know about the process here, do Snapdragon ROMS work on Exynos based phones? Do Exynos ROMS that don't support the N910G work on the N910G?
Worst case scenario with the Note 2 when I soft-bricked it I would just plug it into the PC and use Odin to flash the official ROM for my phone and it'll fix any issues, then I'd auto-root it, install recovery, and go back to doing what I was doing.
Anyway, if anyone can help me out here, that would be great. What ROMS can I actually install on it? What are the worrying things I should be avoiding? etc...

Are you crazy , n910g has a good development .
The most supported device is n910f , and n910f roms can be used on n910g .
Exynos roms are limited and you won't see any nougat rom on exynos devices , n910g is snapdragon, if you like roms from exynos development, trust me snapdragon roms are better , the snapdragon community is 20 times larger than exynos community .
Snapdragon Is open source.
Go search something on Google .
Infact the latest note 7 ported roms are made on n910g base .
N910g is best.
On top of that , The renowned issue of note 4 "emmc failure" , has been fixed for n910g .
There is a debrick.img made by me, which can recover your phone even if it is completely unresponsive.
This device is best . Dont even consider any other variant , if your purpose is to flash toms .
It is well supported.

+1 this reply.
I have n910p, and even use G and F roms with some fixes.
You can't go wrong with snapdragon. You can almost flash all the roms for snapdragon version. But you don't want to try to flash any exynos roms.
Damn! I have been roaming the Exynos section of the forum this whole time thinking it has an exynos chip as the guy I am buying from said it's exynos. And I was wondering how come it has no support and there is no roms for it. I am so glad it's the snapdragon edition. Thanks guys, I'll go check the snapdragon sub-section now!

Having trouble finding a custom Rom

Hi guys, I have an Note 4 sm-n910k, with Exynos Octa 5433 (running marshmallow 6.0.1). I currently have a Korean stock Rom, and I'd like put a custom Rom on it (CM 13 ideally). I looked around, and it seems that all the roms are for the other variations of this phone, but not the "K" version. What's the main difference in the models that stops me from installing one of variant roms, as all I can see is that they have a different baseband, or can I basically use any of the 32gb Exynos variant roms, as the hardware seems to be the same. Failing that does anybody have a line on any good roms? Sorry for such a noob question, and thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Custom rom for note 3 sm-n9007

Hi all, I've just joined and have just finished rooting my Samsung galaxy note 3 sm-n9007. I've tried searching on the net for custom rom but they all seem to be for other variants of the note 3. Can someone point me in the right direction. I did notice the cm14 rom but that was for sm-n9005 so I'm assuming it won't be compatible. In case you can't tell I'm far from being a pro at this sort of thing but just wanted to try a different rom out as I'm sick of Android 5.0. Thanks in advance, Michael.
Hi there,
I will move your thread in the correct forum dedicated to Galaxy Note 3 Q&A for more relevant answers.
Good luck
You may have difficulty with that model .

Thanks, yeah it does seem like that. There's plenty for the n9005 but I'm assuming I can't use those rooms on my n9005?

Be sure to open up the ROM post on the forum and read the compatibility list. In most cases, they use N9005 as a base but it also might be compatible with other variants
For example I'm using an n7 port which only mentions compatibility with the N9005 (but it does not say EXCLUSIVE for the N9005) but as I kept reading on the same post, I learned that the N900T (my variant) is also supported to install
So please read the forum carefully and/or use the search function on that thread. You'd be surprised to know how many people have asked if their Note 3 variant is also supported
Hope this helps!
