as i am barred from posting in the original thread, here my bug list, if anyone can help out, it would be perfect!
-phone crashes sometimes, if i remove the headphones
-battery drains quicker
-ril and fingerprint are unstable.
apart fro mthis, the rom is really cool, even the display seems more saturated than with flyme, which is really really like. thanks faust!
For fingerprint, try to register the exact part that you try to tap it in the first time and use it exactly where you land it. It work for me.
Afaik, the meizu sensor is a low res one, it does not fit Google requirement.
Sometimes I have a discard of the sim and in have to reboot the phone

i tried to take the same finger twice, and it works after pressing it roughly 20 times.
but i wonder, flyme os does better recognition, so it means the underlying software is better?
what kind of library crdroid is using and where can i find the sources?
Main issue I'm having with this ROM is that videos seems to zoom in automatically, in Youtube or other apps.
Not sure how to fix it!
fingerprint sensor
I used these instructions: https://forum.xda-developers.com/me...-fingerprint-improvement-crdroid-7-1-t3504948
I can't post to linked topic
yes, it works, but I afraid it is not secure, because i scanned one finger and i can log in with any of my fingers.
I haven''t try to log in using finger of somebody else, but I think, it may be possible
EDIT: I just installed FPv2.zip, it works better, using 1 scanned fingerprint, I can open phone with 5 fingers of 10, 2 of them left hand and 3 right hand (1 scanned) fingers.
sorry my bad english

i wonder if we can have sourcecode and/or use the original meizu libraries?..
it seems that the headphone-jacket-restart-bug is fixed with the latest version.
but now the camera does at times stall and it needs a warm restart to be able to use it again.
Hi guys !
I'm a little late but I would like to install this rom.
I'm following this tutorial (https://www.getdroidtips.com/crdroid-os-meizu-pro-5/) but the link is broken (http://xep.8800.org/pro5/nougat/) and I can't find the cdDroid rom. Can you help me?
Thanks a lot!

I was messing around with a synth progrm last night and found something weird, so I decided to confirm it in a few multitouch testing apps. This is really bizzare and I'm wondering if it's a bug - I'm going to try to make a video when my other computer is up and runing but for now I'll try to describe it:
-With your testing program of choice open, place your finger anywhere on the screen. hold it completely still; not allowing it to shift even 1 pixel (the X/Y coordinates at the top shouldn't change if you're using multitouch visual test)
-Tap anywhere else on the screen without removing or moving finger 1. The finger-up event of finger 2 will not be detected until finger 1 moves.
I've been able to confirm this on my device up to 5 touches - i.e. I've had 4 fingers stationary on the screen and tapped with a 5th, and the 5th one stays "finger-down" until the position of any of the other 4 changes.
I've tested in "multitouch visual test" by battery powered games, llc and "multitouch test" by greenrobot, both available in the market for free.
Bump... Seriously? Like 50 views and nobody will test this?

Please provide testing program name to download. Edit-just noticed you put "Multitouch visual Test". Ignore this request.
Please provide expected results per Samsung specifications.
All I know is we have pinch to zoom but that's about it. I don't know how to test all the stuff you've posted up there but am willing to do so.
FWIW-Pinch to zoom works fine for me.
Final edit:
I tested this with that application. I put one finger down and it registered. I put another down and it registered. I pulled one up and it registered that it was no longer there. I put five down, registered them all and it showed that each one was lifted as I lifted it.
I think that's what you meant.

It is what I meant... sort of. The thing is, if finger 1 moves even one pixel, it kills the experiment. The experiment I did was keeping finger 1 perfectly still (the X/Y coordinates were not shifting at all; I did it in a corner 'cuz it was easiest). THEN tried the tap. As soon as I get my replacement AC adapter for my comp. with webcam, I'll post video. It's quite trippy.
I tried it with YAMTT and got the same results. I wonder if it's how the program is working, or an issue with the phone. I don't think this is a problem though, because it's difficult to hold your finger still ad not move 11 pixel.

