Yeah and it's HORRIBLE. I had a date with a really cute girl who just so happened to be the daughter of one of my colleagues, and I was texting my buddy about her, she got one of my texts to him and cancelled the date on me. To make matters worse, she told her dad and he made a comment to me about it. Now, I'm always nervous about sending private texts to people for fear that they are going to go to someone else. It is completely inexcusable and needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY.
Both issues are "inexcusable"
Although I will tell you that I've NEVER had the issue with ANY SMS program besides the stock one.
I've had consistent SMS issues with CM6. I really hope Gingerbread will have fixed these issues, but I have to doubt it.

Both os's are going to have their unique flaws that come and go. At least on android we can fix alot of issues ourselves (not that we should have to but we wanna get **** done son!)

Curious ... does Apple keep a public issues list? Sure this will be read as troll bait but I'm curious...

I haven't seen one. Usually they just blame somebody else... then give you a body glove
Has anybody even experienced the SMS bug? Only 1.5% of users are experiencing this which equates to approximately 4,500. This is stemming from the daily 250,000 android activations so the bug is not THAT big of a deal. I think the press is the only reason Google hyped up it's urgency level. I don't even think it's a bug. I've noticed with a lot of android phones if you switch persons too quick in your messaging apps it picks the wrong person, which you wont notice and is where the whole sending to the wrong person goes.

Guys, I don't question that this happens.
I know it does because it's happened to me.
Once or twice...
I DO question how it suddenly "happens all the time" and only when its a "sensitive message". I call complete BS on both issues.

This is nothing new though. This bug has happened to me on all of my older phones except my Hero and Evo. Everything these days is just blown out of proportion as there as so many news sites online to get the same information from.

It is definitely a bug and not as you described it. It will go to the person it is supposed to go to, AND another person.

Wouldn't discount its a "bug" but I also think its starting to get blown out of proportion. All of a sudden everyone has had an experience with a random girl and their boss / work colleague something dirty. Hah I don't doubt that its real, but the length at which this was "around" and now all if a sudden **** is raining hell fire. Don't discount its validity but maybe its severity. Clearly it isn't happening to everyone. And clearly it has become troll fodder. Everyone now has a "story" that sounds strangely similar .... :suspiciouseyes

I would classify the lack of gpu acceleration as a bug. Every modern os uses the gpu, but apparently the geniuses at google didn't get the memo.

Based on recent release patterns the next version will be the one that is actually released.
Let's speculate on the number.
I'm going for .146
I wonder if it comes preloaded with completely screwed bluetooth?

Nah they screwed up the sound completely with 136 so that's been done already. I'm thinking the screen will be unreadable in one way or another, forced low light, no contrast at all, that sort of thing.
Looking forward to it
well uk has not even had 136. hopefully we will get this first.
You know that thing where you think you are getting to the front of the queue at the supermarket and then they close the till and you have to join another queue.
That.

All reviews are with pre-release software. Performance and battery optimizations may already be addressed.
I personally can't say I ever play or even own any 2GB games on my phone ever for their bench to be a common scenario.
im mainly just hoping that it will be corrected with software updates......i kind of feel that might be it
It will, everyone needs to stop freaking out. Optimization will come, the phone isn't even out for the general public.
