s7 edge stays on only when plugged to charger - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi guys, i have an s7 edge that stays on only when i plug it to charger...if i try to turn on after the "samsung s7 edge" logo shutdown...if i turn on connected to charger or in download mode stays on. The phone is 2 months old, never fallen...i have tried the update to nougat with smart switch and the wipe data from recovery, don't know what else i can try, any ideas?

What does the battery indicator say?

I can charge the phone to 100% with no problems with original charger, another charger, PC and wireless charger with no issues
Everything is normal until i unplug the cable

In download mode stays on unplugged. In recovery shutdown when unplugged

[Q] Atrix won't boot if plugged in...?

When on battery power, it boots just fine. But if I plug it in, it shows the moto boot screen, and stays on it forever - and while it's on that screen, the battery isn't charging. I have to unplug it, take the battery out, then boot up without plugging it in. That itself isn't a problem...just a pain.
The problem is when my battery is too low to boot without plugging it in. I can't boot it up on battery power, and I can't charge the battery by plugging it in.
I finally got it to work by borrowing a friend's wall-mounted external battery charger and got the phone up and running. But what the hell do I do for next time?
Also, I installed CWM and it doesn't work, ironically, because CWM requires power to boot into recovery, and my phone won't boot at all when plugged in. The normal recovery has never worked on the phone, since its unboxing, and I'm starting to get pissed about this lack of recovery. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Are you using a USB port to charge?

I've tried USB and a wall charger. When plugged into USB, it turns on but will not enter CWM still. When connected to a wall charger, it stays at the Moto screen forever, charging.
When the phone is switched off and plugged to the wall charger you need to do a long press on the power switch till you will see the Motorola logo again. Once the phone is fully booted it will start charging again (still plugged to the wall charger of course).

[Q] Nexus4 dead - plugged, not charging

When I plug charger LED blinks for a second and turns off, when I charged battery manually by putting the cables to V+ and V- for 5minutes the system booted, battery was at 20% and shows device is plugged in, but it's not charging it actually. While device stayed on cable for all night it was still 20% in the morning but as soon I disconnected it and battery went to 18% I plugged it back, after 2 hours it was still at 18%. system recognizes charger but not charging. I've also changed cable, adapter, replaced USB port and battery, but that didn't work. Now I have empty battery and it won't turn on for charging even in bootloader mode, as soon I turn recovery mode on it, device turns off and won't turn on again.
What's wrong? Is it motherboard problem and will repair cost more than new device?
Ok, seems the issue resolved when I disassebly phone completely and reassembled it, weird and a signal for phone replacement I guess.

[HELP] Phone stopped charging, red light blinking.

I had put my 1.5 year old redmi 3s prime for charging last night and gone to sleep, it had 4% charge and i woke up to find it was 16% and not charging. I then changed my charger and cable but no avail. I then cleaned the charging port to see if that was the problem still no use. I saw couple of youtube videos n then unplugged n re-plugged my battery to see if that was the issue but my phone wasnt turning on, so i left it for plugged to the charger a couple of hours more but it wasnt charging. Then i rebooted it into recovery (power + volume up) and ran a few tests for which i have attached the screenshot. I live in a place where there is no Redmi service centre so i have to fix it myself. I would like some help to figure out if its the battery or the charging port faulty.
Now when i try to turn of the phone the only thing i get is a red light blinking. Also I used a friends phone cable to charger my phone sometime back and now his cable isnt working as well.
Try To Reflash Rom Or Try Offline Charging If You Using Custom Kernel Make Sure USB Fast Charging Is Off If Not Then Turn It Off And Then Try..

a5 i had same issue on another a5!!

a5 2016 when powered off and i plug cable to charge phone shows battery thunder symbol but not charging, maybe the cable bad? but sometimes work fine when powered off and i put charge the usb cable in wall charger. now another phone powered off, and i put the charger, same ISSUE not see battery 0% but battery boot and not charged. when i reinsert the cable started charged. this happen with two phones same ( a5 2016) sometimes battery not charging it stopped at 70 or random number. i leave it in night so when i wake up i see 93% charging. and not fully because i dont reinsert cable in to the phone. i dont know maybe the another cable dont do that how cable did this issue, not charging when powered off, when reinsert it start charged. and i forgot mention the cable which i use in the phone which not start charged sometimes when i got 0% it start charged when i reinsert so this cable dont recognized to the pc. it shows error when i plugged two phones or another phone not a5 so the cable bad? how the magic trasnfer issue to another a5 when phone without defect issues!. strange. so what you opinion? cable bad?
i forgot mention even when phone charging power off the cable loose connection not on power was phone. i wake up and see powered off not nothing happened not light screen to see fully charged . its off. when i reinsert cable was battery 97% not 100% so the cable lost connection random even when powered off charging. so 100% cable bad? because its stopped sometimes charged at random percent and sometimes charged fully
