Although the sound level and qualitybis streets ahead of any HTC devicenive tried I still find the volume a little low in some apps.
The desire HTC can be improved with an app called dsp manager and it makes a difference. Anyone know of anything that will increase the volume output level of the nexus s?
It's a while since I had hold of a galaxy s but I seem to recall it being louder than the nexus s.
You will have to wait for cyanogen to bring that audio app over to the nexus s. I'm sure it will happen soon.
There was an awesome app for galaxy s called audiobooster.. dunno if it can be ported tho
I was just going to post the same question. On my old Samsung I8910 I was able to tweak the volume by going into service menu by pressing *#0002*28346# and you could carefully change the audio settings for speaker, headphones, bluetooth etc. Is there such a thing in Android operating systems that you can go onto service menu of the phone and change the limits? The existing volume is really low for my ears, sitting in the crowded restaurant I can't hear the other caller.
I also tried Samsung utilities application test by pressing *#0*# not working on this phone. Anybody can help? I don't want to wait for any apk. or root. Phone has really low volume, period. Samsung please fix it.
Carlito are you referring to the in built loud speaker it the earpiece volime not being loud enough? I was referring to the speaker but I haven't tried making a call yet so can't comment on the volume of the earpiece.
As above I guess we just have to wait for a fix from the devs.
S4 has this freaking pop up message showing that turning volume up with headphones can damage user's hearing after a certain level. Since S4 has rather low volume output for headphones, it's really annoying that I have to take the phone out of a pocket and press OK.
Can anyone help me on either this, please?

I am loving this phone but I think the sound volume on bluetooth headphone is low. I am not sure how it is with wired headphone though. There was a mod which modiefies mixer_paths.xml made for S5. I compared the files of s5 and s5 neo but they were quite different. Does anyone know what attribute to change in that file to increae the headphone voulme?
Hello, I have a samsung galaxy s3 neo rooted and I want to change all the sounds. I have already change the charger connexion sound, the shutter sound and the low battery sound. I want to change the keyboard sound, the volume sound, the lock and unlock sounds and (if possible) the shutdown sound.
