I bought an S7 Edge SM-G9350 Dual Sim that is unlocked. I was planning on using it on AT&T but apparently the Dual Sim model isn't compatible with the 4G LTE in the US. The AT&T rep I worked with called his Samsung rep and verified it wouldn't work on 4G. We checked all the APN settings and bands the device is capable of, verifying it should work. Is there any way to make it work correctly as it seems to be a software issue?
I spoke with another AT&T rep who said it doesn't appear to have the region lock as it wouldn't activate on the AT&T network at all then but he didn't know why it wouldn't work.
Would flashing another ROM work, or what level is the incompatibility? In the network settings there are listings for the carriers and their 2G and 3G settings but no LTE options.
Which LG V20 model is dual sim capable? I'm on Verizon now and would like to use both Verizon and a GSM network.
Thanks

That's not possible. 99% of dual sim phones are GSM, Verizon is CDMA. Unless you only need Verizon for data? as you'd get LTE data only, No voice calls or SMS.
They're a few dual sim GSM/CDMA phones but Verizon wouldn't activate a Non Verizon phone for CDMA, and those devices are usually older low end devices (no flagships)

Under Settings / More / Mobile Network / System Select, there are 2 choices:
Network mode
LTE/GSM/UMTS settings (this is grayed out)
Pressing Network Mode, I am given the following choices:
Global (this was selected)
LTE/CDMA
LTE/GSM/UMTS
If I select LTE/GSM/UMTS, then the LTE/GSM/UMTS selection under settings is no longer grayed out.
What does this mean?

I see that while it may have the software, it only has a single SIM slot.

That's because the Verizon variant is unlocked for GSM carriers meaning you could put a att or T-Mobile sim and use it on that.
If you have the Verizon variant it's not dual sim.

Yes, I see that now. So good to know that if I get tired of VZ, I can switch without getting a new phone.
Hi all,
I've been having a Sprint Galaxy Note 4 that is unlocked. I bought it unlocked already. My mobile service provider is T-Mobile. I have an unlimited plan with them. The issue is that the Note cannot connect to LTE network. The only option available for me to access the internet on the go is the GSM/UMTS option under the network mode settings. Using this option my phone can only connect to a 3g service that is painfully slow. If I try selecting the CDMA or LTE/CDMA option under the network mode settings the Note will not get any service at all as if there was no sim card inside of the phone. Therefore I can only use the GSM/UMTS option. Is there a fix for this or am I stuck with 3g service on this phone? Please ask me questions if you have any that will help me get to a fix. Thanks :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

I believe the LTE bands in sprint CDMA/VERIZON CDMA are different. they are not compatible with T-mobile because T-mobile required completely different LTE bands and they are locked in sprint phones and they cannot be unlocked.
If you have N910V/N910P You will only get HSPA/HSPA+ 3G/3.5G with T-MOBILE/AT&T network.
My best suggestions will be you can swap your sprint with T-mobile note 4 because N910T has more LTE bands unlocked then any other note 4 models actually more bands then international models too.

I can't say since I don't have the Verizon model and my Metro one unlocked with no problems. Ask @madbat99 or @MotoJunkie01 for their advice on it. They might be able to help.

I'm preparing to install Russian rom from xiaomi . So you advice me not to do
I'm pretty sure that it is a GSM only phone. The W-CDMA listed in the specs is actually UMTS, the competitor to CDMA2000 and the 4G standard used by GSM networks.
What network are you trying to connect to?

Yes it is CDMA2000 EVDO.
When I insert *#*#4636#*#*
I have cdma among networks' list.
I don't think it is going to work. Which cell provider are you trying to use? In what country?
Most US reviews of unlocked phones specify that they will only work on GSM networks like T-Mobile.

I'm from Yemen Arabia. My network is Yemen Mobile Telecom.CDMA2000 3G EVDO.
and the rn7 reads the sim information like network name and services on the sim .
I have no idea about Yemeni carriers, sorry. Have you tried calling them?

Hi I don't know if this helps anyone and I know this is an older post but I think I found how to turn CDMA on. developer options enabled, go into about phone settings and tap "internal storage" until it opens up phone info. Choose the sim slot and there you can set preferred network to CDMA only or something like that. I don't know much about mobile network but I saw that CDMA setting in there.
That menu you get after clicking on internal storage is the same as typing *#*#4636#*#* in Phone. I've tried changing it to CDMA only or LTE/CDMA but nothing happens, the UIM card is recognized but it can't log on to the network.
More info: the Global Rom version of the phone only works with CDMA carriers that have LTE data and VoLTE voice. It does *not* work over CDMA 1x or EVDO. I had to swap a new China Telecom UIM to get VoLTE working.
Hi. I bought Redmi Note 7 Pro from aliexpress with global Rom. It does not connect to my carrier in Poland. The status of the sim keeps changing from no service to emergency calls only every 2 seconds. Is there any way to fix it?
RN7 not work on the network CDMA.

Is there anything I can do or should I return the phone?
