Install TWRP and then get a new kenel for your device and Android version. Most community kernels work better Googles

Unfortunately I don't have the device yay have I have the older generation. But paranoid android 5.1.1 and Franco's kernel, those give a nice lollipop experience or you can go paranoid with 6.0 but I don't know if Franco updated his kernel for your device.

That's true. But the Nexus 7 is the best Android device I've ever owned. Ran it stock unrooted for a few days, and then unlocked, rooted and flashed Sinless ROM (after making a nandroid backup, of course.)

Rom recommendation

I have a g900f currently running cyanogenmod 12.1 but find that after a few weeks of installing it it slows down so looking for a recommendation for another role I can try.
Looking mainly for performance from The rom and need to use it for work too.
Thanks Bart

because it works 100% like stock rom (included fingerprint) with Android 5.1.1, xposed and like S6 Edge.
It works smooth and very well over BOJ1.
I do a full nand backup, intalled the BOJ1 and after, the TW.

Nougat Beta

Just enrolled my nexus into the nougat beta program, but my question is probably a stupid one. I'm going to assume that in order for me to get the nougat update that I have to be on a stock or close to stock ROM ? Currently I'm on the latest resurrection ROM with MTC20F vendor IMG.
I apologize for my stupidity...

You need to be stock to install OTA updates

6p 7.1.2 update installation problem

Hi, I'm running stock Android 7.1.1 (N4F26O) on my rooted Nexus 6p with twrp installed. I just got the android 7.1.2 (NPF05F) Beta update. I tried installing it with flashfire. Flashfire kept stopping at 7%. Is there any way I can install the update without losing root
Sorry for bad english.

Same here. Mine crashes while uncrypting at 22%.
I am also experiencing this issue.
Try removing root, go back to a completely stock rom - wait for 7.1.2 then download it. Let the phone update to 7.1.2 without using flash fire.

Obviously that will work. But we aren't trying to lose the ROM, kernel, recovery, root for a beta

Everyone needs to calm down and wait! If you are not willing to go back to a full stock build, just wait until someone creates a flashable zip version. This is nothing new here. Factory ota's rarely if ever are comparable with aftermarket kernels, recoverys or root.
