Title about sums it up. I used Pandora as an alarm clock, but since upgrading to 7 it doesn't work. Timed events in Tasker don't seem to be working either. The built-in alarm clock does work though. Suggestions?

Has anyone had the problem where the alarm on the alarm clock rings a single time and them stops ringing?
I have the checkbox in the control panel checked for repeat sound yet it seems to have started only ringing once (which is really annoying if you're a heavy sleeper).
Any help would be appreciated.
Yeah, I have that too. The only thing I've found it to be sure your reminders are on and it will remind you in a few minutes that you missed your alarm. Unfortunately the reminder tone will play at the end of your alarm tone as well so I picked a reminder that sounds OK with my alarm....
Hopefully someone will have a better solution.
p.s. I've noted that if attached to external power the alarm will repeat but if not, it won't. Seems it sleeps right after the alarm if alarm sounds when screen is locked and won't wake to continue the alarm.....
I suspected it was a power saving method but it's a pretty lousy method if it breaks the primary usage.
I decided to install a 3rd party alarm clock called Klaxon. It's free and it works great.

I had that problem too. The problem is the alert plays and then there is a long pause, up to 5 mins I've seen, then plays again. Sometimes it doesnt play again, which is bad. I've never seen a fix for it. I use an app called gAlarm which is 100 times better. It can over ride the built in sense alarm so you can see it on your home screen.
I found an alarm app called Klaxon which is free. Its a lot better than the stock alarm and you can set song as the alarms, & you can set a time to play the song ( I do 10 minutes) and if nothing happens after that 10 minutes it snoozes which you can set the time for that also.

Just got my S5, came from a Droid Charge (which, after getting community radios from XDA I loved quite a bit for years) and am having some issues with the alarm clock. Thankfully I still set my alarm on my Charge as a backup or I would have been late for work this morning. The issues are as follows:
1. Smart alarm just doesn't seem to work? I have the exact same settings on my S5 as I do on my Charge (albeit with different tones) - Alarm Type: Sound, Alarm Tone: Serene Morning, Snooze: Off, Smart Alarm: On (3 minutes, Beginning of Life). Yet when I set my alarm it goes off exactly at the time it was set for (unlike on my Charge where the smart alarm would start 3 minutes earlier and crescendo) and just plays the alarm tone.
2. The alarm just turns off at 1 minute and never rings again? I guess this is working as intended as my gf says it works this way on her S3 as well, but really? what a terrible design for an alarm?
Think I'm going to find a third party app unless anyone else has a suggestion?

Enable "Sleep" on your alarm and you must choose "Zz" instead of "X" when your alarm rings.
I´ve tested here and it´s working well, with no issues.

I have recently had an alarm go off at random times on my rooted / debloated G900v running OptimalRom / Nova Prime. I am not sure what is causing it and there are no notifications or pop-ups allowing me to stop it. I am forced to either mute my phone or restart it.
On top of that, I haven't had a working alarm since I installed my first ROM some weeks ago. I tried enabling/disabling snooze and yet, no matter what, my alarm automatically stops ringing after 3-4 seconds of playing. It has been unreliable and doesn't wake me up in the morning.
I haven't found a clear answer as to why either are happening. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone else is having alarm issues? I got the s7 last weekend and I work night shift so I set my alarm for 2:50pm. Everyday it goes off at 2:30 but with a different alarm tone.
nope. mine goes off daily at 630 on the dot.

Make sure there's not a conflicting app that changes things! I was using audio manager pro https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartandroidapps.audiowidget&hl=en
for a while. After the Marshmallow update.....forget it. It would reset my notification sounds every time it was active from the toggles I set up. Drove me up the wall for a couple of weeks because I couldn't figure out why the phone was doing that.
Some apps have a setting for the ringtone and if left at "default" it may actually pick up the actual original default of the phone, not anything you set as default. That's what this app did. Basically, for me- what was happening was every time the app to scheduled the sounds to be at a certain volume, as soon as it would change back, it would reset to the default sound.
I went one by one uninstalling apps to see if it persisted, if so, I'd reinstall an app, then go on to the next with the same process. I lucked out and found it after a few apps which was causing it. I ended up switching to Volume Control https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=netroken.android.persistfree&hl=en and it does everything the audio manager pro app did that I wanted and more.
(for the record, I wanted a widget that showed the levels, single toggle widgets for certain levels like mute, off, low, loud, as well as scheduling multiple time frames for different days to have the sounds at certain levels),
Anyway- point is, it could be in an app that you have that manages the sounds or alarms or something of that nature....you might think about checking to see if it impacts things by the uninstalling/reinstalling process until you narrow it down.
