You should be able to flash it without problems, c02 must be your carrier

CO2 - vodafone branding
C432- generic (non-branded)

after some reading on XDA it's seams that 432 will become 900, I have first to "unbranded", change from 02 (vodafone) to unbranded 432
I found a tutorial on XDA but only in spanish, does it exist in english ?
thanks

Hello and thanx will it also work for the VNS-L31C02B123 verion .. I have been looking everywhere .. My phone is rooted and unlocked .. Thank you

Hello,
I know this thread is a little old but I have some follow up questions since I'll trying to achieve the same (also have L31C002B125 and would like to upgrade without bricking, if possible).
Where is that Spanish guide you found to unbrand your phone (Spanish is fine by me) from 02 to 432?
I've found several treads that talk about jumping to 161 but with a procedure that doesn't inspire much confidence for me. Something requiring preparing a dload folder with B161, flashing oeminfo/custom.bin for my location (that still is C02 and cannot find any file with that) then realizing the firmware is corrupted (what??) and letting it repair using the dload files via 3keys/dialer code (wich one?)... etc etc. as you see not very noob friendly.
At this moment I have already unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP recovery... Can't I do the usual flash with latest rom as with other phones? To afraid to try. Please help.

First, you need change oeminfo. Flash oemiffo from c432 and other step -flash firmware c432b160 ( dual sim) 161 ( single sim).
Very easy make this is via twrp. Flash zip with vendor and firmware.

Help Requested

Hello everybody,
A few weeks ago i update my P8 Lite from B181 to B550 but i got the Balong bug but since very people said to me that this bug don´t affect the daily use of the phone, i don´t mind with it. But a few days ago, my phone from nowhere start to install a update ( i don´t selected anything) and after the update my phone was tottaly clean, like, no apps, no files, nothing! the phone memory was completly gone!
Now i´m think is better to go back to Stock ROM, but i need help because some people said that install via local update the original firmware works ( i don´t have the option to choose local update like i have in B181 before update) and other people said that the process is a little bit more hard.
So, can someone help me please?
My Phone is locked to Vodafone Portugal (Single SIM). Like a said before update to B550 i was in B181
Thank you everybody and sorry for the bad english :good:
First of all you b550 is for dual sim,you have single sim so you need b551.
Second b550/1 it's stock rom,it's just stock 6.0
Balong bug appears when you flash a firmware that is not for your country so in order to get rid of balong, just flash the file from vendor/custom folder that cames in the archive of your last firmware downloaded.
Is your bootloader unlocked?

Change/Downgrade Firmware from ALE-L21C02B589

Hi,
I want to change/downgrade my firmware to remove Vodafone branding. Can someone tell me what firmware I can use without unlocking/rooting my phone.
Model - ALE-L21
Build Number - ALE-L21C02B589
Custom Version - CUSTC02D001
Network - Vodafone
Thanks
None, all downgrades requiere an unlocked bootloader.
Here's the guide to unlocking the bootloader
http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/unlock/index
Here's the guide to installing EU firmware (C432) (It says UAE but don't mind that)
http://tundevs.blogspot.com/p/huawei-p8-marshmallow.html?m=1
Here's the link to download the necessary firmware
http://huaweifirmware.com/huawei-p8-lite
I followed these to install EU firmware. I had asian firmware (C636) at first. Hopefully it'll work for you too.
Thanks

anything that works on the l31, c432 means it's the european variant
So all L31 variants work? Or is there differences in lte bands lets say like 432 and 185 variants ?
You can flash whatever rom version you want.
As most of us, we've installed vns-l31c185/c636b360(latest version of Nougat) and we don't have bugs or problems.
No matter what oem info it has (oem info is the Variant/region of the phone, like c432 is for Europe, c185 is for mena , c636 asia i guess, correct me if I'm wrong) The version will be compatible with your phone.
I don't know if there is differences between oem info of each region , personally i installed c185b360+ the additional package of c432b328 over c432b161,( i was in mm and went to nougat) and i dont have problems with mobile data.
@simo255
Thanks for the answers. Like i said i currently have rooted L31c432b336 and revolution recovery.
If i want to update b360 should upgrade through dload method or twrp?

Via twrp you can flash nougat without changing oem info. If you want to update via dload you must have the oeminfo of the rom you want to install.( So if you are on C432 you can t flash C185 Ffirmware via dload because you havr c432 oeminfo) but be carefull..there arr lots of bricked devicea.

Sorry to rub it, but I want to be sure because I already had troubles when upgrading to nougat.
But....so in twrp I can just flash the bigger (abt 1.2gb) file and its should work? No need to flash second smaller zip?
I have had Sony devices past 3 year and I have used to flash those

Ive ashed the second file and it gaves me errors
Like i did , flash the bigger size and the additional package, take a look at my thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/nougat-official-firmware-t3512932
I will follow simo225's instructions.
Now I'm beginning to wonder what is the differences between smaller zip and additional zip, because I thought they were the same

Can't remember my stock firmware..?

I was trying out different ROM's, and I forgot my stock firmware version. The phone is bought in Macedonia ( so it must be European, C432 ) and it is a Dual SIM. Can someone help me?
Thank you.
P.S: I'm currently on C432B160 rollback and the bootloader is still unlocked..? I need it go back to LOCKED.

Hello dear,
I don't know if the 'demo' version can be unlocked (bootloader code),
but if yes then you can use @k1ll3r8e's TOOLKIT to rebrand to another region (cust)
like C432 european or C636 asian, etc... you just need the correct files.
Once you rebranded then will be possible to upgrade to nougat via Firmware Finder app
or some other tool/script.
P.S.: What version of p9 lite do you have ? L21-L22-L23-L31-L53 ?
Cheers

Well, i think you can rebrand to the european firmware (C432);
both single and dual sim oeminfo files and matching firmwares (B160&B161) available. (see the attachments below)
But, like a told, you need to unlock the bootloader first.
P.S.: you already risked to brick the device trying by your own,
using the toolkit and doing something wrong could turn the device in a paperweight....beware what you do with your device !!!
Cheers

Dear friend,
I agree with you and completely opposed to paying, but
I believe there are no other ways than giving up a couple of beers and
using DC-UNLOCKER which at the cost of 4 euro reads the bootloader code.
Obviously you only know if it's worth it and definitely remains your choice.
For everything you should / want to do there's a guide you just have to follow.
If you encounter any problems or are unsure about how to do,
you can always meet the community or me in this topic.
I wish you the best !!
