The title says it all. After updating to stock S7 Edge Android 7, I messed around with a few themes, and when I went to set up my favorite live wallpaper, the old wallpaper picker was gone. Now when you go to change your wallpaper, it takes you to the Samsung store. You can still add regular images, but live wallpapers don't show up anymore.
Has anyone found a solution? Thanks!
Sorry for old reply, but I have the same problem, did you manage to fix it in the end?
I think they found the answer on this thread

Check how often it updates in the settings. Also, are you connected to the internet?

any advice?
Mine didn't come with that one either. It's most likely a downloaded live wallpaper. Try searching for "Ice galaxy" in the Android market. it might be that one
no found
So I just got my Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and am loving it except for the fact that it wont connect to my Macbook pro. I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to change the wallpaper on the lockscreen besides the ones that samsung has provided. I have three options wallpapers, gallery and live wallpapers and only the images (which are provided by samsung) in wallpapers can be applied to the lockscreen. It also makes you crop the picture for the lockscreen before applying and it makes the picture look grainy. Anyone figured a work around for this?
Start in the Gallery app and open the image you want to use. Then go through the "Set As" menu and you will eventually be given the option to choose either Desktop or Lockscreen wallpaper.
And unfortunately I dont think there is a way around the blurry cropping that happens when you set the lockscreen. At least I havent found anything yet.
I used a pretty large picture source and don't see any obvious grain on the lockscreen. Also, while I was forced to make a cropping selection, the actual area displayed on the lockscreen appears to be larger than my crop selection. I haven't played around with this too much because I like how it turned out and I don't want to mess it up.
I noticed this same issue with my Note 5.
And it's only this one wallpaper. But a paid one and one of my favorites.
The wallpaper works fine. Then comes root and modified stock rom and every time I open it I immediately get the crashed message for that wallpaper.
Any ideas on where I could start digging to figure out what's going on?
Any similar experience recent or in the past?
Since I can't find threads about the 2016 models, I'm asking here. Hello. I wanna know how can I get the lockscreen from S8/android 7.1.1 for J5/J7 2016, s5 neo etc. For my device
Any ideas? I tried every method, samsung themes, searched in settings, I didn't try the apps I find in Play Store though bc of the full-screen ads, or the ads in general, and for the poor quality clock. I really want the changeable clock in lockscreen. NOT AOD, I already have it through the best-known root-less AOD from XDA. JUST THE LOCKSCREEN. Thanks.
title says it all really. The pre installed and seemingly very nice looking dynamic wallpaper doesn't apply. I can select it and apply which it say configured video with audio blah blah but my wallpaper doesn't change. What gives? This is on a Mi9T global rom right out of the box...
well it does change based on the time of the day, also when you unlock it shows a bit of animation
I mean nothing happens when I apply it. My wallpaper remains the red default one, nothing changes. Seems like it's bugged.
it's the same with me unfortunately
its the same for me , nothing happened, also make my lockscreen and home wallpaper the same but its not 24h wallpaper
Try changing the region to India