Finally! I'm not crazy! Agreed it's probably not going to be a gigantic issue, but it's not how I would expect multitouch to work.
I can also duplicate this. Unusual, and I don't think it should cause any problems, however one would think it would behave differently.
who cares??
I love my Galaxy Camera and to be fair there isn't a great deal wrong with it but I thought I would share just a few niggles I have found that I hope Samsung could improve on.
1) is the prompt on a cold boot asking if you want to use the external SD card as the default storage. Make it the default permanently (just like you can on a smartphone).
2) is the default action of extending the lens when you turn on the camera. It's handy for a quicker shot I agree but it worries me that the barrel might get damaged that time you accidently turn it on in inside a bag or coat or the annoyance of sending the camera off balance as you hold it to check your emails. I believe a setting to toggle this feature on and off could be implemented.
3) the setting for voice activated camera functions is not remembered. You know when you frantically keep saying "Cheese" only to find it's turned itself off.
4) the default keyboard is reset to stock keyboard on a cold boot. I prefer Swiftkey but have to reset this every time I cold boot.
5) the cover on the USB port is fiddly to remove to charge the camera. I agree there should be some sort of cover as it would be ugly without one, but it's a pain to open and the flap gets in the way of the cable. I am sure a slightly better design could be found.
6) no auto screen brightness setting.
7) for such an expensive camera, why wasn't some sort of case included in the box?
These aren't major issues and the Pro's outway the Con's in abundance. I just thought I would share my observations to anyone interested and maybe add your own. Perhaps someone at Samsung might even take them on board!

I just received my Galaxy Camera today and I have to say I am very impressed with it. Setup was a breeze (I'm used to Android) and I was up and snapping pretty quickly. Without reading the non existent manual (I downloaded a PDF version from Samsung) I was able to take pictures MUCH better than I did with my previous S3, or my current Nexus 4, all on Auto settings (which is good as I know nothing about cameras).
I would agree about the annoyances, but I know about most of them before I even got the camera, and I personally don't think they are enough to put someone off buying this camera.
point 1: I think this is exactly the same as on smartphones right now, but on smartphones you rarely open the camera app before the memory card is mounted.
if the camera app would start after the memory card is mounted it would probably remember your previous setting, but because it's the first app to start it will always revert to internal storage.
point 4: not specifically a galaxy camera problem.
I have smart keyboard pro installed, and its always smart keyboard pro that pops up.
I haven't seen the Samsung keyboard since the day I got my camera.
point 6: this is something they can't add anymore.
the galaxy camera has no light or proximity sensors so it has to rely on the camera sensor for brightness, which is only really doable in the camera app(which is also the only place where you have automatic brightness)

Thanks for the tip.
But there's more...
- if the tiny lens cover gets wet (one or two raindrops are enough) it doesn't shut properly anymore
- the gallery app is extremely slow if you have more than just 10 folders. I have about 40 picture folders on dropbox and as the app syncs all the folders it takes ages to scroll through them
- the media service grows and grows until the internal memory is full, I had to delete its data several times already
- user expericience is not consistent: in the gallery there are no Android buttons, for going back to a previous page/folder you need to reach up to the upper edge of the screen for the return or home buttons
- the zoom rocker should be more sensitive or even two-staged. The steps the barrel does now are too big in my opinion.
- there should be a WB option in Auto mode.
Except the first point those are all software related issues which might or might not be resolved in a future update....

Is there any way to increase the screen sensitivity on the T280? I've only found one mention of the issue after thoroughly searching Google, with no suggested fix.
I'm comfortable with modifying system files such as build.prop and such, I just have no idea where to start!
The issue:
This screen is really slow to pick up touches, especially from a stylus.
When swiping (eg for pattern unlock) contact is often broken.
Even using my finger, when selecting text it's difficult to move just one letter at a time.
In handwriting/drawing apps, resulting text is extremely angular and jagged.
Here's what I've tried:
Changed "mouse sensitivity" in the settings (minor improvement)
Used 2 different screen calibration apps (minor improvement)
Installed debloated ROM (only one available; no improvement)
Removed some unnecessary system apps (will be removing more to free up space....)
Disabled settings that affect device speed such as animations
Several different stylus types (the most expensive work worst )
So, is anyone else finding this an issue? Is there a fix I don't know about? Is/are there a kernel tweak or something that will speed up screen response time?
I bought this tablet in part so I could use it for handwriting input using a stylus on a larger screen than my teeny S5. Unfortunately, the screen response is far too inconsistent and ...well, slow than I'd expected.

