Hello,
I have my new phone.
But it is locked now.
I can find phone via google android device manager
But that one cant open the screen lock.
(Note: i do not have global phone lock on).
It the password that phone asks when you do not have finger print set,
(Not the sim password).
How this all started was: i tried to change my finger print on the device as i went to settings and in the finger print settings it asked password.
And the one i remember i used did not work.
Then after many attempts phone locked.
Then i went to google i found my device but it has no option to unlock the phone only option to lock it.
And same thing is with the My services using your Samsung account page.
Samsung account page however it cant find the phone.
So google can find my phone but samsung account page cant.
Phone is nex to me and is connected to the network (i see wifi bars) and phone is on.
How to unlock the phone?
You can reset phone via recovery menu but your data will be lost

Why don't you use your finger print to unlock? If you can't, reset the phone or go to samsung repair center, they can do it for you if you can prove the phone is yours
i think u can change the code via google manger
Wipe data in Stock recovery..or use odin
Even if FRP lock gets activated you can always use your google password to open the phone
You should only worry about FRP if the device doesnt belong to you..
If not no worries, flash it with latest firmware.
And even if you do Frp lock it and can't Remember the password. There's sites like Unlocking. Com that would fix it for you.

i recently baught a MyTouch 3g (tmobile) and unlocked it with a code but i am stuck on the set up screen i tap the android guy and go through a couple screen and it asks me to log in to google or create an account i input my information and it goes through the motions but it alwayscomes back saying that it cannot connect. the phone shows it has service but i cannot get past this screen.
if i hit the menue button i do have an option to go into network settings and i have put all of the settings that rogers has given me (there are alot of empty spaces though) and still no effect. Please someone help i dont wanna be stuck with a phone i cant even use. Thanks in adv
Well since you unlocked it you are not finding a set network therefore you're stuck.. you're most likely going to need to root your phone and install a rom that allows bypass of google sign in so you can get your vpn set up correctly first.

Press the menu button after powering on the phone. In network setting, you need to add the APN settings for your network, in your case its Rogers. So yeah, get the correct Rogers APN settings and you are ready to go.
However since Rogers requires you to buy a data day pass if you don't have a data plan, the above procedure might not work. Try it first though.
The safest bet is to buy a data day pass (only $2.99 for 20MB) on your other current rogers phone, and then transfer the SIM card to your myTouch. Don't worry about those blanks in APN settings, just fill up the required field.
Hope it helps.
OK guys, here's the problem. Got a Verizon S7 at 7.0 nugat here FRP locked. A friend of my daughter gave her the S7 to use while I was fixing her Iphone screen. She had a screen lock on it that she couldn't remember the swipe pattern to so we factory reset the phone. Problem now is she doesn't remember any of her google passwords to set it back up. She had 2 different google accounts on the phone. First account we were able to get the code sent to another email address to reset the password after entering answering a security question, entered the code, but the phone said it couldn't confirm her identity with that email so the phone remained locked. Guessing she never linked it to her google account. Second account she got a "last password remembered being used on this account" option and used an old password. was then asked for account recovery question, answered correctly, and was asked again for an alternate email to confirm her identity and ran into the same problem as the first account.
I was going to try some of the ODIN or RealTerm solutions but I can't get the phone to be recognized in windows 7 or 10 on 2 different PCs. I've reinstalled Samsung drivers multiple times. My s6, wife's s9, and my Tab S2 all connect fine with the same USB cords and same USB ports (one of the cords being an original Samsung cable). And curiously, this is the only Galaxy Sx that I have messed with that doesn't reboot after a factory reset with NFC already on. Is it possible there is an option in settings that turned off file transfers prior to the reset, and that is why it is not connecting in widows with the USB?
At this point the only option I can think of to try is the HushSMS to get chrome to open prior to account set up to install an APK. Is this actually a legit solution, and if so, wouldn't the phone have to have been setup to sideload apps prior to the reset?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
So my dad works for a company that issues him a phone. When he is issued a new one I usually get his hand me downs. I just got a Samsung S8 from him that apparently was programmed to be locked down with a MDzm of Samsung. It automatically leads up with every boot and tries to register the phone. It locks the home button but I have circumvented this by installing a home button app. The phone is totally useable now but the security policy won't let me use the camera. Is there ahyway to either remove the MDM all together or a work around to at least be able to take pictures? I have tried disabling Samsung Knox as an administrator but it is greyed out and so is the ability to install unknown apps so a modded apk seems to be out of the question as well. Thank you all for any help!!
Most likely he will need his company to unenroll him. I work for att field services and have the same thing, our mdm is mobile iron. In order to unregister the device i would need to go to a website (att proprietary) login with my credentials and retire my device. Then you launch the mdm manager apk and it phones home, sees your no longer a user and unlocks the device. From there you uninstall the apk as normal.
You can try a factory reset, but if they log imeis your dad will need to have IT retire his old device.
My Wife accidentally forgot her lockscreen password, I’ve tried to reset it with samsung’s find my mobile service and Google’s lost phone service.
The first (Samsung find my mobile) appears to be turned off in device, I can locate the phone but either can’t start backup / remove lock screen. The Google’s service unable to locate the phone while it’s turned on, connected to the network and location services work.
The last thing I could do is reset the phone, as in phone we have lot's of memories.
If anyone here had issue like me, please share the solution.
Thank you.
I have a client who's wife died recently. As with any situation where the spouse dies at home, the police did a full investigation and went through all the computers and phones and the like and returned them to him. He desperately wants to get to the data on the phones, but cannot, as he does not know the PIN code to either. He has tried birthdays for the kids and every other things he can think of. He now only has 9 attempts left to get the PIN right, and fears the data will be lost if he gets it wrong. Is there any way to get to the data on these phones? Obviously we don't want to factory reset and risk losing everything. Any suggestions/ideas for help?
Only 2 ways. One is to use Samsung find my Mobile and the other is to use Google find my Device. Of course you might need to know the email and password. There's no way to bypass the PIN on Android 9 or 10 from the phone itself.

So, she never registered the phone with Samsung, so the Samsung Find My Mobile isnt an option.
However, I have logged into the email and used the Google Find My Device. It lists the phone, the service is active, but the Gooogle FMP service says it cannot locate thee phone. Phone is powered on, SIM is inserted, and the service is active, as I can call and text the phone with no issues
If 'smart lock' was enabled, you could go to her favorite places (possibly their home) and the device would automatically unlock itself. The last option is to go to a Samsung service center with all documentation.
