I am trying to follow the instructions here How To Build CyanogenMod Android for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE ("hlte") I need a Jelly Bean or earlier version. So far, I have tried to download 10.2, 10.1, and 10 without success. But I have downloaded 11.0 successfully. I read somewhere online that there is an issue with one of the branches of 10.2 and to download 11.0. So this implies that not all the earlier versions are ready for download. How can I find out which version can be downloaded? As you know each download takes about 24 hours; I want to avoid spending that long only to find out that the remote repo has an issue. I then spend time cleaning up the local repo and start over again. Is there a better way? Is there a more appropriate forum for Cyanogenmod discussion? I have posted to their site, but there is not much activity. Their google group requires approval. Any thoughts, comments? Has anyone successfully downloaded one of the earlier version?
There was no support for hlte with 10.2. You need to use the 11.0 branch if you want to build a working ROM.

I built a rom with cm-11.0, and have not tested it. My issue is that I need to patch it with seek-for-android patches, and they do not have a patch for Kitkat yet. cm-11 is Kitkat right? I need Jelly Bean or earlier for Note 3, but I see your point. With the phone being so new previous versions do not support it. Can you offer any other ideas? Is there a good procedure for building rom from Samsung's Source Code? Is there a Jelly Bean version that supports Note 3?
hi I have this tablet That my girlfriend had before we were dating and I modded it a long time ago and I dont remember exactly what model it is. I think its a tab 2. its 10.1 inch I know it was the nook edition. I can tell you it currently has an unofficial version of cm 13 and the device is listed as sm-t530. What i want to try to do is put an official version or very stable unofficial version of cm on it. The gapps always crash on it and the battery dies really fast. So can anyone tell me if I can use the p5110 rom listed on the cm downloads page? Or if there is something here i can use. And also where is the best place to get gapps from? That seems to be my biggest issue with this tablet I cant seem to get the gapps working right. It has been a while since I have tinkered with android roms because I finally got a nexus 6p and that phone doesnt even need modding it just works. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey I just realized that this is in the wrong forum. How can I move it to the q&a? Sorry it's been a while and I wasn't paying attention to what forum I was in.

it is galaxy note 8.0 gt n5105. Also it has wifi and lte
Think 5100 is similar.
Install android 7.1.2
I update n5105 from android 4.2.2 to android 7.1.2. Everything seems good. but there is no Samsung application. I install from Google play. But any of them does not work. Especially I want to use snote and spen. But does not work. How can I add samsung applications? İs there anything like Gapps may be called Sapps?
As far as I know, those Samsung applications will work only with Samsung ROMs. They need some proprietary functions not present in third party builds. There is software to use the pen, though. Coto Note comes to mind. Haven't used it for anything but brief testing, though.
Samsung apps mostly works only on Samsung Rom. There are some modded als also for Stock (vanilla) Android.
So if you use that 7.1.2 Rom you must find other apps than Samsung ones. They won't work.

Would you mind sharing the secret to getting that installed? I'm trying to do the same thing, but I can't get past the signature verification error. I'm not sure what to do.
Just got given Samsung GT-N5110, Yikes KitKat lol... Lets not!
Good old Odin, TWRP and now trying this build!
Glad I found this post with useful links, near end of 2021 too!!
Thanks!
This is crazy was asked can I do anything with it was going in Bin! I said wait No! that tablet is old, guy said you can't load much on it because it was old...
Actually really good old tablet, I went from memory and this forum...
I am not at Noob so skipped through a lot and did what I membered!
Same keys as S3, put in Download mode, use Odin to blast bootloader, reboot and quickly press right key combo before official software kicks it out.
Reboot again and see friendly TWRP as your bootloader.
I just saved a not bad old tablet from bin! I gonna keep, so glad for this forum!!!!
My main and only phone is a Samsung Galaxy A10 because it is my only 4G device decided not to mess with it BUT was phone to try with device I was given as tablet... Never push your luck!
I have made a brick before in my time!!!
Happy ending here!!!
Nice to be back!
Yes that old Samsung Note 8 has got new lease of life!
What memories from S3 that good old reflash Boot loader and hit key combo before original bootloader is retained!
Got TWRP going, got my Gapps and root, job done, nice!
WARNING:- Anyone with old Note 8 please don't just jump in! Yes it is possible, don't ask me if your a Noob, don't ask me what is a bootloader, what is Odin, what is TWRP, what is Root?... You can turn your tablet into chopping board! I am playing with Lineage on mine, you playing with Cucumber on yours?
Thankyou awesome links!
Nice Job, last step TWRP root file and enable in Dev Options!
Fully Rooted and enjoying the fact someone is still updating build for patch level.
Old tablet but not that bad once you get rid of KitKat lol!
This guy was going to chuck it out and said to me it will be limited because of old software... He told me dispose of it.... Just showed him now and he asked why did Samsung do this update for you not us, answer is they didn't!
This is why I love Android over Apple!
Does anyone know where I can find the last OFFICIAL LineageOS image for the Nexus 4? I'm not interested in more recent unofficial builds. Thank you.

The last official builds of LOS 14.1 are still available for download from someone's ftp just using Wayback Machine. Unfortunately, all latest LOS 15.1 links are down now.
And here you can find one of the lasts — or maybe the last ever — official release of LOS 15.1 for Nexus 4.
Bro, I'm looking for it, but it seems that many official ones have stopped supporting it for a long time, but there are private ones. I have seen some that support Android 11. It should be the latest version. I haven't tried it yet. What do you think?
Thanks all. I flashed the Nexus 4 with the link Waldold provided above. Feels snappy and no showstoppers so far. Many thanks.
2021redmi2fans,
I am happier with older android releases, so I haven't been looking for private releases with more recent android versions. I just use f-droid.org for apps & no apps I've tried need anything so recent. I actually might even try an earlier release later on.

Hi, I have a sprint model Note 5 running LineageOS 17.1. First question is title, second question is: which, if any, current roms are better than what I'm running?
I know a lot comes down to personal choice, but I've also had this same ROM for like 2 years and have no idea if any new ones had come out or older ones updated recently.
Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
There's this, I don't know how much you'd trust it.

Cheeznuts,
I've been looking for 6 hours for a Sprint Note 5 LineageOS 17.1 rom for N920P device.
all the noblelte zips I find require something besides nobleltespr which is the sprint device.
Do you still have a copy of the zip you used? or where you found it?
Actually you can install lineage os but cellular network or modem will not work.
I have tried some of them like lineage, blissos, rescurrection remix, aosp extended os, pixel os etc but all of them do not have the modem for nobleltespr