Unfortunately the drivers or the touchscreen hardware itself for the T280/T285 is not that good. I have a drawing app that I created myself and the touch event update rate is so slow it creates jagged lines. Best case is that it is a driver issue and we can fix it in the kernel, worst case the hardware just sucks and it is what it is. On my OMNIRom 6.0.1 SM-T285 device touch response is actually ok, it is the update rate and precision of the touch which is a problem.
Thank you so much for the quick reply, and for understanding what I mean.

Congrats on getting most of the bugs out of that ROM! It was SO disappointing to read the "fine print" on your OMNIRom and discover I couldn't use it, as it looks pretty sleek, but you're helping others immensely with your work.

Hooray for drivers being a possibility! There's something can be done about that!!
Do you find that the lines aren't quite as jagged running OMNIRom as with stock?
How would someone find out whether it's the hardware or the drivers?
Are the differences between 280/85 so extreme that I can't try anything on my own?
Is there anywhere I can "sign up" for testing any new tweaks or ROMs or kernels?
(Update on the issue: I ran the "screen calibration" test again and it says it's taken another 10ms off the response time. Not sure if I'm imagining it but it feels as if it's actually faster...)
I was also thinking, would the DPI have anything to do with the jagged appearance? Between this tablet and the 2 others I was looking at (both Galaxy - previous 7-inch and 9-inch) those had much better DPI ...or am I thinking of resolution? Those aren't the same thing, are they? In any case, it's worth checking into whether fiddling with the DPI might do any damage.

We will need someone to tinker with the kernel sources to found out. For the SM-T280 someone is working on making the kernel sources work. Unfortunately, though annoying it isn't really on the top of my list right now.

Based on the software codepath, DPI shouldn't really affect touch performance.
I wound up returning it and picking up the 7" Galaxy Tab E Lite (SM-113), which seems to suit my needs much better. While it's much more limited in some ways - no custom ROMs, limited to KK4.4.4, same small internal storage issue - the screen response is WAY better and I can get around the annoyances (largely - no, SOLELY - due to all the things this forum has taught me over the years. :highfive:

Similar issue
Hi,
Was wondering if anyone with these issues also experienced this: While the tablet is on, when watching something for instance, if the touch screen isn't used for a bit (say over 30 seconds) when I first press it it doesn't respond at all, to get it to wake up I have to press quite firmly, usually several times, before it starts working. Once it does respond I can use a much lighter touch so it doesn't seem like a screen protector or overall sensitivity problem, it's as if the screen goes into some kind of sleep mode becoming much less sensitive.
Anyone know about this/how to fix it?
Much love,
Tom
I have been on vacation for the past 10 days mostly. Using my wife's iPhone for pics, which has made me realize how bad the OP 6t native camera app is. Two pain points in particular:
1) Two finger zoom is extremely choppy, jumping in increments that make it difficult to compose well
2) Pano stitching misses at least 30% of the time, often grossly so, and often in good light
3) No voice triggers for the camera. Maybe I need to observe proper technique from Asian ladies but I find it near impossible to compose and trigger the shutter when doing a selfie with the missus with an outstretched hand. I used to have a LG many moons ago they you could configure to respond to "cheese" and "kimchi".
Any suggestions? I understand that third party apps loose access to the detailed hardware drivers, filtering and demosaic algorithms, but it is not like OP does a particularly good job at that too (colors are too saturated and the overall rendition is often quite dark).

Wow, just what the doctor ordered. Can't quite figure out if it does panos but that is probably because of the gazillion settings I have to go through. I also can't get the 6t to launch it by default with a power button double tap. Still goes for the stock app despite me setting open cam as the default camera app. Maybe I need to reboot.

