I messed something up with the .GIF file that gets loaded on startup and the .PNG file after that. Guess what... I didn't make an back-up so I have an really annoying logo in there now and I want to get rid of it.
Could anyone grab them from their phone.. and upload them please.. (the HTC logo and the Windows mobile logo)
Thanks very much It would save me alot of time since I don't wanna do an hardreset
well if you give me the name of the files and theyre location, i can extract them for you

MANY THANKS :d
Hi guys, I wish the boot animation of N1 in my background's computer. There is any Gif or some else over there? I was searching for it but I didnt found anything.
Im pretty sure it wont fit your screen.. Is quite small in size.
I believe what you are looking for is the bootanimation.zip that you can flash to your n1 to set the boot animation. If you open up the .zip (winrar, winzip, etc.) it contains something like 64 pictures of the startup animation. Then, you can make them into a .gif and set it to your backround (not at all experienced at that last step).
Just search around for the bootanimation.zip. It shouldn't be too hard to find.
Many of you may already know this...
But you are NOT restricted to PNG files for your boot animations. The G1 can read JPG files too. You would be surprised how much more complex you can get with boot animations in JPG format!
Just sayin...
thx 4 the nfo, I actually was unaware of that.
Hi,
I have taken the bootanimation.zip from the Nexus one and resized all the images to 800x1280. I have rotated them all so they are vertical and fill more of the screen, I have saved them all as png-24 and I have adjusted the desc.txt to specify the new resolution.
I then put the bootanimation.zip in /data/local on a custom rom that supports this but it just doesn't work, I get stuck on the bootloader screen. Can anyone help me and tell me why?
I am happy to share the classic bootanimation with all once I know it is working.
Idk if this is the issue but how are you zipping the files? When I make boot animations I use 7zip and tell it to zip but not compress.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I used 7 zip and just dragged the files of the same name (but resized, rotated and png-24'd in to the zip. I didn't unzip it just opened and dragged the new files over the top.

Try unzipping the files and then replace them. Re-zip them and under compression select "Store".
any progress on this? i like this boot animation i would like it on my nexus 7 as well
SUCCESS! I will post it in the Themes & Apps area so keep your eyes peeled!

Hello User and Developers,
I’m a very happy owner of a Oneplus one. I opened this tread because of the following problem. I want to change the offline charging animation from Oneplus one to a Samsung offline charging animation.
Now the thing is I find the Offline charging animation of the Oneplus a bit boring. It’s just a simple white battery. I would like to change this charging animation to something more stylish and better looking.
I’ve seen the refueling charging animation used by Samsung on their flagship phones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3VmpG-zUMcand I would love to have this on my Oneplus one.
I changed my boot animation and that was just simply replacing some files and flashing a bootanimation.zip via TWRP. But after some research on the Samsung charging animation I noticed Samsung is using .SPI files and .QMG files for their animations. (normally it’s multilayer PNG for android)
Via googling, I found out that I need the following files form a Samsung ROM (can’t find any GIF or PNG images of the animation anywhere on the internet):
Particle_intro.spi
Particle_loop.spi
Wave_loop.spi
Percentage.spi
Source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/help/galaxy-s5-battery-charging-animation-qmg-t3061577
I derived these .SPI files from a Samsung s7 rom but noticed I could not open them or convert them to PNG. (These extensions are normally used for incremental backup images.)
Shadow protect software, suggested by serval sites won’t do the trick. (source: http://www.file-extensions.org/spi-file-extension) (Thankyou Samsung for making things difficult).
I know the .SPI files are serval PNG files with some sort off instruction converted in to one image and I know I need to convert the .SPI files to PNG files to convert those PNG images in the multi-layer PNG files for the charging animation to work for the Oneplus one.
I know I need the to replace the .PNG files in res/images/charger. But that is where my knowledge ends.:silly: Is these even possible, is this to embedded in the firmware or am I wrong and should I take a different approach? I’m not really in to coding or programming but not a complete stranger to flashing ROMs or modifying boot animations via TWRP or ADB.
Does anyone know somethings more about replacing these offline charging animations and be willing to help me out with converting/reading the .SPI files? (if it’s even possible).
With regards and thanks for helping in advance:good:,

6 Years later, first commnet .
It is supposed that this program should not open the file because there the .spi format is established as backup, so the program instead of opening and seeing the content, what it does is put a message that says "Backup image file security is invalid."

I think if custom roms managed to edit it, then we can
