Hello,
i have some Problems with my Nexus 7, installed Timurs Kernel.
-When i try to connect my N7 with my PC it doesn't Work. The N7 is just loading But it is not recognized as ''memory'' so i cannot drop files on it. Thats my biggest problem and i really need to fix it.
-When i turn on the OTG Mode, the N7 stops charging, i really dont know how to fix it?
-When i want to turn the deep sleep mode on, i have to open first the power event manager to turn deep sleep mode on, how to fix that?
I have a Video Encoder, and i want to connect a rear view camera to my N7, how to make the N7 starting the backup camera when i insert the reverse gear? Which App is needed?
So, i hope you understood me well. Hope someone can help me with my problems.

Hi, yesterday I had my nexus 7 charging, when I checked after a couple of hours, I noticed it was fully charged, but the wifi icon was white and "empty" instead of blue and "full", so I went to disable the wifi and enable it again, but it got stucked at "turning on wifi".
Mine is on 4.2.1 and it's rooted, but with the google factory rom, and clockwork recovery. I reset the nexus, same issue, so I reset the nexus again and went to the bootloader and wiped the cache, got the same, so I did a factory reset and got to the setup screen, chose the language and it goes to select wifi and it's still stuck at turning wifi on, and I can pass that screen, is there a way to fix it? is my wifi radio toasted? I need help and I searched on the forums for something like this and I could not find anything, any help will be appreciated.
anyone? I need help with this.
Sounds more like a hardware problem than a software problem, although on a different device (android phone) I could get similar symptoms to appear after fooling around with certain WiFi tether apps. At least one difference between that case and this one though, was that I was able to always clear the problem up with a reboot.
You might be able to get more insight by looking at "dmesg" output or possibly a dumpstate report.
Turn WiFi off, reboot, capture dmesg output, turn WiFi on (fails), capture dmesg output again. (Point of the first capture is only to get approximate starting time of the WiFi fail time - the dmesg timestamps are in seconds since boot, not UTC or local TZ)
good luck
Hey guys...so maybe I'm not doing it right.I've purchased the 32 GB device and everytime I connect it to PC no matter if USB debbuging is selecyed ot anything else I cannot for the life of me create new files or transfer files into device. I usually get an error message saying..the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.?? What gives? I've decided to download wifi file transfer but what should i do? Ive just rooted the device and problem existed even before then.

AirDroid tends to work better than that MTP c**p, especially for larger files.
Also I noticed MTP tends to be a bit buggish if the device goes to sleep (ie: screen turns off) especially if you use a lock (pattern lock etc).

Yeah buddy but the problem is i can't copy anything wether on MTP or the other. It won't let me. So it seems my only option is these over wifi transfers? System always gives me an error message everytime I try to make a new file or copy and paste one. Only way I see the drive is if the system in under camera mode (can't remember which one that is right now) but yeah...the other mode won't show the drive and in "camera mode " there is nothing I can do.
So I've had my Nexus 4 for almost a year now and somethings I've just lived with because I passed them off as insignificant. However, with my one year warranty from Google expiring soon, I was wondering if I should get my Nexus 4 replaced/if I have legitimate problems?
Note: I'm running Stock 4.3 with root/unlocked bootloader.
1. Is anyone else's Nexus 4 not recognized sometimes via USB?
Most of the times when I connect my Nexus 4 to my PC via USB the Nexus 4 is not recognized so I have to unplug and then replug it in and then its recognized. I'm not sure if this is a software issue or a problem with my computer?
2. During/After taking a photo, my Nexus 4's camera will start making a crackling/rattling sound.
Is this normal?
3. During a call, my Nexus 4 turn the screen black/off when I hold it up to my ear, but when I move it away the phone will sometimes remain off/black screen forcing me to toggle the power button off/on.
4. Wifi disconnects randomly.
There are times, albeit infrequent, when my Nexus 4 will disconnect from Wifi for no apparent reason. Sometimes it will soon reconnect but most of the times I have to toggle Wifi off/on.
Software issue. Is this normal? I've noticed this since 4.2 and still with 4.3.
So are these problems normal, or is my Nexus 4 just starting to get old/deteriorate?
I don't know about those other bugs, but the connection issue sometimes rears its head for me when I have USB-Debugging on.
Usually I only turn it on when i'm using a Toolkit as these sometimes need that, and when I forget to turn it off, the phone is sometimes not recognized correctly and I can't access the internal drive.
Try that, maybe it'll help.