Try this Jean Luc mod apk with your favorite config file. There are also picture samples for each config. I prefer velvia.
Put the xml file in /gcam/configs. Install and open the camera apk and double tap the area next to the shutter button. You can load the config then.

Double tap power button to open a custom camera is only possible when phone is unlocked already. OOS feature...
Sorry for being dumb but... I created /gcam/configs, put a couple of XML files in there, installed the app, launched it, but when I double tap I get "you do not have any configs files".
Does gcam need to be under sdcard or in the root?
Never mind, figured it out, gcam needs to be in sdcard.
As to configuring a custom camera app to launch with double clicking the power button - I am on OOS unlocked. Do I need to install a button remapper?

Thanks but it is not case sensitive, I have it all lower case and it works fine.
I use a combination of Camera FV-5, when I have time to set everything because I'm picky (also 40 years using film SLR and D-SLR's) and when I'm in a hurry, the google camera that was ported for the Pixel phone I had. It's faster than the Camera FV-5.
The native camera app, as you mention, SUCKS.

Hello,
I have the option to download the official Beta Android R (RPB1.200504.18).
My Pixel 4 phone is my daily phone, just like to ask, if its worth downloading this beta version.
I know it will not be stable and may be a bit flaky, but will my phone be useable if I do?
Thanks

One thing that sucks about Android 11 is that you can no longer hide the nav bar..

Normally you can take the screenshot as on any other android - hold down volume down + power button and vollaaaa!
New way to do it also is by swiping up from the bottom and holding, and the besides the switch between apps option will appear you will also see Screenshot, Select, Share options underneath it
Yeh I get the old fashioned way, holding power and volume keys. Why on earth have they taken the very handy button that popped up when long pressing the power button !!!
As for your swiping up option, that doesn't work at all on my phone !!
Swiping up from the bottom and letting go works on my 4XL but only when in an app. If you are on the launcher i think its the old fashioned way. This is standard google to take away things we use!
Just received another beta update (RPB1.200504.020), 8.23MB
I'm able to set Shell as the default Home (Launcher App). What can I do to utilize this?
I'm loving the beta but I've found that when the pop-up asking you to chose what app to open something with, I only get two options: the recommended app and a second one and no list of apps that were being shown in android 10. It's really frustrating when you can't choose the correct app because it isn't listed. For example, what if you want to open the link in the app but you only see two web browsers? I use deampify to strip off the Google AMP part of the URL so I can open a link in the website's app such as CNN or The Washington post. That means if deampify doesn't show up then there is no way to chose it like I could in android 10. Another example is if you get an attachment in an email and you might want to open it in one of several apps such as Adobe Lightroom if you're going to edit it, Google Photos if you're saving it, Dropbox if you're sharing it with your family, Instagram if you're posting it, and what's app if you're sharing with a single friend? See how this can easily be an issue? Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix?
I used the first official beta release for about a week, here's what I found:
* Good enough for a daily driver, if you don't mind a few hick-ups or manually restarting your phone every once in a while
* Slightly slower launching apps
* Audio quality from phone speakers was no where near as good (sounded thin and boxy), and not as loud.
* Camera would black-screen on me about every 4th launch and I'd need to force stop the camera
* Camera app always warned me it was too hot to preform certain advanced features
* Boot-up, not a big deal, but took about 6 times longer to start back up.
* I liked the notifications on the pull-down better. Not a huge change, but noticeable
* LOVED the screenshot edit pop up after every one (does more than Android 10 does). This was one thing I missed the most when I switched from a Samsung S10+ to Google.
The audio quality and camera were just too much for me to handle right now, so I went back to Android 10 for now. I may try beta 2 when it comes out?
Using Beta 2 right now, no issues at all, device is smoother than ever and battery lasts longer about 36 hours with medium usage getting 3.5h SOT

I haven't been having battery luck. On beta 2 I get about 1.5 hours. Of screen on time. Phone doesn't go to sleep at all. Same with Android 10. I have to go back to using naptime.
I don't have motion sense on or aod display.
