I use LMT to get Pie Controls on my LG G2 with LG G Pro 2 rom, but I can't seem to be able to link any one the pie buttons to Dual Window and Quick Memo.
Dual Window is normally set to Long Press Back, but mapping a pie button's long press to Long Press Back doesn't do anything.
Quick Memo appears in the App list when I use "open App" as the pie control option, but clicking it does nothing.
Is there a way to get these to work through pie controls? I like these functions a lot and it'd be a real bummer if I had to give them up to use pie controls.
I can access Quick Memo through my notification bar, so that's not the biggest problem... If I can somehow use Dual-Window through the notification center that would be an acceptable plan B option.
I have the same problem... Did you find a workaround?
I bought the Huawei Acend Mate7 mobile a few days ago and has used it for one week. Today i saw an article about "Huawei Ascend Mate7 18 Hidden Functions", and i have a try, while finding that there are many wrong ways that can't be operated, for example, No.2, 6, 10 and 16 all can't work well. If anyone also got the Mate7, you can try as below:
1. Press the down volume button under the dark screen, you can make a call after hearing the voice and then saying the name on your address book.
2. Quickly press the down volume button for twice under the dark screen and you can take photos.
3. When pulling down the notification bar, pull from the upper-left to the down is the notice, and from the upper-right is the switch.
4. When pulling down the notification bar, if there is news, there won't be the function of the third one, but the notification bar.
5. You can search the applications directly by pulling fron the middle of the screen.
6. Press the down volume button and power key for long it supports screenshots.
7. Slide upper, no need to unlock, then you can change the wallpaper freely, and save the pictures that you loved. Moreover, you can also open the Calendar, Calculator, Flashlight and Camera apps in a quick by just one touch.
8. When under the magazine locking station, you can enter the music interface by double-pressing the screen, and return to the unlock interface by pressing twice again.
9. Clicking the screen when selfie, it will shoot automaticly three seconds later.
10. Under full focus mode, it support take photos first and then focus.
11. You can take pictures by just pulling down in the gallery.
12. Fingerprint camera supported.
13. Mirror function: Blowing to the microphone, fog will appeared on the screen.
14. Blowing once again, and the screen will be disappeared.
15. Pressing the icons in the notification bar for long, it will enter into the relative setting interface automatically.
16. You can change the virtual key combination of the navigation bar in the settings.
17. It can search the bar codes and the two-dimensional code automatically through the camera, clicking the detail and you can have a campare with both the price and the performance.
18. Pressing the camera screen for long, it support dragging the focus frame and metering box, and can adjust the focus with metering points.

You can also switch between the 2 most recent apps without going into the multitasking screen. Hold down the multitasking/appswitch button on the navigation bar for a second or so and it'll switch to the previous app, pressing again will take you back to the app you just had open
Sent from my HUAWEI MT7-TL10 using XDA Free mobile app
You can make your external SD card the default location for downloads, pics, app data by going to Settings>Storage>Default location>SD card.
Supports NTFS formated disks through OTG adapter out of the box.
PS. My samsung note 2 didn't, whetever I tried when on android 4.4.2 even with custom kernel.
While transitioning some old Apps (FuelLog Pro) from my other Android phones onto my S6 Edge, I discovered that some of the apps needed to use a 'menu' key to backup/export. Obviously no way to add a menu softkey without root, SO I figured out how to do it from ADB.
Once you connect your phone to ADB enter the following command for the 'menu' softkey:
Code:
adb shell input keyevent 82
The 'keyevent' relates to various keymappings, annoyingly, the keymappings for the Samsung are a little different from standard Android, which is why I'm making a record of it here.
So far it looks like HOME, BACK, CALL, and Volume follow standard keymappings. I'll update this list if I spend more time digging and find other differences.
You can find the complete list here:
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/KeyEvent.html
This is super useful for running batch commands on Apps from the computer as well.
Use wisely.
Thanks, can we replace the long press on the recent apps button from dual windows to menu key?
I really don't understand where the problem is with just pressing the menu overlay button?
For old Apps without the new Material UI I always get a round overlay button which is acting as a Menu button.
The new one don't have these as they integrate this button themself.
I have not found any app yet where I'm not able to open the menu.
There is no way (as far as I know) but also no need to replace the long press with the menu button.
Menu button is not needed anymore.
I have several apps that don't have the round overlay Menu button (including the aforementioned app, FuellogPro). Mostly it is apps that were written about 2 years ago that got stuck between KitKat and JB. I have quite a few paid apps, so I keep using them (and modifying them) even after support has ended.
You can only reassign the button to 'menu' if you have root.
Today ugoos team show rockchip lightbiz os in their new firmware based on 5.1.1 android for their RK3288 devices.
In this mode it's look like xubuntu with android buttons.
After activating this feature we see that bottom bar changes its appearance. Now there is a button down left corner that allows you to access application menu. Bottom bar turns into a status bar and we can see opened applications and switch among them. All displayed apps get additional upper bar with 3 common and well known buttons: minimize to tray, extend and close. Extend button allows to choose 3 different sizes. Though some apps don’t let resize your window and turns into book orientation after activating this function.

Hi, i have stock OOS 10 and I am looking for a way to clone the stock camera app (mine is ver 3.0.66) so that i can have a "duplicate" stock camera.
I´m trying to have a duplicate camera so that i can deactivate the main one, thus making it impossible to access it from the lock screen (bottom right corner).
I have tried using App Cloner but the cloned camera doesn't seem to work properly, as some features are not available (such as 1080p 60fps video recording, portrait photos, google lens, and some other settings). I tried playing a little bit with the options but i really have no idea what mos of those are for.
I like the stock camera, it does more than enough for what I want so moving to another one is not an option. Does anyone know how can i properly clone it, or maybe someone can upload a cloned APK ready-to-install?
Thanks in advance!

No interest... Why do complicate when you can do simple
Just use Gesture for Run OOS Cam from the Double Tap bouton ON/OFF
Settings > Button & gestures > "Quickly turn on camera"
(press power button twice for camera)
or
Settings > Button & gestures > Quick gestures > Screeen of Gestures
(Choose a "Draw O/V/S/M/W" shortcut for launch camera, advise the O, gesture is quick and simple)

Thanks, and I'm already doing that, but what I'm trying to do is get rid of the camera shortcut icon on the bottom right corner without having to root. If i disable stock camera, then that shortcut disappears, but I'm left without a camera, and i really like the stock one, that's why i want to clone it with a different package name
