Good morning everyone, can anyone help me?
My smartphone: huawei mate 8 nxt-al10C00B577, android 7, emui 5.0, not root.
I have installed Tasker automation program. When it has to launch bluetooth it always requests permission; If I do not pulse it on the screen it rejects it in 15 seconds. I need it to launch bluetooth without asking for permission.
Thank you very much.

Hi anuska,
I have the same problem with my AL10 and Tasker. I hope somebody have a solution.
Hi, Yannnes
The problem is not in Tasker. I have tested with other automation programs and the exact same thing happens; Therefore, the problem is in Mate 8 (surely some parameter or adjustment that we can not find ...)

I installed an xposed module named "No bluetooth prompt for lenovo". It did bypass the bluetooth permission prompt on my Huawei Honor Note 8.

Hi guys,
I have activated Google Smart Lock from Google Settings app, and yet it doesn't seem to work on my Meizu MX5.
Do you have any idea why wouldn't it work? Maybe it has something to do with permissions?
Since I first got my Meizu MX5 I've been experiencing issues with push notifications. It seems that even if you add an app to Accelerator's whitelist, allow it to auto-launch and allow it to work in standby - it still doesn't always work. I had never have this problem before I switched from Nexus 4, and it is really annoying... Maybe I need to add another app to these lists in order for Google Smart Lock to work?
Hi All,
I have installed the Google VR Services on my device for development of Games (VR) with Unity 3D.
I have been asked for permissions to enable Do Not Disturb while using VR games, so when I tried switching it off by navigating to settings and clicking on the Do Not Disturb section, it takes me back to the homescreen... which is obviously a bug.
In addition I tried to disable it from the slider (where torch, mobile data etc are located), and it didn't take any affect.
On the other hand, to solve this I have uninstalled Google VR Services, and the function of Do Not Disturb works again.
Now my issue is that with Unity 3D, I have created just 2 objects just to test the VR, and it seems that it is lagging when I build and run.
I wish to know if it is either from the Phone (Software wise), or perhaps Unity (optimization, but again I only have 2 objects).
Are there any developers who encountered problems with lag, while using HUAWEI P9 Lite (2017) here?
Thanks!
Hello

hello guys i need help how to prevent my openvpn to auto stop im my phone.. when i use openvpn and playing online games after a few mins openvpn stop any suggestions how to fix this issue?
huawei y6 2018
ATU-L22
version: 8.0.0.142(c636)
Same problem here
It's not just openvpn.
I tried some other vpn's and nothing lasts.
They keep on closing every time I open another app.
I think it is a problem of the device's latest update (8.0.0.142).
I tried to fix this problem with several options on the developers option, but nothing happens.
And it is "weird" because this update automatically activates the Developers Option.
I'm still looking forward for a solution tho.
Please disable battery optimization for openvpn.
When it's running in background, your phone kills the app automatically to optimize battery consumption.

It's not just VPN apps but other apps too, so you should update your thread title. Anyway, just go to Settings->Battery->Launch and uncheck your VPN app. Next, make sure Auto Start, Secondary Launch and Run in Background are all checked. Also, try using a low graphics setting in your game to reduce ram usage and to reduce the chance of background apps getting killed
Is this
Same as mine. Huawei y6 2018. VPN connected for a few min then it will stop. Any help?

found the solution, though i can't find the direct access to it.
1. go to settings
2. battery
3. click optimize... then you will be redirected to options. you will find the view intensive app.
4. got to intensive app menu then turn off the manage automatically of every app that you wish to stay alive in the background.
i got rid of it now my vpn and other apps stays alive on the background.

Give other protocols a try. OpenVPN e.g. takes some resources that our crappy Chinese phones simply don't have. Right now I'm using Wireguard. The provider's client doesn't work that well, but the official wireguard client works excellent.
Besides that I've installed Shizuku manager and Icebox. With Icebox you can disable any user- or system app without the need for root. I've disabled most of the Huawei ****ty apps to save resources. If you disable optimizing features as well your phone won't force stop apps anymore. Instead of keeping as much RAM free as possible it will be using all RAM availlable. Apps will be more responsive and will only be killed by Android in case of OOM. Your phone's battery charge will last a day easy.
I think it's best to consolidate all the questions about the watch and find solutions together. Hope it will become something of like a mega thread in the future.

