Hello all...
I have rooted my galaxy note 3 (sm-n900) with cf auto root and after i rooted it successfully, I couldn,t give
Permissions for any rooted app like freedom or titanium backup ..It asks me for the permission to grant or deny
But when I choose grant, it keeps loading and then it tells me that you need root to access this app even though i had disabled knox by supersu and even I had the latest version of supersu... btw, I tried giving permissions with a different app and that didn't work as well
please help !!
i need root Lolipop 5.0 towelroot not working i install CM12 lolipop ..........
plaz give me root file ..............
I'm pretty sure CM is rooted, you might just have to enable it in Developers Options. Also, since you're unlocked, you should never have to use a root exploit. Flash a SU zip in recovery and call it a day.

if it's not rooted already, flash supersu 2.40 via twrp (recovery) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
CM + Towelroot (or any other exploit) = Facepalm.
In CM12 the Superuser control is part of the Privacy Guard settings.
i install SuperSU 2.44
i flash with TWRP2.8 SuperSU2.44 phone show root ........ and supersu working....
but when i use Gamekiller and SBhacker say root need and also not use Freedom.....
i try many time install SuperSU.2.44.....
Obviously SuperSU doesn't work with CM12.
The Superuser control is now part of the Privacy Guard settings.

SuperSU WILL work, you just have to grant root access to it in the native SU. After that, it will take over as the primary root app.

FIrst of all I followed the steps mentioned here: www . thetechnotriad . com /326/how-to-root-yu-yureka/
All the steps worked flawlessy, and I have the superSU app installed too but when i check root checker app , it says the phone is not rooted,
and I am not able to uninstall any pre installed apps or stop auto starting apps, there is no root request going to superSU
Also I am not able to uninstall Super SU app.

Try restoring YU by flashing factory images. It may help as u have to start rooting from scratch
yes it worked as mentioned earlier restored old OEM rom
hi all
So, i rooted my device using KingRoot, i did not unlock the bootloader since i won't be flashing any custom roms or recoveries.
I installed AdAway, the latest stable release, when i try to enable ad blocking with it, i always get this error msg:
Copy failed
Copying of hosts file failed!
Please read Help for more information.
Is there any way to fix this ? and if not, is there any other way to block Ads without the use of AdAway ?
Thanks!
I rooted using SuperSU and AdAway works great . Don't know why isn't it working with you.. Make sure you granted root permission from KingRoot apk
I did, it has root permission
If i have to use SuperSU, that means i need to unlock my BL and flash TWRP correct ?
Some root "programs" are not strong enough.. Like SuperSU x Superuser.. It is possible that your choice is weak i have SuperSU (instaled via TWRP) and adaway works great.
Fantastic place thanks in advance for any and all help ,
Running nvidia shield console 16gb version 3.2 marshmallow , custom rom twrp 201602222 unofficial foster. TWRP manager paid version installed , #super su paid version installed from google play over su beta flash , SELinuxModeChanger also installed from download link in xda also installed xposed framework from xda big thanks to the devs
my issue is , that i need to find a way to switch selinux to permissive as TWRP manager cannot fully function with it set to enforced , i have downloaded and run SELinuxModeChanger however i keep getting a toast message which reads
App was unable to gain root access
superuser manager doesnt allow app to access SU or you dont have root at all. Fix this to use this SELinuxModeChanger
I have tried escalating apps permissions via SU but nothing seems to work and i am now stumped as to what to do next ??
I have been able to create a manual backup via adb fastboot but would really like to be using twrp on line back up if i can switch selinux mode
I have searched on here as well as google and nvidia forums to no avail please help a newb many thanks in advance
SOLVED
Managed to solve the problem by flashing update-superSU-v2.76-SYSTEMMODE over currant version now SELinuxModeChanger has su access
