Hi All. I am attempting to use 2 sims with sd card but coming up with an issue. Followed all the steps but the sim try slot will never pass the mid point of my sdcard+simcard combo. I have seen that the micro sd cards being shown is flat on both sides. Mine , at the back has a black piece with some writing, for example http://prntscr.com/ecnoxg . This is hampering me from getting my setup to work. Can I remove that black piece?>

Hi all,
I just got recently a 2gb microSD from Sandisk and conected in my X01HT(HTC TyTN), it doesn´t reconize the card and the card get very, very hot
anyone could help me with that?
Thanks
Assuming there's nothing wrong with the card, you might have put the card in wrong, or the card might not be aligned properly when placed into the slot. Try these:
1) make sure the contacts side is facing up when you put in the card (slot facing you, pda screen facing up)
2) as you insert the card (slowly), try to align it more to the bottom left of the slot. If it's inserted correctly, you should feel some springing pushing the card out as you insert it.
3) If the card is inserted correctly, it should bounce back out if you push it in a little.
hopefully that helps, but if all else fails, take the card back to the store.
this is what happened. the micro sim adapter got stuck, and i tried my best to pull it back out extremely gently. after pulling it back out, i tried to start it with no sim card but it didnt start.
i took another full size sim, slid it in. it was extremely tight for whatever reason, but anyways after successful insert remove, its now a bit smoother. the problem now is, regardless if i have a sim card in there or not, it still tells me there is no sim card in the slot.
what do u guys think? did i break a sim card pin? i dont have a torx screw driver to check unfortunately...
Hi all
I must be blind as I cannot find the SD slot on my xoom 3g.
The SIM card slot was easy but I can't spot the slot for the SD card...
The cover for the SD card is the same as the SIM card. It's a little metal cage close to the screen.
It's in the SIM Card slot, the top section (nearest the screen).
You pull out the sim card tray and it is in there.
Edit, its funny get the replies in two minutes.
ahhh that explains it cheers guys.
Had my GN 8 for 2 days. At the end of the second day, it started saying No SIM Card, and fails to recognise the card. It can tell when the card is inserted / removed, but it cannot read the card. SIM card works OK in GN II. So, back it goes under warranty - just as I was getting to like it a lot...

Are you inserting the card correctly?
Just to make sure...
The sim card slot is kinda weird
Yes. It was working, then stopped.
My fiancée s8 plus her SIM card got stuck in side the window card hole she used a pin to get it out in the process she tells me her SIM card tray got bent and the SIM card won’t read at all.
She took it to sprint they said it’s broken the unit and they did zero trouble shooting.
Before I order her a new SIM card tray to see if it works what can be done ?
Is the SIM card tray the problem ?

I've had all kinds of issues with the Sim tray on this device. I've replace mine several times. If it's needed up there's a chance. But no one can say yes or no without physically trying what your doing.