Just tried turning off USB Debugging and the problem still occurs.
For the screen not turning on, see if you still have the original screen protector on. Sometimes that would cause an issue with the proximity sensor

I took off that screen protector a long time ago lol. I did but on a new screen protector so maybe that is it? Also does no one have the camera issue? I thought that was prevalent with all Nexus 4s, but is it just mine?
few days ago during phone calls the screen started to black out - after 1 hoursof first blackout, screen started to show weird behavior, screen was being touched on random areas - i turned on show touches from dev mode and it showed random multi touches on top right corner of scree. after few minutes the screen turned black and since then i havent seen any sort of display on my note 3. i tried.
1. removed battery - let it rest for 15 minutes - connected back - phone turned on fine i could hear all sounds and notifications even receive calls if i swiped at correct screen area, However no display
2. tried to access the phone in adb but it wont show in devices even though usb debugging is enabled and all samsung drivers are correctly configured.
3. made backup of all the files on phone using kies.
4. Rooted the phone and tried to access recovery mode but vol up + home + power just turns on the phone.
5. currently the phone connects to pc as a media device with usb debugging enabled.
i think if i am able to flash firmware again it might resolve the issue, but so far i haven't been able to find latest stock builds that i can flash using odin since i cannot do anything in recovery mode (no display)
Can someone guide me on how i can get the display back ? is there any way to access the screen using a standalone pc app without the need to install any app on the phone ? can it be hardware related issue ? the phone never dropped, im a very careful user. screen is scratchless and phone is in perfect condition physically. Any help or guidance will be appreciated.
PS. Its my first time posting a thread on a forum, i hope i didnt break any rules. I searched alot on forums for someone having similar situation.

2. To access via adb you have to grant the permission, once you connect phone in adb with developer mode (usb debugging) enabled, a pop-up will come asking for granting permission., once you grant then only you can acces it in adb mode.
*Sorry buddy, i don'y know about any app that can "access the screen using a standalone pc". (Google for it, You may found)
I guess it must be hardware issues,
But you can try out this:
Download the latest firmware from SamMobile or from SamsungUpdates website, and flash using ODIN.
Before downloading firmware make sure you download the correct firmware for your region (CSC)
If didn't worked, it must be a hardware issue.
Sorry.
Phone was in usb debugging mode before screen disappeared, now i cannot see the device in adb mode maybe because i need to change the connection mode to mtp, i cant do that , theres no display :S
So, my N4 fell this week and the touch stopped working. Due to the cost of fixing it, I decided that I'm not going to fix nor sell it. Then I got the idea of keeping it and using it as some sort of amazon echo-like device, using Google now for tasks.
But there's a problem: the WiFi (as well as mobile data) is off, and I can't make it turn on.
Obviously I tried to simply say "OK, Google, turn WiFi on" but that doesn't work, as all I get is a message that there's no connection.
I did some research and saw that is possible to turn on via adb, but USB debugging is off, so that doesn't work (for what I understood at least, I'm not exactly a pro I'm this stuff).
That's basically it, I'm wondering if anyone has any idea for a workaround for turning the WiFi on.
Anyway, thanks in advance for the help.
Some extra info: I'm running 100% stock 5.1.1 (I think, not sure what the latest update number was), not change to bootloader either.

You can setup tasker to automatically turn on WiFi or WiFi hotspot on boot.
Also, if you have a windows PC you can control a phone with a broken touchscreen.
