Hi there,
Just wondering if the emui 5.0 launcher found on the newer devices could be ported to emui 4.0. So then we could have the app drawer option. Would be great. What do you think ??

I think emui 5 is for android 7 I'm not sure but maybe that makes it need effort or makes it difficult to port. But if you want app drawer you could try Nova Launcher or someother most launchers have appdraw.

thank you for your quick reply.
I think i tried all the launchers already but was thinking about a more on board experience with emui's own app drawer.
Would be great it the laucher apk could just be extracted.

Anyone courageous to give a try ??
It could work but I am not so sure about it , I will try to extract the system image from p9 and check if it's working or not . I might be interested in that aswell . Will report later about it .
later edit : Launcher does not seem to work , all i got as a result was a blank screen...bad luck. On the other hand , i had a shot with the music player and it works , looks more like emui 5 . If you use emui 5 theme it can look quite decent. (see screenshot)
Thank you for giving it a try.

Hi,
I am a big fan of MIUI but i awfully hate its default launcher.
I was wondering if there is a way whereby i can replace the stock MIUI launcher with the launcher pro?
Thanks!!
Just download it from the market.

Thanks for the reply fiskenigaten.

There should be no miui launcher left!!
thanks.

Just set it as default when you install it. Then you'll never see miui launcher ever again.
Or if you want to take it to the extreme, you can use titanium backup to fully remove miui launcher after you've installed launcher pro. But honestly I don't recommend it. Just stick with the first solution bud

If u decide not to keep miui don't move launcher pro to SD. . Or use a root explorer and move /data/app/ launcher pro (I think its a different name but same icon) to /system/app and long press it, hit "permissions" and unchecked all 3 on the 3rd row, and the 3rd one on the second row. Save. Reboot.

Titanium backup pro has the option to integrate into the rom, just find launcher pro and long press and you will see it. I do this all the time with go launcher it lets you still do a factory reset safely, whereas it would disappear and you would have no launcher if you didn't D:

install launcher pro... select as default after pressing home button...
use a root enabled file explorer e.g. root explorer...
navigate to & mount system/app/
rename Miuihome.apk (think that's its name) to Miuihome.bak...
done ^^ no more Miuihome.apk a.k.a MIUI stock launcher :highfive:

Questions go in the Q&A section
Hi All:
I have seen this thread on another section in XDA :
[APPS] Huawei apps | Emotion UI
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315913
Isn't it possible to port this into our Aurora ICS, and make it as our own "official" rom?:highfive:
Looks great! I will try
I have tried it and the apps are really buggy. The camera app doesn't even start up!

Yes, the launcher works good.
You don't need to port the launcher, just install like any other app.
Sharing a Awesome mod which will change your overall phone animation......Not my work...I am just sharing..Credit goes to the dev.
Original thread:-

This works for any phone seems to be ...So far I have tried on Note 3 Neo SM-N750 & S3 (Stock & AOSP).
Please note: I have only tried to de-odexed ROM...Not sure about Odex.
Flash this in custom recovery....
But you will love it once you install it.

Seems like theming is no longer possible on WW_14.2020.1703. All themes can't be downloaded, instead, it sends 'waiting' message that seems to last forever. Anyone experiencing this? If by any chance. SystemUI apk from earlier version of android N could be shared, preferably from 1701, it would be much appreciated. I'd like to go back to a theme that brings me closest to stock android quick setting appearance.

If you have rooted, just disable themes app, change the apk in system with an older version released at the end of last year, enable and wipe data. If app crashes, wipe theme app data, disable, reboot and enable.

I also tried to install compatible themes (according to developers description from Playstore) with Asus launcher but no luck. I don't have root. Is there another method without root access ?
I like Asus launcher but i hate his icons/notifications

Icon packs does a better job for that. You don't need themes. I prefer icon pqcks from Sourabh Gupta. He updates icons frequently and all his icon packs has 5700+ icons. His latest Android O Icon Pack is pretty awesome. It is paid though.

I'm afraid that's not possible without root unless Asus re-enable the option in future update. I think the transparency of quick setting might cause issue(s) with currently available themes. And you're right, quick setting with the rounded toggles and notifs, especially in lock screen, are painfully ugly.
Hi guys, there's a fresh post https://www.xda-developers.com/downgrade-an-app-android-no-root/ , anyone has successfully downgraded to earlier version of zenui with third party theme support?
