Best (battery backup/SOT) LP/MM ROM - Xiaomi Redmi 2 Questions & Answers

Hey friends,
I have Redmi 2 (HM2014818). Could you suggest any lp/mm rom which you think has best battery backup/SOT..
And VoLTE activated..(which is not so important but if possible)..

Stick With Stock

No custom rom will give battery backup as good as stock. But if wanna try, try ground zero rom, they have good battery backup.

Resurrection Remix and Mokee have very good battery backup and both are VoLTE enabled.

Search forum page, it's there,

mokee or xiaomi.eu have the best battery performance
tweak with greenify+amplify and blazing performance mod here in xda
tweak governor with kernel adiutor
thats all you can do to have maximum SOT on this device.
the maximum sot i got was 3h:18min with mokee 6.0 + kettle kernel min200-max1200 mhz gpu310mhz+ blazing performance mod.
No games, only chatting and browsing with wifi and location on

really? i also using mokee 6.0, and i got 5h - 5.20 sot ( youtube, dungeon hunter 5, 9gag, instagram, line, whatsapp, path, and talon ( twitter client )).
greenify ( root mode boost + aggresive doze ), amplify, and leave kernel setting as it is ( just turning off MPDecision ), thats it.. no other mod..

damn.. thats really awesome.
No matter what rom and tweaks i install, or lightweight usage in phone, i can't go past 3 hours SOT. Even with a new battery. I will try your settings and see if i got some improvement. Maybe my device is bugged lol

by far mokee is the best for me, as long as i use xposed for greenify, its a good to go..
maybe you have to change your battery, i dont know, just my opinion, goodluck man..

Stock is the best for battery duration or xiaomi.eu roms

The best battery backup is the mokee 6.0.1.! Is unbeatable!!! But lose in performance, hand here presented several lags and slowness.

in all aspects, rr5.7.4 is good enough, including battery backup too

Thanks for all your advices.. As of now I'm using mokee amd it's working great.. Will try RR also..

if you lower your brightness you might prolong battery what are you using now ? and what battery time you got ?

Now I'm using miui 7.5.2.0 global stable. Very good battery backup, SOT 5-6h.

best rom for battery life ?

hi guys ..so far i v tried cm112.1 and ressurection remix latest version rom... cm12.1 was draining 3% of my battery per hour without even touching the phone... the RR from the other hand about 1.1% per hour which is way better . but since im a battery maniac i wanna flash the best rom for battery life ( i dont care so much for performance since all roms have about the same performance , its not noticable in the human eye)... i dont care if its stock based or cm12 based.. i dont care if its 4.4.4 or lollipop. just want the best battery life i can take from this phone whithout having headaches tweaking things over and over again..... tyyyyyyy in advance .... P.S battery is the man's best friend .. dogs aint
Go with stock 4.4. Ofc some people at xda forum say they have the same battery life on cm 12 but the truth is , it doesnt matter if you have 900 mb free ram in cm 12 stock with 400 mb free ram will be always superior.
Theres a few 4.4 stock roms so just choose wich one you like the most
Sometimes with RR I have 600MB free

thats truth i flashed again stock after many months playing with custom ones and i can tell that battery life is much better with stock 4.4.2 and berformance isnt that bad until now....the only thing that socked me not that im so much into numbers and benchmarks but with stock got 16-17 k while with cm12 and RR had around 22k which is a bing difference anyway ill try flashing some stock based roms and ill report ...thanx for the feed back

y i could take up to 700 with rr sometimes which is pretty cool but for average usage i dont think ram is that important since android has to run some apps on the backround to work properly... baterry on the other hand is a must for me . thats why im planning to buy moto x play...not so high end specs but they do the job... that battery tho
Only cm12 that could pair stock in battery and was butter smooth was cm-12-20141227-UNOFFICIAL-s3ve3g.zip
Every update after that would stutter, bad battery, etc...
Stock ROM + Sev3n Kernel with intellidemand governor. Don't use alucard, because it causes stuttering and lag.

