Hey all, sorry for the newb question but how can I install the new December security update on a stock rooted pure?
I just got the ota pop up today but haven't tried anything. It's been a while so having a brain fart on how to update with a rooted phone and all that.
Thanks for any feedback. Once someone mentions it I'm sure it'll all come back to me (I hope).

Hello,
I flashed my phone to CM7 Version 2.3.2 and I love it. I have a question thu about tmobile sending an update to the phone.
Meaning, when tmobile decides to do a version update will it screw things up on my phone and if yes...how do I turn off version updates???
Thanks so much guys
Brian K
You shouldn't get any OTA updates with a custom ROM that isn't stock based.
ok...so to be clear. Your saying cause I already flashed my phone with CM7...that there is NO chance it will receive a update from tmobile....correct?
And thanks for taking out the time.

Hi all,
Just received my G2 from warranty exchange from my Note 2 breaking, and I would like to go further with it!
I'm currently on 4.2.2 JB, and was wondering where I could find a link to get to 4.4.2 rooted? Is there a way to unroot (This is important incase I need to send it back).
I've seen a few threads, downloaded two kdz files, but just wanted to check if all I needed to do was flash that and that's all?
Thanks in advance!
You can just upgrade your phone (officially) and then root it afterwards by IOroot.
It's way too easier than the kdz method.
Also try to write a better title for your post.( No offence)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I realised after reading it again, the title had no context xD Sorry!
I can't upgrade officially since the EE UK OTA update isn't out yet

Has anyone received the 60 mb update released by Motorola to fix the ram issue n apps getting killed issue?
Motorola loves #US ignoring Indians :/
That update is for Lollipop,
I think we will get update of Lollipop along with that fix (I mean may be we will get build 22.21.16 directly). And Motorola don't ignore India(ns).

I have the build 22.21.16 and the memory management bug still exists. I received no 60mb update yet so far.
I received lollipop through soak test in India and Motorola is planning to release another version of lollipop (maybe 5.0.1) soon again for the soak test members. I hope that fixes our memory management bug!

did you also face any such problem while registering?? if so what did you do to rectify it?
can u please help me with the same?
thank you.

Of course dude... I did that in there.. And waited for almost two days for the network to recognize the phone. I also kept the location settings reporting at high accuracy. Even then the phone does not appear in my stuff.
So my question to you is, did something similar happen to you. Did it take few days for your phone to appare in my stuff of the Motorola account.?
fools rush in
Never install the update as soon as it arrives , give it a few weeks to see how it runs .
I remember the official 4.3 update on my galaxy s3 , it made the phone unusable for months until they released a patch for it
No, you're not annoying me.

Well, it appeared as soon as I added it.
But don't worry. You're not the only one having the problem. I saw in the Motorola Forums that some more people are having the same problem.

oh ok thanks for the info dude.
no, here stock base is 4.4.4, i'm running bazril soak test 5.0 now.
Hi everyone, this is just a simple question:
How many of you think about the delay of the N update is because MAYBE Motonovo are updating to 7.1.1 intead 7.0?
'cause has been pass a week (maybe 2) and we don't have news about the update. My MXF is from iusacel and i don't receive (yet) the upgrade, this forum (or others) don't have even the Update.zip to flash 7.0.
Greetings
If this is true:
https://www.oficinadanet.com.br/post/19231-android-nougat-chega-para-moto-x-force-no-brasil
I would say 2-4 weeks and I think we'll get only 7.0
no 7.1.1 for us - which is sad, because even Moto X Play gets 7.1.1 ... hmmm
Today I received the 7.0 on my unlocked Moto X Force (AT&T México) and like @capedukewuhaha said, it's sadly the end of the line for this device (at least officially, of course).

I did not understand. Do you want to restore the backup 6.0 in order to test the modem operation?
I just want to know if in order to restore 6.0 I have to only restore my backup via TWRP or would I have to also flash proprer modem afterwards?
I have x force xt1580 reteu what i have to so?
