After an update on the phone, when connecting to my cars phone telephone system via Bluetooth, it no longer displays my call logs or any contacts where as before it used to. Also when i get incoming calls, only the number would display and not the name of the caller. When other phones are connected, the feature works perfectly fine. Any ideas?

The contacts on this phone don't sync with my vehicle. On previous phones, even recent previous Android phones (G2 and Vibrant), the contacts would sync on my phone, and I could select the contact from the screen in the car, or use the car's voice dialing, and it would call the person using the phone.
Handfree audio works, as I can use the phone to initiate or receive a call, and it comes through the car's speakers, but the contact sync is not working. I have a BMW, and a quick Google search shows that many others have this issue as well.
Anyone have an idea of a solution? Some talked about HTC not loading all of the Bluetooth features on this phone.

I have a BMW and I have this issue too!
I have my N4 connected to an ATT cordless phone via bluetooth. I can make and answer calls, but if I call a number with a touch-tone menu (eg, voicemail), the tones for the menu responses are not passed through to the connection. If I connect my old Moto E815 to the same cordless phone the same way, the tones pass through and the menus work just fine. Also, if I make the call directly from the N4 (ie, no bluetooth to the cordless), it all works fine too. Any suggestions on how to make this all work?
Hi all,
I have a rather frustrating issue and I am not finding an answer. I drive an old 2007 Seat with an OEM bluetooth that is beautifully handled by the steering wheel and the dashboard.
I have a Note 3 SM-N9005 running Magma NX and I am very happy with it. When I connect the phone to the Bluetooth it only connects as Calls (Not media) and it handles regular calls perfectly. I do however have all my family overseas and rely a lot on whatsapp and skype calls to stay in touch and I drive a lot. When I receive a Whatsapp call, my own number shows in the dash and I can pick up the call and I can talk for a few 10 seconds and the the bluetooth link is lost. The call remains on but the link with the car is lost. I also tried it with a friends unrooted OEM Samsung J5 and the same thing happens.
HOWEVER! My wifes iphone SE does it all, calls, whatsapp and skype, and it is the very first time I am inclined to switch to an iphone, only because of that and I am not liking it.
Can anyone think of a reason why the iphone will handle voip call over the car's older oem BT whereas the android wont? Is there possibly a solution for it? (I am not changing my car or my car's stereo anytime soon)
Many thanks in advance for any pointers!

Something similar happened to me using my stereo's bluetooth feature, but my problem was that I wasn't able to link-pair them at all. I erased the stereo's history of connected and paired devices, I removed the stereo from my paired devices in my Note 3 also and re-paired them from the beginning. It works great after I did that, have you given it a try?
Hi guys,
I've recently switched back to Android to Samsung Galaxy 8. While trying to connect to my car BMW F10 the pairing went well, I've accepted all request of access to contacts, media and everything it prompted for. The phone is working, I have all my contacts available, can listed music over Bluetooth, make a calls, but I can't view my call log. But there is a catch. I can view my call history of calls made from inside a car I mean if I make a phone call through a Bluetooth in my car it'll be stored inside the call log. But calls made when outside a car won't be saved. On iphone I could view both dialed and received call history. Did you have any problem with this?
I have the same problem with my S8 and Mini F56, which has a BMW entertainment and Bluetooth system. I recently paired a Motorola G5 and was able to see the entire call history so it's specific to the S8. I have not yet found a solution.
Same problems here, dial history not loaded from phone to car, but I'm sure it worked before in previous versions LineageOS.
Same exact issue here on my Galaxy A50. Call history for my other devices show up correctly. So, it's definitely a device issue. Was anyone able to resolve this issue?
I have a Ford Fiesta (2014 model, with Ford Sync 1; looks like this) and have had previous phones connected to this system with no issues previously. In fact the last phone connected before my S10+ was an S9+ and it worked great.
But... since I got the S10+ and connected it, I am having a weird issue with phantom calls. Specifically, when I get in the car, start the engine and the phone then finishes connecting over Bluetooth to the car it will make a phone call. However, the phone call is to "Unknown Number" and is completely silent. There is no ring tone, no answer on the other end, and the call does not show up in my Recent Calls screen in the dialler.
I have other Bluetooth devices connected/paired such as a smart watch, speakers and headphones, but the phone does not make this odd call when they connect - only when my car connects.
Appreciate this is a very specific problem with only my phone and the particular variant of Ford Sync I have in my car affected (and even then, only in my car!) but does anyone have any idea what might be going on here or how to stop it?
Thanks

I have the newer sync so I'm not sure but does Sync 1 have the system diagnostic that calls back to Ford? It almost sounds like that because when it called you didn't hear anything or see a number. Although I don't know why it would start with the S10. I guess you completely removed the phone from Sync and repaired it. This might be a good question for one of those Ford Owner Forums if you don't get anything here. I'll be pairing my S10 to my Sync 2 today or tomorrow so I hope I won't run into this.

It has an Emergency Caller function (i.e. if the system detects a crash/sudden impact it will call the emergency services) but I don't think this is what is happening here. I'm usually sitting still when this happens (start engine, systems come online and phone connects, while it's doing that I put my seatbelt on) and the call is completely silent - I thought my radio had lost signal the first few times I did it and then spotted the outgoing call to "Unknown Number" on the Sync screen.
