Hi everyone!
It's well known that our beloved Axon 7 is a memorable machine in the sound department!
With this in mind, I would like to ask friends who have root access to make the following files (inside system/etc) available to me:
mixer_paths.xml
mixer_paths_dtp.xml
mixer_paths_i2s.xml
mixer_paths_tasha.xml
P.S.: For further studies and developments!
A simple release will come soon after someone share the files!
*All versions, please! (A2017, A2017G, A2017U - MM and Nougat 7.0 + 7.1.1)

Marshmallow (A2017G) device here
After a lot of tests the only bump in volume was heard when choosing "Standard" mode...
The "Super" mode for headphones still the same.
This phone have the best audio hardware of the market but it don't have a single mod... This is really sad
no news?

i don't see why we'd need to boost the volume while we can get 10 freaking volts out of it... Have you ever used Poweramp? I can blow my freaking eardrums off with 32 ohm over-ears (hd360pro, not necessarily loud) and less than half the volume slider

It's because the sensitivity of some headphones is too low. (AKAI 50x, Pinnacle P1, Westone UM2, for example)
P.S.: I use Poweramp since it was launched.
Wasn't it only Marshmallow that needed more volume? My G is loud as on the Nougat ROM.

I always thought the max volume lever was to low on the dinc. Just got the OTA to 2.2 and still the same. Took a flight Sat. and brought some .avi movies to watch. The volume is so low, even at max, that I cannot hear a lot of it. Frustrating.
Myphone is rooted. Is there anyway to increase or boost the volume?
Thanks.................MM

i would like a free way to increase my volume as well!
Be Careful
Blown speakers is a fairly common thing at this point. Be very very very very careful if you want to push the speakers further than they are meant.
Use a headset, then you get the hear it much better and not disturb passengers around you on the flight.
In-ear plug type or over-the-ear full coverage cans are the best for flights. I fly a lot and use in-ears all the time. Keeps the noisy airplane and babies out, and keeps the overly talkative neighbor at bay as well.
Maybe get some quality in earbuds that block out more external sound. I find the Dinc to be loud enough. I have tinnitus from playing in bars with my stack turned up too high. You do not want louder, it absolutely sucks hearing a ringing in your ears 24/7 for the rest of your life.

I was using in the ear sound isolating monitors. They seal well and block a lot of ambient sound. I tried 3 different movies in .avi format. Sound was way too low and I could not make out a lot of dialogue. I use Rock player. Would be nice if I had a player with an equalizer or gain boost.

What headphones exactly are you using? If they are a high impedance or have a low sensivity they wont get loud. I have the Skullcandy Titans and they get plenty loud.
I'm using me electronics M9 http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronics_M9_Hi_Fi_Sound_Isolating_earphones_p/earphone-m9-mee.htm
Is 16 ohms on the high side?

no, 16 ohms is great, but 95db for the sensitivity is definitely not.
my headphones are 16ohm as well but have a 115db sensitivity. when listening to music i am usually about 3 or 4 notches from full volume, and that's about as much as i can take.

Skullcandy Titans. they sound pretty nice. i mentioned it a few posts up.
I use poweramp for music and on headphones the volume really sucks. Its low and distorted. I have tried volume + but it is still real low. My samsung vibrant sounds great. Am i expecting too much from the transformer? Im on 3.1 if that means anything.
maybe worth trying a different headphone... mine works pretty well with the stock player..
I did not want to open a new thread but the sound on mine is really low too and just yesterday the was no sound on the right speaker, is there a fix or should i return it.
Thanks

Nah, I have dozens of headphones and they all sound low or bad on the transformer but sound loud and great on pretty much everything else.
I love my TF but as a sound device it just really blows.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1099852
DSP manager really improved the quality of the sound coming out. I was using some big driver earphones that would deafen you out of most devices so volume wasnt an issue, just lack of bass.
Use an app called volume+

In my OP I state that Volume + does nothing. It just make the sound distorted and is still way too low. Looking into DSP manager......

that's Weird,
Mine's quite loud,
it hurts my ear if it to max volume,
see if you can have access to another TF and try out the headphone
are you on stock kernel by the way?

Lol ya I was thinking the same thing, seriously don't think it's possible to hurt your ears, but that Volume+ app actually did help mine quite a bit, it's decent now but worlds away from the iPad or the Playbook.

