I am using s7 edge. When i open camera app the preview button opens up every single picture on my mobile instead of just opening the camera folder. Can anyone help me to fix this as i don't want this to happen.
The second thing i don't like about nougat is its multiwindow feature. The one on Marshmallow was so good and easy to use. Nougat has a very complicated one. Any ways to add MM multiwindow feature on a custom rom?
Use a different Camera app since I would assume the function is hardcoded in it. If you've rooted maybe a downgrade to the MM Camera app may help. Are you sure the behaviour was different before?
What don't you like about the multiwindow feature? Maybe better downgrade to Marshmallow?!

Got used to the multiwindow. But the second problem is with the gallery app itself. I tried downgrading the gallery app but it didn't opened on the nougat.
Looking for someone who can port the app to work on nougat.

Hey Guys, Somehow I have managed to delete the app for my generic camera app that comes with my galaxy s phone.
I do have lots of other great camera apps but Im really keen on this one and cant find it anywhere.
Any help to find the.apk or the name of the app would be great.
ok not sure about the stock app but sgs tools will allow you to install a couple of modded ones including one that is the stock version but will allow you to disable goe tagging (which I cannot believe the stock app doesn't allow kinda pissed me off when I first realised that) and also take pictures when in call or low battery scenarios.
It MIGHT even reinstall the stock app but I am not 100% sure on that one
Does anybody have the stock camera app apk? I really don't want to have to reflash my phone as it is set up how I like it and am really liking the stock+root - debloated w/ launcher setup as of now. The problem is that the stock camera isn't working, once it goes on, it becomes unresponsive and won't take pictures.
I have been using the Google camera, but I am missing features of the stock one and always prefer to use the camera app that was created around the hardware.
I was wondering if anybody had a link to the stock camera app so I could reflash it and replaced the old, broken one. I have tried to clear data and it still gives me the same issues.
Thanks!

Hello, does the camera work in marshmallow? I just flashed one ROM but the camera does not work, it just crash......can someone please suggest me a mm ROM with working camera?
Thank you very much
I think Beanstalk's camera works.
It should work an almost all MM roms. If it's not working, it's most likely a permission issue. Go to app settings and enable all permissions for the camera app, after that the camera should work out of the box.
Install the Google camera app 2.5
The older camera 2.0 doesn't work at all in MM.
I use this camera app called (Camera M)

Self comment: I did some tests and had initial problems with this camera, maybe due to dirty OS update. In particular the camera app just terminated whenever I touched the trigger. After opening the settings and changing some of them the camera worked well.
Well in the end i had to go back to KitKat.....used parrotmod, fstrim on marshmallow....nothing worked to fix the terrible lag that i was having, even after trying many mm roms the situation was terribly worse then KK.....now the tablet is pretty smooth again on Slimkat full f2fs + fstrim....best combo for speed

I stupidly updated the stock camera app via apkmirror and it must've been for a different phone as my camera app now looks like in the screenshot below.
How do I fix this? How do I revert back to the official nougat camera app?
If the new camera updated the stock camera, go into your application manager (in the Settings), find the camera and disable it.
After a prompt, it should uninstall the updates and leave just the stock camera.
Reenable after its finished, and you should be good to go.

It's just that it was huge compared to normal compare the screenshot below to the original one and you'll see. (View pictures fullscreen on your phone to see it clearly)
Hi there!
I flashed the ResurrectionRemix rom, but the stock camera app that comes with it does not seem to allow changing the aspect ratio and resolution (we were several people to look into it and did not find the option).
Then, I installed CameraMX, but it bugs a lot with panorama, and cannot switch to front camera (when I click the button to switch, it says on the back camera).
Because, at least in my memories, the stock camera app of the OP5 was near perfect, I'd very much like to install it in place of these 2 bugged camera apps that I have now.
Is it possible to do this?
Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the reply! I'm gonna try that
However, am I not in the "apps" forum?