I'm about to buy Honor Band 4. My question is what activities are synced to Google Fit? Steps, activities, sleep ...?
Can it be used for heart monitoring while using Health app during running?
HB4 can share fit data with some others apps on the Huawei Health menu : Google Fit, MyFitnessPal.
When launch Exercice from the HB4 : Walk, Run..... it show usual data : stopwatch, Heart Rate, distance, steps.....
Hello to you
Why doesn’t the Honor band 4 appear in the list of devices connected to bluethoot?
Sorry about the English.
Hello everyone,
there is a way to use the HB4 to control the music player or "remote photo shoot" even for non-Huawei devices running EMUI 8.1 or later?
No smart features in the HB4 just basic notifications, stopwatch, timer, alarm.
it seem HB4 use a BT LE only and directly connected with the Huawei Health app, no as classic BT device.
Is it possible to use the Honor Band 4 with Google Pay?
No
For those who have cell phone in pt-br, I read that now the honor Band 4 is in pt-pt with the cell phone in pt-br. Does anyone confirm?

The running system of the band is highly inaccurate
But it could be useful to monitor the heart rate
development for honor band 4
Hello everyone I'm thinking of development of honor band 4. Like custom skin development and all. Can someone help me with it?
hi,
my honor band 4 won't charge to 100% it stuck on 90%, i have reset the band, unpar/par, change charging devices/ports but i still have the problem. Any suggestion?
Any one know where to get custom firmware for honor band 4
A custom face I believe!
Please share
Pairing with 3rd party app?
Is it possible to pair Honor Band 4 as a pulse meter for third-party applications (Endomondo, Runtastic,...)? Thx.
Honor band compatibility with Samsung Health App
may I check if the Honor Band 4 is compatible with Samsung Health App? Does anyone having the HB4 mind trying to sync if it works?

I will be attempting to use HB4 sync to Huawei Health App, then using Huawei Health app to sync to Google Fit, before use Google fit to sync to Samsung Health. For Google fit to samsung health, I'm using Health sync to do it. Seems like the only possible way I think
I'd like to use Smart lock but it's not available in the menus. I read some solutions that require rooting that I don't want to make because I'm warried about the issues with Google Pay and some bank's apps not working anymore after rooting.
So, is there a way to have Smart lock back?!?
Thanks in advance

Can you please point out to any (working) solution that requires root - but without the usage of any kind of Xposed (only Xposed is a threat for Google services but I doubt that even Xposed could make it really working).
With root, you can install:
[ROOT] Smart Lock Launcher - S - Apps on Google Play
[ROOT REQUIRED] A small shortcut to open Google's Smart Lock settings.
play.google.com
and get the menus and setup Smart llck, but no avail since Trusted places, Trusted devices (except maybe for Xiaomi BT devices) and On body detection will not work
I.e., I have root and just reinstalled Smart Lock Launcher (for the purpose of screenshots below) but I'd like to see how to make Smart Lock options really working. A year ago I spent quite a time, searching through forums for various other Xiaomi devices, but no avail
It only worked (with Smart Lock launcher I got it working) with one of Xiaomi eu weeklies, but since the next week, it was (most likely, intentionally) disabled

I referred exactly to that app that I haven't tested because I've no root but I thought it was working. Thanks to you, I realize now that it's not the solution as well.
I'm really disappointed because of the unavailability of the Smart lock that I miss a lot when I'm home and working.

Added two more screenshots above, I just setup again Trusted places and On body detection, then locked the screen - but on turning the screen on it still asks me for finger or pin (although both rules for Trusted places and On body detection should have been kicked off and automatically unlocked my Mi 9T)
Currently on Xiaomi.eu, A11 beta, 21.3.18

Thanks zgfg, you saved me from a useless rooting of the phone.
I really don't understand. What's the matter?!? Does Xiamoi care about the issue? Is there a plan to fix it in the future?