Yes, stock kernel. Have no access to another TF.
Too loud for you? Man, are you over 50/60? J/K, my 50 year old GF always thinks my sound is too loud but I have above normal hearing and can hear a pin drop across the highway. So when I say the TF sound is low, its really low. And it sounds like ass too. I don;t know why they hype SRS speakers unless SRS means Sounds Really ****ty in Asus' kingdom. I am in the process of searching to a replacement HW dac for this as it is really bad. The built-ins are ok for built-ins but the HP jack should have much better sound with any headphone I put in. My cell phone sounds 100 times better and at least 4x louder than the TF.
Try grabbing someone else's TF and compare its performance with yours; it may have a defective socket. My first one had this horrible distorting sound from its headphone-out, turns out to be a hardware issue. My second one works well, and actually sounds nice - how does Zune HD-like sound quality and volume sound to you?
Headphone amp on the transformer is actually awesome. It's the same one on the Galaxy S. It just needs a better driver. Try Voodoo Control App Plus by Supercurio in the Market. I have it but it requires root so I haven't used it yet. On my Samsung Fascinate, it makes my in ear monitors louder than I can handle.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I just bought mine last week and headphone output sounds great. The speakers are not the loudest but the sound sharp and clear. Sounds like a hardware issue.

ove read a lot of threads where people say their volume sucks. Mine is oud as hell, i actually have to turn it down sometimes.
yes, mine is also quite loud. it is comparable to other devices and my phone. not sure why some ppl said the volume too low.. maybe they are comparing to their home theatre speakers LOL
VoodooSound should help with this, I hope it will be released soon for Transformer.
edit: it's already there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1132875

yes maybe we should have a standard on this. mine sure is loud. don't need to be louder.
Ok, latest update: Last night I was playing with the TF and using PowerAmp and playing the same mp3 file on both the TF and my Vibrant (Comfortable Numb BTW) and using same EQ settings, my phone was at least 200% louder than my TF using max volume and same headphones. I got pissed off at the TF and ripped out the jack and slammed it back in a few times.......well guess what, the TF volume went up about 50% more. Wondering if it was a loose solder connection or something. So, music is tolerable on my TF now, but it is still low compared to my other androidesque devices.
I came from a Touch Pro 2 with it's awsome speaker phone that I used a lot.
The speaker phone in the Trophy is just too low, if there is any other noise in a room (computer fans does it and they are not even loud) the phone is worthless because you can't hear anyone.
The TP2 went much higher in volume, so it could overcome small background noises. The Trophy at it's max volume is perfectly clear, I am sure it would be able to handle going to 15 and from it's current max of 10
Is there a way to adjust this, even in the registry for a dev unlocked device ?

I have Jays One+ for a while and are great! Yesterday I have also bought SGS4, and I have to say - the sound is stunning! I'm using PowerAmp Pro and I had to adjust the sound just only a bit. Before that, with HTC Desire, it required more work to get the sound right for me.
Unfortunately, the Jays' App is useless - Android captures the long button press and can't be used to adjusting the volume. Nevertheless one, double and triple press work great! (at least on Desire, but AFAIK it is Android > 4 feature)
Another annoying think is the cord shape and sound it makes when you walk... this scratchy sound can be heard during music play. You need to set the cord, i.e. under the clothes, so it doesn't make noise.
I hope you'll like it anyway!
I've had them for a while. Awesome sound quality

I had the One for a while (not the +), fantastic sounding piece of kit. I got them while I had my Galaxy S with Voodoo Sound, and as I mostly listen to music with a lot of bass, these absolutely killed it, phenomenally deep and clear bass.
I might just get the One+ (the One died at the jack ).
Thought I would be doing all right buying direct from Sony that I wouldn't ba as locked down as much as getting a phone from a carrier. Wrong. My biggest problem is the headphone volume is way to low. I like podcasts ones with low recorded volume becomes hard to hear. Other problem is why is it so hard to find a headphone with remote that has volume that works. MOD EDIT
Get a Nexus.
You probably have 32 Ohm headphones/earphones in which case what you said is true. I use 16 Ohm M-Duo earphones and at max volume it almost hurts.
what headphone r u using ?

I just use Apple earpods for now. I have spent close to $200 trying to get a pair that has play/pause and volume. Bought a Bose pair for Android/ Samsung. The volume worked but the play/pause only worked to also lower the volume. I am all ready tired of Sony. I hate that they lower the volume when I start listening after a break. My ipod touch has a decent volume and I think that this z3 only does't because Sony screwed with it to keep it low. Even trying to boost gain with the eq doesnt work. I am not surprised because hind site I should have remembered Sony never really gives me what I wan't out of a product. Does HTC have a loud volume?

Usually when a mod edits a post, a reason is given, like "MOD EDIT: Language" or "MOD EDIT: Harassing comments" or something. So I can understand why there would be a question about a mod editing a post without giving a reason.