How about the comsuption of that rom?
Cheers.
This argument interest me .
The last updates of cm12.1 have a big battery drain. Any suggest?
ICS is best
Currently I tried CM12.1 and RR 5.5.4.
Both have a high consumption. I feel the CM suggested.
RR Rom (5.5.6) tried with @n1kolaa kernel and I was stunned:
Iddle mode: 0.2 - 1% per hour :good::good::laugh:
Screen on mode: Normal drain
With my normal usage, 1.5-2 days (email, fb, viber, whatsapp, calls, data on, wifi on)

Best battery friendly MM ROM?

Anyone has the most battery friendly combination of ROM and kernel? I've tried almost every MM ROM but doesn't satisfy me. I just bought a new battery recently for my D802 and still draining fast. Im using latest bumped twrp. I have never had an SOT of more than 4 hours of normal usage. Now I'm barely getting 3 hours sot and it sucks. So any tips will be appreciated thanks!

I've tried that too. What kernel tweak you use and settings?
I should have mentioned that I have been using the Lambda Domino Stable kernel and the efficiency battery profile. I also use Greenify for doze on the go (aggressive doze).
I use PA with the original Kernel. Battery life is for me like Stock KitKat.

I once use beanstalk and the battery is really fine but when i changed ROM and install again Beanstalk battery was never the same. I don't know what went wrong. I've always used greenify.
Using PA with Lambda Hipnose Beta 9 kernel right now. Using lots of alarm/wakelock blocks etc with amplify and greenify. Battery life seems okay, but I'm asking myself if exodus, beanstalk or resurrection remix would do better? Did anyone try and can make a direct comparison? I care more about battery life than about performance tbh. Thanks in advance!
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Free mobile app
crdroid was great, with aggressive doze !
Currently on XOSP with latest lambda beta. Averaging 4hours SOT from 100 to drain. Basically lasts a day with minimal gaming and mostly web surfing, youtube and facebook. Performance kinda lags but tolerable.

which nougat rom has good battery backup??

????
All of them.
none of them
There is not so much differences between N Roms.
It s mainnly :
the apps you use (Facebook, whstsapps ....)
The brightness
LTE use far more battery than wifi
And you can change governor with script like glassfish, you will notice it will impact the heat of the cpu and then the battery drain

Aicp 13.1 , Maybe you can try stay on stock setting for few days I heard people say it's pretty good.
Another option is if you want more battery use Kernel adiutor to lower cpu max speed down for big and little core. For Aicp 13.1 there is guide from the dev (Mosimchah) on the first page of his kernel tread how to tweak for battery or performance.
LineAge 15.1 also coming together but less customization with stock kernel but it's good too for battery/performance. If you are not on your phone all day should have enough battery.
The best battery life will be with AOKP 6.1 their no ROM better!
The higher you in android the worse your battery life will be I have tried every one.

The original stock is still the best, but you are asking about ROMS.
AICP 13.1 (Oreo 8.1) is by far the best battery life for all the ROMS out of the box that still gives you proper notifications. In the past I have had to install greenify and other power saving tools. I do not have to do that with AICP.
On average I am getting 0.7%/hour drain when screen is off. Screen on time average is around 7 hours.
The ROM is still in testing stages, but it is pretty close to release.

Why is there still no perfect rom.
I tried all of them, none of them fit me ...
I do not want to disrespect the developers.
Aicp and omni are too slow for me. I feel like I'm using a medium and an entry-level phone when I use the device.
The paranoid rom is too fast.
But I have problems. Fingerprints do not work when I'm asleep. I have to try it all the time.
Lineageos aicp and omni talk too bad. (At the time of the call)

I have seen results similar to yours depending on my usage. However, averages are much more realistic than just one time results. I have attached an image of mine over 26 sessions.
Results can different with different users but I have used every ROM plus I have experience in kernel hacking .
I should said I'm not running stock kernel it came with.
Why don't post over night sleep usage mine will go down 1% to 0% 8 hours.
You can't get that in 8.1.
My performance is the same to 8.1.
I miss flew thing that 8.1 has but I'm good performance and battery newer is not always better.

