Hey everyone....today I had tried two ROMs based on nougat 7.1.1
1) Mokee 7.1.1 (20170217)
2)Resurrection Remix 7.1.1 Official
After I have clean installed both the ROMs and tested it one by one...with and without custom kernels(radioactive reborn kernel and andy kernel for 7.1)...I have encountered problem with camera...at first boot camera can be opened and photo can be clicked from both cameras...as soon as HDR mode is switched ...camera app crashes...sometime it says...media server died...sometimes says can't connect to camera etc..
Now I have tried every possible way to get rid of this problem like
1)I have tried reboot my phone
2)I have tried clearing cache and dalvik of camera
3)I have tried apps like camera restarter
but of no use
Here one thing should be noted that camera works fine in all mode in marshmallow ROM...I am using mokee 6.0.1 and camera works perfectly fine....apparently its not a hardware fault....plzz help me out

Hello, i have recently installed the CM13 from ED300 on my K30-W. Installing Open Gapps pico isn't possible and shows some fails of ending services. I have reinstalled after complete wipe without Gapps. All works fine, until I installed some Apps like Whatsapp, and others the device isn' t recognizing the main camera. In CM11 from ED300 I had the same problem. On Stockton there was no issue with the camera. Can anyone help me with this problem, please?
I have made no backup of the stockrom. Stupid, I know.

I have no idea, where I can get someone likelike this.
The cam start sometimes and sometimes there is a message: " can not connect to the camera".
I am helpless about the failure. Sometimes starts the cam and sometimes only the second cam for selfie and sometimes nothing with these message.
Did you have an idea why?

So, I flashed CM14 and Gapps today, and it was working great for the first few hours, and both the original Camera app and Moto Camera were working. Now, suddenly neither of them works.
When I try to open the CM's camera, I get a RunTimeException with "cancelAutoFocus failed" while Moto Camera asks to restart the camera.
I can't make it come back to normal, only if I wipe EVERYTHING via TWRP.
Any help? Thanks.

Please read help thread for custom roms and Rom tread first before creating another thread...
And be so kind to tell which versions and from which rom you're coming and if you tried wiping caches

Read The CM Guide Before Flashing ROM. Be Sure That You Have Wiped Dalvik Cache, Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage. I'm Using Latest CM 14.1 Build. It Is Working Fine. No Bugs. Camera Is Working Fine.
I bought a ZenFone 2 Laser CN version, and in need for Google Play Store, I rooted my phone. Since then, the rear camera stopped working. The front camera is fine, but the rear camera shows only black screen, and the button to capture picture doesn't work.
Here are the steps I tried:
- Flash ROM to ZE601KL_CN_1.16.40.1338, rooted it with a pre-root system.img via adb
- Installed Google services - Google services worked - And this is where the Rear Camera stopped working.
So I thought, maybe if I install a custom ROM, the camera may start working again, so I tried:
- unlock Bootloader
- Installed TWRP - twrp-3.0.2-5-Z00T
- Installed various version of CM and RR:
RR 5.6.7; RR 5.6.8; RR 5.6.9; RR 5.7.0; RR5.8.0
CM 13.0 20161220; CM 14.1 20161225
P.S. when I install RR 5.6.7, 5.6.8, 5.6.9, & 5.7.0, the phone will auto restart at welcome screen, only with RR 5.8.0, the phone is stable, both CM versions was stable
All with the same camera issue,
Then, I decided to flash it back to stock CN to see if it will solve the camera problem,
So I flahsed my phone to:
CN_V1.16.40.1338 ，
CN_V1.15.40.825
And now its CN_1.14.40.654
Still, nothing worked to fix the rear camera black screen issue.
The original ROM installed on my phone was: UL-Z00T-CN-1.16.40.1715-user
I tried to flash CN to WW, but it will not convert, so I am stuck with stock CN rom.
I'm looking for another possible solution.

I used to have Havoc OS and everything was working fine but the location. it never worked for some reason and i needed it on my everyday life.
So used UPPERCUT to install stock ROM, ONLY to quickly realise that CAMERA, FLASHLIGHT and YouTube didn't work.
(when opening camera there was only a black screen, flashlight said i was using a camera app and YouTube was endlessly loading without showing my feed)

STILL having the same problem.....
when using havoc OS i didnt have this problem...

Did you flashed Nougat first? If not flash Nougat
to further explain my problem,
even though Camera used to work fine on HAVOC OS,
now even when using a Hardware Tester from Play Store, the app can't find a the camera...
can flashing stuff on your phone kill hardware?
I had a similar issue with a H872. Camera & proximity wouldn't work after flashing back to stock Oreo from Havoc. Someone here suggested flashing back to Nougat. Lo and behold...it fixed all my issues. I then performed software updates to get to the latest stock version.

I have some issues when i switch to the front facing camera, when i press the shutten buttom, it doesn´t take the photo. I installed pixel experience plus rom on android 10 version, installing custom kernels and the device is rooted with magisk manager. I´ve tried to fix this using the normal kernel and other kernels, installing and uninstalling some magisk modules. I´m using the nikita gcam 2.0 and i´ve tried other gcams like parrot , the_dise, etc... someone has the solution to this issue?.
