I'm looking for something like samsung sidesync that mirrors your phone onto PC however with sidesync you can only have one or the other; is there anything I could use that would allow me to simultaneously view my phone screen while it's being mirrored onto my computer?
Teamveiwer.
Download the Teamviewer software to your computer then download the Teamviewer QuickSupport app on your phone. Create a teamviewer account and add your phone as a device on Teamviewer. You can then connect and control your device and use/see the device in person at the same time.
and what about Airdroid?

You can consider ApowerMirror, I am using it, it can allow me to view phone screen from both PC and phone. Many Android brands are supoported. Here are some details you can refer to: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apowermirror-display-phone-screen-pc-t3514364

Are there any PC remote control app? Something similar to the team viewer app for iphone or another one?
Thanks!
Gmote 2.0 is kind of a remote app, mainly for media though.
It allows you to search through your files of your pc, from your phone,
and either play them on your pc, or on your phone. Has normal, play pause volume settings.
I.e. if i have an episode of family guy on my pc, i can use my phone to play it on my pc, which means i can be lazy and not move off my bed and watch it.
Also if i fancy doing it the other way round, i can stream the episode to my phone.
Only works over a local wi-fi though.
Thanks for this Phil, it's incredible and free!
It works perfectly on my Desire and Windows 7 PC (even though the installation instructions say XP/Vista).
No problemo
Only annoying thing is i cant stream most of my videos to my phone , buts that not the app fault, its fact there mostly .avi .
Great little app for us lazy people! Very useful when your watch a series of something with 20 mins episodes and you cant cant be bothered to get up and go the next one!
If any of you use MCE try myRemote, its awesome!
GRemote Pro is also awesome, not free though...
Thanks for your suggestions but I was looking for something more than just file browsing and running applications, more like having my PC desktop displayed and the mouse controllable on my desire's display.
GRemote Pro will allow you to control your mouse cursor and type etc, but won't display your PC desktop, you're talking about remote desktop software, not remote software.
For that try the LogMeIn free beta, or PhoneMyPC.

I can Highly recommend Gmote.
Tried it today on Ubuntu desktop machine and It's awesome!
Logmein is already available. Teamviewer is still in dev.
phonemypc is awesome. The execute Actions feature allows me (with the help of the app developer), to open a MS Access database on my pc with one button press. When that database is opened it automatically runs macros within Access.
I then press another button from my Android to close the MS Access database on my PC. You can of course remotely control your PC from your android. However, as mentioned above it is the ability to one button press an action that can be a bat file on your PC.
Excellent and well worth the money IMHO
If it's a remote desktop app you're after, have you tried RDP Client or PocketCloud?
UnifiedRemote looks pretty good.

Teamviewer beta is out.
Can't giva a link, but it's on there side to download and not yet in the market.
Here's the official link : http://www.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewer.apk
It's an awesome app, I must admit. It works really good.

TeamViewer beta 6.x both for desktop and phone work excellent! Pretty much exactly what I was after for months.
Initially, their front page ad scared me. Some Indian and Philippine fraudsters were using the same ad on their websites with a different edited product name which looks very similar overall (and the same blue website theme). They were phoning UK/US homes disguised as a legit business trying to get you to install such a product on your PC with lofty offers in return (free software, movies, etc). The product allowed them to basically take over your Windows machine without you realizing.

my mobiler is the easiest i have tried. Just install the software on the pc (i use win 7 64 bit). turn on the "debugging" in the development settings of the phone. it will automatically push the app into the phone. Very simple indeed...

my mobiler needs the phone to be connected to the desktop with a usb cable. thats a turn off. and if a rom (such as some of the ics roms based off the leak rom) isn't supporting usb mount, then theres no use. webkey can be connected to your phone from any wi-fi connection, from any browser, from any pc.
Mymobiler was the ipso facto app for wm6.x to enable one to control ones phone via a pc.
many people were waiting for it to be ported to android. It does support wifi as well as USB connections. I'm fiddling with mine now, as it happens. (downloading webkey, never heard of that one so thanks. I'll have a fiddle with that one too. It looks far more complicated i.e My mobiler is exactly what is says. Your phone on your desktop. I do like the look of the GPS stuff in webkey though.. Still fiddling...)
Webkey... far too complicated. How many user names/passwords/registration of device with them even?
kies air
you guys do know tht there is an app called Kies Air on our devices by default tht allows you to do tht ryt?!
Kies Air has less functionality

I agree with that, but it also depends on what requirements you got
little bit slow, but worth it a try
webkey is slow over the wifi. cant connect with usb. much trickier than mymobiler. Also much slower than my mobiler.
Actually, I agree. Hence, I've uninstalled it since discovering Airdroid. Its also free on the now Google Play Store (seriously though, Google Market sounds much better, I don't know what they were thinking.)
Its similar to webkey, but its more organized and has a better layout. And if you can't or don't want to connect via Wi-Fi you can tether it to your PC with a USB. You can control your Note from the browser as well. Definitely check this one out, much simpler to use. I don't like apps that restrict me to only be able to control my phone or act as a file manager with a cable. But this has both options.

You can now use our VMLite VNC Server, the first and only VNC Server that works on any devices, on rooted or unrooted devices.
It provides you the full control of the device from a PC or from another device, with very repsonsive keyboard and mouse operations.

you can still use teamviewer without account. just install the app on the phone and download it on the pc.
on pc, choose to run the program, not install it.
run the app on the phone. once you install the samsung addon, you can start the app (the app asks for the addon at first run). on the phone, you will see the ID.
Use the ID provided by the phone to connect from PC (not sure if it will ask or not any password) - follow the steps.
I have tried teamveauwer, but I have no ID when I launch the app.
I have found my happyness: mirrorop receiver
There is a btter application Mobizen.
Thanks.

Hey!
I'm looking for a way to remotely shutdown my Galaxy Tab 4.
It is connected to internet at all times.
Not rooted. Can root if needed, but I'd rather not.
Thanks!
You should be able to install TeamViewer Host (or the customize Host for Samsung by Teamviewer.
Then you can just use the TeamViewer PC app or Teamviewer for Remote Control phone app to log in and shut it down.
