If your phone was properly unlocked then flashing the firmware shouldn't effect it

Hi all,
I have unlocked bootloader, stock image but no root (was planning on selling it).
I haven't received the OTA yet.
Will the update make it through or do I have to relock the bootloader??
Thanks
OTA update process is long. In Nexus 7 tablets who have locked bootloaders are the same. That is normal.
So i guess it doesn't matter if it's locked or unlocked?
Thanks again
Hello, I tried to update by #*#* secret menu to B361 by downloading update from this site: hwmt.ru
unfortunately the update stops at 7% and phone restarts to current version.
I have a C150 variant that I bought at T-Mobile (Croatia)
Do i have to debrand it (to eu version) in order to successfully upgrade the phone?
If yes, that means that i have to unlock the bootloader which probably cancels the varranty. Is there an alternate option? Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I have rooted P10 Plus L29. Currently, it is on B133 and I want to update to B162. I did some research on how to update and found several methods (Link ).
I used HWOTA method when I update from B131 to B133 but unfortunately the bootloader is locked again after updated. To unlock bootloader, it will wrap all data from the device.
So, I just curious about the other method whether it will lock bootloader or not. Any suggestions on this?
Imho it is not possible to update without relocking bootloader.
Is it safe to update from Nougat 7.1.1 with bootloader unlocked to oreo without softbricking the device or do I still have to lock the bootloader and then update?
Thanks in advance.

I have a G950F unrooted and with stock Pie. Is it possible to downgrade to Oreo ? Of course I'm keen to root and unblock the booloader

Depending on what firmware version you are on. Due to bootloader(binary) versions increasing you cannot downgrade to a previous version, only a previous version with the same bootloader number or a higher version.
Basically if you on version 5 (bootloader/binary) you won't be able to downgrade to Oreo.
The only way is if there is a custom rom that has an Oreo favour to it.
You can still root on pie.
