Samsung keyboard symbol things

Haha I've forgotten the name...
Got my phone today. How do I change the keyboard to show symbols as well as letters (long press letters to be symbols)

The part you edit the features file to say
<CscFeature_Sip_UseSymbolInCMKey>true</CscFeature_Sip_UseSymbolInCMKey>

For this, you must be rooted device.

Why did samsung remove this feature, it was awesome, first SD card from S6, then Air View from S5, IR blaster from S6 edge+, and now this. I thought we were suppose to get new features if we update, but that's turning out to be FALSE nowadays. Samsung need to get back on track.
BTW, anybody figured out any way to activate those secondary symbols without root?

I have root, but unfortunately does not work, it had copied to the following folder:
/system/csc/others.xml

Some international s7s have this already in there csc. I haven't rooted to yet to test... I'm kinda waiting to see where this developers bootloader goes before I destroy my warranty.

Anyone found a solution on the symbols? I have the same issue. It is really annoying not being able to see them The suggested solution (amending the other.xml) does not work.

Just woke up to my AOD being different. I used the large hour with the blue minute and that option is now gone. Is this the version from the note 7?

It is similar to that of the Note 7 but you won't get all the notifications yet. I'm really waiting for the Note 7 features to be on the S7 Edge since this is their only flagship now along with the S7.

It now shows music track info! Works with Google Music, others have said Spotify as well. This is a great unexpected update.

Yeah this update is from the note 7.... But samsung won't just give us all.. There must be something less..!! No notification for third party apps... Why is that Sammy :3

I woke up Friday morning to it automatically updated. I believe you can go to the Samsung app store and manually update it there

Ya hopefully the quick notifications access like note 7 comes through i miss that. This is a great update though

Can anyone post the apk for this. I have been trying to download the update and cant wont have wifi for the next few weeks either.

It doesn't show any of the notifications, I've even cleared cache and Badge Provider cache, still can't get my notifications to show, uninstalled the update, everything works fine.

The system is stable for daily usage unless you don't care about camera and WiFi
And something more I guess. I'm still struggling to find out where everything is hidden
So what's working?
Audio
Bluetooth
Camera
Sensors
Fingerprint
Display and touch
Root (yeah that too) oh Natasha mmm.
Issues
Some screen objects are missconfigured
Some keys might not work as usual (navigation bar) if disable the switch to hide control center recent button will not act on single press.
If navigation bar is enabled control center will not work.
WiFi
NFC (i never use it) and is non existent in firmware (for now)

But I believe N will come but it'd be some way harder if unlucky

Weird cursor

Why do I have this weird looking cursor? It just started 2 days ago. I have also noticed when I get popup notifications on the bottom of the screen, the top left corner is cut off. Any ideas why this started?

Problem still persists after I clear the cache. I guess I'm just going to have to deal with it, as it's not a big enough problem to warrant a factory reset and have to reinstall everything.

You can always try to flash stock firmware and see if this will help.
