no space when installing Xposed - YotaPhone

Hey all! After getting lollipop on my YD206, and flashing TWRP. Then flashing root. On the first reboot the system will give me an alert saying it has no space when it has 20+GB free space. So I basically rebooted my phone again and it was stuck on a bootloop so I had to reflash lollipop.
Any suggestions on how I can install Xposed?

[Q] Cant Install System Update to JB 4.3

I have Nexus 4 running rooted JB 4.3Stock (Build JWR66V). I have also installed xposed framework. Recover is TWRP. Last week I got a system update notification. Update size is about 1.8 MB. After rebooting for installing the update, TWRP shows a message that Root permission may have been broken and displays a button to fix the permission. Even i choose to ignore this and reboot, root permission is not affected in anyways after reboot. However, I noticed that system was not updated and the build number remain the same. After couple of days, i get the update notification again and once again the same thing repeats. Can anyone tell me why its not getting updated?

Its the JWR66Y update, have you looked here for info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2145848. Or just reflash the factory image and reroot and you`re done http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312.

Hi Is the update failing because of Xposed Framework? any idea?

Off course, and you have a custom recovery and possibly a custom kernel. Updates can only be installed on factory images, unless you flash them with a custom recovery like TWRP.

Hi it worked! The android build is now JWR66Y. I uninstalled the xposed framework and then flashd the update file thru TWRP. Eventhough after flashin the update, i flashed the SU, it didnt work (TWRP was showing that the installation was success). When i rebooted, cudnt find SU in apps. So I just installed the app from Play Store and it worked! Now I have root access too.
Thanks mate!

[Q] Android marshmallow ota update failed.

Last night received an ota update to marshmallow. Size is around 583mb. After finishing the download. It asked me to install now or later. I hit now, and it rebooted and stock recovery opened and installation stated. After a minute it rebooted without any error back to android 5.1.1 it said it there was an error updating and I have to download the ota again.
I haven't flashed custom recovery or rom or any other mods. But have super su installed. No xposed even. I just ran twrp recovery temporarily without flashing to install super su. Bootloader unlocked. Any inputs how to get this fixed?? Battery is about 62%

Try to use the unroot function on SuperSU. If this doesn't work, I guess you'll need to flash the whole stock rom...

Till u r rooted, you can't update normally. Either try u rooting or
Look for the twrp flashable Marshmallow thread instead if you want to install twrp.

Unrooted and flashed stock rom from fastboot commands and system status is still Modified. Downloaded OTA update and it installed itself and system turned to Official from Modified.

You have to update both, SuperSU and Xposed.
Download latest SuperSU.zip and flash from TWRP recovery and after that flash Xposed.
Download latest Xposed from here:

Can you elaborate more about the error?
Normally it gives 'no space left' error in YOG4PAS8A4 build. For this you have to uninstall some system apps like Chrome, YouTube and other, after that you can flash Xposed.
Thanks for the reply.

Internal storage and /System partition space are different things. You have to uninstall some system apps as I told in my previous post. This guide (old but it'll do) can help you to removing those apps.
After uninstalling some apps you can flash Xposed.
BTW, you can also upgrade TWRP recovery to latest version.

I'll give my What's app no. if you face any problem after following these steps.
Thank you very much bro!!!!

Installing Official Nougat in an XT1621

Hello! Today I woke up with the notification of the new nougat update, Exciting! But I guess I have several problems: first of all, my phone is rooted, will I lose root acces? Also, I have TWRP installed. Yesterday I tried installing a security update on a device with TWRP and there was no way, will this happen to me? Another problem is my kernel, ElementalX. I've installed it since I had screen burn, but I don't really care about performing a fix everyday, but I know this kernel will prevent Nougat to install correctly. I do have a System Backup from when the kernel was not installed, and I read you can install 'just the boot.img' from TWRP restoring options but there's no "boot.img" file on my backup folder. I would like to add that I'm running on Marshmallow 6.0.1, rooted with SuperSU, using Xposed. The ElementalX kernel ver. is 3.10.84-ElementalX-G4-0.07 and the TWRP ver. is twrp-3.0.2-0-athene. Thank you all in advance!

You must return to stock recovery and stock kernel in order to flash the OTA. Yes you will lose root and will have to redo it once you are updated. The procedure for rooting in Nougat is different than on Marshmallow. There are numerous posts in this forum on the exact steps you need to take to accomplish all of this this safely. Take the time to read and research before you try anything. Don't just expect somebody to spoon feed you the info.

HELP! S8 won't boot up!

I've messed everything up and now I'm devastated!
My S8 stucks at the very first screen (where it says: SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 - powered by android). It doesn't boot further this very specific screen. I have tried to update Magisk and Magisk Manager but only Magisk Manager seems to get updated successfully while the app suddenly says that the latest version of Magisk Manager required Magisk V19.XX hence I've tried to install it via TWRP. According to log screen, I've managed to install magisk via TWRP but after booting up, I opened Magisk Manager where it now says that Magisk isn't installed. I therefore boot into TWRP and tried to fix it since some apps of mine that required root access wasn't working anymore. So, I thought I must have lost root access. I once again boot into recovery, I uninstalled magisk and install an older version of magisk and magisk manager and also the no_verity patch. After that my Galaxy S8 won't boot up. It just stucks at the very first screen. My S8 (international version) is still on Nougat stock samsung firmware and I can enter TWRP but the phone remains freeze and stubbornly refused to boot up.
I'm quite devastated and I hope you guys can help me fix this issue!
Thank you!

Are there any solutions other than flashing a custom rom? Meanwhile, I have managed to flash Android 9 via ODIN and have TWRP installed but it won't boot up and stucks at the very first booting screens.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Have you tried just flashing stock rom only to see if it boots up. You may have to do a clean install.
Problem sounds like you haven't decrypted phone and flashed no verity zip file.
You won't need to flash a custom rom to fix this.
As for magisk have a look through this very helpful guide for installs and troubleshooting.
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/HomePage
I've managed to solve this issue by myself. But still, thank you so much! It's the thought that counts ? And yes, I've figured out that I haven't decrypt my S8. But everything is absolutely fine now and I feel extremely relieved. It took me 1 day to fix this major issue and I've encountered lots of difficulties while trying to fix this like bootloops, system won't boot up and managed to stuck at the very first booting screen again and the phone boot past the first booting screen and stucks at the second booting screen, and also bootloader error and stuffs like where realization hit me that I can't restore my nandroid backup while still on Nougat because after restoring it won't boot up. I therefore managed to flash Android 9 and twrp. My S8 is now on Android Pie with custom recovery and rooted (via Magisk).
