This is not brick ... when you root your phone you triggered the knox to 0x1 and there is no cure for this now
u want to update phone using OTA method is it? over the air method right? if yes simply flash ur firmware using odin then u will back to stock status and get updates from ota. hope that helps. once knox counter move up to 1, for now u cant get it off.
Hey, I just bought used Note4 N910F model for very cheap price - 230 euros. Phone used just about 5 month from buying, I have warranty paper to prove and IMEI on warranty paper is the same as on behind phone battery but... Seller told me, that warranty was voided because, he got some virus that blocked his phone, then he went to not authorized service and flashed ROM but IMEI changed.... and know KNOX settings not opening, on phone info from google play says Knox warranty void: 0x1. when trying OTA update I get error that phone was modified unauthorizaded way and cannot update. So is there any way to flash stock with original IMEI and I can get KNOX settings working and OTA updates :/ and noticed that TWRP recovery was installed... maybe some wipe could restore IMEI? and when booting I can see "set warranty bit: kernel" yellow sentence on top of screen
Knox will not work anymore, you can install stock firmware trough odin. Go to sammobile and flash latest stock

stock firmware should restore my IMEI or not very possible ? :/
Problably will
Got my S7 yesterday, played around with root, and decided to go with a stock experience for the time being so I can use Samsung Pay and MST (blasphemous, I know). I used ODIN to restore back to stock, verified KNOX counter wasn't tripped, and went on setting everything up.
I installed Samsung Pay and launched, only to run into the access denied message you would see if you were attempting to open it with a rooted device. Any thoughts as to what could be happening?

I would make sure you followed the return to stock instructions in psouza4 thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039). I flashed through odin yestererday and took the pf2 update that was available when I was done. I am able to install and access Samsung pay. What all did you flash in ODIN?

Resolved! Actually, it was my strict adherence to the instructions that led to the issue - the instructions only tell you to flash AP, CP, and CSC back down to PE1. Which was fine and dandy, but my BL remained at PF2, which is the reason why I had issues loading Samsung Pay. I was afraid that I had either tripped the mythical physical e-fuse somehow, or my phone was blacklisted from Samsung Pay servers - fortunately this was not the case! Once I updated everything back to PF2, Samsung Pay was able to load.

Sorry but there's no method at this time to reset Knox back to 0x0. The method of root that was posted here wouldn't trip Knox which is why when flashing back to stock they are able to use Samsung Pay again.
how to trip that knox again? and how to check knox state? I had installed stock samsung s7 edge India ROM latest but now smart tutor apps is gone (that i intalled from playstore) and samsung pay is not working
Hi!
I was not aware of this issue before I rooted my Galaxy A5 2016. Android 7.0
To unroot it Ii install the latest firmware using Kies but after that I wasn't able to use Knox.
It shows this error when I try to open Knox
"My Knox cannot be installed because unauthorized software has been installed on your device."
Please help me to fix this...
No way to return back.
"Your device has been rooted. Samsung Pass cannot be used on rooted devices for security reasons."
I use any root check app, but all say that mmobitel isnt rooted.