Most roms are similar for functions, for Android 8.1 people like new stuff and the crazy hyped about it. For me personally I just want to try Oreo, want to know what it is like to use it. Aicp 13.1 and LigeAge 15.1 work very well, battery is plenty if you are not on your phone all day.
For battery, it means to be use/discharge that's why phone have it, how long it last just depends how you use the phone. You can't really get two days battery life with Sd820/821, you can get it with Sd625 like Redmi Note4 with 4000mAh battery. Most people carry more than one phone with them nowadays I think so no problem.
Aicp 13.1 is my preferred ROM. Graph starts at 60%. Only mobile data used, and cpu is set to 1.4 for little and 1.9 for big.
@Ace42
Performance at Aicp is much worse with hele CPU underclock.

I may be understood why ''6.01 rom Aopk marshmallow battery'' is good ... ,
with kernel adiutor,
I noticed that maximum high frequency was about 1800Mhz of big core ecc ecc with balance profile.

Best ROM by far
Hey guys. I have been using this ROM for a month now and believe its the latest and most stable based off Leeco stock rom. I get around 5-6 hours SOT on medium to heavy use. That's with both sims on with 4G+ on all day. I have apps running all day like facebook, messenger, instagram, snapchat, skype, whatsapp, google+, outlook, gmail, aliexpress, expressvpn, spotify, teatv, youtube. Also play around 30mins of plants vs zombies and unkilled everyday.
All the features on this Cuoco92 VR4 ROM works flawlessly. Its based off the latest 28s chinese stock rom but all chinese bloatware and text has been removed. Also google playstore is preinstalled and it works without an issue.
Changelog:
- Based on official 28S
- Gapps minimal (02/2018)
- Cuoco Settings with new features
- User-Interface with toggles (check cuoco/Advanced settings)
- Dialer with large caller picture, call recording enabled for all regions, Yellopages removed (check cuoco/Advanced settings)
- Screen colors adjustments to be comfortable under the sunlight
- Updated Magisk to version 5.6.0
- New weather widget
- V4Android preinstalled
- Xposed installer
- DolbyAtmos
- Performance and battery optimizations
- New TWRP RECOVERY 3.2.1
- Removed ads from LeEco apps
- Other fixes
oint_right:__LeEco services are disabed from default. You can Enable it again from my settings.
: If you have any kind of issues, please backup your applications with TitaniumBackup and reset your device (factory reset) from TWRP.__
Factory reset required!
Install instructions
- You need to install rom via TWRP recovery. I am using version 3.0.2.0
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/leeco-le-pro-3-root-t3476560
- make a full backup of existing rom and modem via TWRP before flashing new rom
- i installed my new rom through a usb drive using a OTG connector. Works best for me
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=783366&st=2780#entry69580146
- i am also using this modem configuration as i do not get dropouts and has good signal coverage
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=783366&st=2780#entry69580146
Hope this helps. Please give me some feedback. Enjoy!

Best Rom

After doing a lot of research , I finally rooted , unlocked boot loader and install lineage 14.1 . The only problem is that I'm not even close to satisfied with battery life . Using eui for a few months have spoilt me , getting ana average of 7-9 hours sot . Now I can barely get past 5 .
So what I'm asking is , what's the best stable rom in terms of performance and battery life .

I normally just format everytime
I am using AICP and while it's nowhere near stock I'm pretty happy for an Oreo ROM. I was getting 2 and a half days between charge on modified stock I getting about 30-35 on AICP and about 5-6 hours of SOT
I've been using aicp(Oreo) for around a month.pretty much everything works good.I can usually go 2days between charges with moderate use like listening to music and lots of web surfn.i can easily make it a day+ with considerable increase in usage such as streaming videos and playing games.Im usually going for stock ROMs but the devs of all these custom ROMs have really out done themselves and I don't even feel drawn back to stock at all.
I installed omni yesterday with a custom Kernal going to be testing battery life today

Is this one the lates stable validus build, right?
Have you done any changes on kernel like changing governor and overclock etc? I mean, how do you get this high score on antutu?

Omni is a fantastic Nougat Rom I had fantastic SOT using the he black screen for Omni kernel. ( BlackScreen-omni_3.62.img)
With Oreo I have great battery life and long SOT using in this order Pixel Experience 02/29 build, Lineage 15.1 builds and AICP 13.1 builds

I'm currently on omni , it was great for about a week but now im experiencing weird shut downs at any percentage where it says " 0% " . I reboot the phone and it's fine but if my phone goes under 20% it doesn't charge until I reboot the device
