Hello guys!
Basicly I have acidentally deleted all my sms data while wiping my cache!
I managed to back up my girlfriend messages and inported to my phone, the problem now is that those SMS are sent for my own phone number so it appears like "+3511234567(my number)" instead of her number.
What I want is to keep this messages but change my number to his number on this SMS data and keep replying from there, so it will be the same I had before deleting everything.
Any ideas ? thank you!

Hi im a new member of the forum.
I have had my XDAII for a year now and i needed to restore my data after a hard reset using xbackup.
I thought that restoring restores everything that was backed up, but no. My inbox has my sms messages shown but i cannot open them to read; i cannot even delete them. My messages show up with out an envelope on the left hand side of the list.
Can anyone either tell me how to get my messages back or get rid of my old messges, as i have tried to delete them, but no joy; i have also tried select all and delete but only to delete my sms messages recieve since restoring.

HI there - I know you wrote about your sms deletion issue back in 2005 but did you ever get a reply? I have the same issue, with a selection of items in the Inbox, Outbox and Deleted folder, which just wont go, doesn't matter what I do. Just wondered if you managed to fix the issue?

Hi everyone,
is it normal that my tattoo deletes my sms belonging to the conversation with a random contact after I receive a response from one of my contacts?
Example:
I write to my friend - sms stored
my friend responds - sms stored
I write back - sms stored
He then writes back - conversation completely deleted (except this last answer from my friend)
Is this normal?
Would be nice if anyone could answer.

no - its not normal - Ive got threads with 900 ish sms all threaded.
The only time they dont get added to the thread is if i send one sms to multiple contacts
Hey guys, I'm having some issues here. When receiving sms, the senders number doesn't always appear. Instead, it shows the first word of the sms as the sender.
Meaning I can't really find out who sended the message cuz it doesn't show the senders number. Any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?

I have imported my SMS messages from iOS to my new OnePlus 5 and I am facing a strange issue.
I have used iSMS2droid with a backup from iTunes and also SMS Backup and Restore. The weird thing is the messages show up only in the OxygenOS stock messages app and not in Google Messages. Also they are not grouped correctly (some SMS from the same number show up in different threads) and they are not ordered by date.
Any help would be really appreciated. I've already tried to delete them and re-import from SMS Backup and Restore but with no luck.

Does any one use Google messages?
Anyway, I have a problem with Android (Google) messages, when I receive SMS with phone number, I can't click and call that phone number (is not clickable), after I clear cache it works, but for short period of time and than again phone numbers are not clickable.
1. is there a solution for default SMS application not to send messages form default sim card, so if I send a SMS form SIM2 to some one, can it remember and send always form SIM2 (not to get switch back to SIM1 always).
2. is there a solution for Android messages problem?
