I was trying to root my phone (Galaxy S7 edge, Verizon), and when i tried to install SuperSU it wouldn't work. Tried many different things and i couldn't do it. So I decided the put the stock firmware image back onto the phone and try it all again. I downloaded the correct file for my Verizon S7 Edge. I'm not that experienced and I don't know if this was a bad idea. When I tried to put it onto my phone through Odin3, it failed about 4 times while in download mode. I thought that putting it out of download mode would get me back to when i couldn't install SuperSU and my phone still worked. I held the Power, Volume up and down, and the Home button. It took me to a blue screen saying "Software Update Failed" and in smaller text "Your device didn't update successfully. Use the Verizon software repair assistant on a computer to repair your device and complete the update." I don't have that assistant on my computer and I have tried downloading the assistant but can't find anywhere i can download it. My phone is stuck on that screen and i don't know what to do. Any help at all would be great. Thanks.
Guide I was following to root: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039
It's probably best to post in the Edge forum, not the Flat forum. They'll be able to point you in the right direction for what's needed.

Just got the Note3 from a online seller who seems to be legit but when the phone was received via the mail, it didn't work as expected.
I've had some experience with android ROMs and rooting but those are mostly for the other phones, this is the first Samsung phone i got. Could you guys help and advise what to do to resolve this error?
I've actually downloaded Kies3 and use the emergency recover thing, but most of the times it couldn't detect the phone connection.
And on the rare occasion that it does detect something, it says that the model is incompatible with Kies3. Tried it with the old Kies too, but didn't work as well!
1. Turn off your device and reboot in stock recovery (Vol. up + Home button + Power button).
2. We need know your CSC for avoid problems.
3. Add one pic like the one attached pls.
Don't double post, i replied with everything you need in your other thread the same as this.
Hello,
I want upgrade my LG G2 with a new rom 5.xX
This phone have only the operator update. No custom, no trwp, nothing...
I installed drivers and when i want access to download mode. I can't. I use the good proccess with vol up then plug usb cable always with vol up presses.
follow this procces after a little moment my phone show me battery logo charging.
So i can't access to download mode.
I would use this process
t was NOT bricked. I finally tried playing around with the LG Mobile Support Tool (B2CAppSetup.exe). Of course it detected that my phone already had the latest firmware from T-Mobile, but then I clicked Options>Upgrade Recovery.
It downloaded for a while then I noticed it had put my phone into download mode (it said "Rooted" in red letters at the bottom). Then it flashed the same firmware over and I immediately tested, it entered download mode right away. But I didn't end up needing that as Stumproot was able to brute force it now after the recovery flash.
Anyway, I couldn't find an answer anywhere else. Most results also have a bricked phone, but that wasn't my issue. This solved my problem and maybe it could work for others.
but it's impossible for me to install B2appsetup on my pc the installation begin then stop after 5s then nothing.
I have Win 10.
Do you have a solution for me , please??

Hi guys. So I managed to locate what looks like the only mod out there for a G360G. A CF-Auto-Root image!
I downloaded the root mod and used Odin to successfully flash the images to my phone. I pulled the USB cable out and let it be. It vibrated a few times and I heard the message sound a while later. I plugged it into the computer and confirmed it was all working.
I then used AirDroid to examine the internal file system. I searched for SuperSU but I saw no sign of it. Is it in a protected area where I can't see? I also tried to AirMirror and it said it wasn't rooted.
Since my screen is blank and unresponsive I can't see anything on screen. So although the system works I don't know if any messages popped up telling me it detected a mod and erased it.
Are there any other steps that should be followed after the flash? Software to install before or after? I didn't see anything that said recovery mode needs to be booted or the phone needs turning off after for this particular model.
Howdy,
I've used the Tab A for a couple of months now as literally a daily driver, since I modified it to fit into the multimedia slot in my car. It was rooted, had TWRP and even Viper4Android on it.
Long story short:
Since it's laggy I thought to test project Treble on it, since it's supported.
I wiped the tablet with TWRP and installed arm64 A/B (since it's Android 10) and it wouldn't boot anymore. It showed "Samsung Galaxy Tab A", shut off, vibrated and repeat. Also tried "Only A". Same result.
I thought to install it via fastboot. Since TWRP effectively replaced Fastbook afaik, I tried to flash the original "BL" downloaded form sammobile for this exact model. Flashed it, it succeeded and then...
It turns on with a blue screen that essentially says "This phone has been modified and is locked" with red letters on top stating "SECURE CHECK FAIL: recovery.img"
I can't get into download, it always jumps to this message. I tried all possible combinations, plugged the tablet into my pc while holding down buttons - nothing.
If I hold the pwr+down for circa 10-15 seconds while in this screen, it reboots and goes to a slightly different message stating: "SECURE CHECK FAIL: boot.img"
My PC doesn't recognize any USB devices, not even in the device manager.
What should I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I guess no music on the daily commute tomorrow lol)
Tried a Samsung JIG adapter. Still no success
Finally good news!
I tried it again with new combinations.
Turns out, if you hold all three buttons (pwr, down and up) eventually DOWNLOAD mode appears.
Worked here and am flashing stock now.
For rooting on latest bootloader (Rev:4, U4) which is the one you've installed already, you must purchase a subscription on this page and download that file for root:
https://support.halabtech.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=452768
As you described, it seem that you updated the bootloader and there's no way to get back at Rev:3 U3 bootloader, having the same trouble in rooting terms, I just hope a developer or an advance user that have a subscription in such page can help us and share the file that is on that page

Hello!
I recently got my hands on a Nokia Lumia 520 for tinkering with. Its running on really old firmware, and I figured before I try anything weird, I'd mess around with it in its stock state. Thus, I tried updating the firmware.
The internal updater returned an error, stating that it could not contact the server for whatever reason. I figured this is most likely due to the Windows phone being discontinued, so I scoured the internet for firmware files. I eventually stumbled upon a YouTube guide that linked to a guide on Microsoft's Own guides page. It explained how to reinstall the firmware to a stock state. Desperate for progression. I gave it a shot.
The guide provided the "windows Device recovery tool", Which I would install on my windows 11 machine. I then proceeded to run the software and plug in the phone. HURRAY! It was able to tell me exactly what type of phone it was. Clicking the option to proceed, I was shown a screen explaining just how dated my firmware was. Suggesting It would fetch newer if not the latest firmware for me. I clicked on install and it started downloading.
I waited patiently for the software to download the firmware. After which it went to the installation screen. It then attempted to put the phone in flashing mode. Explaining that in this mode, the phone would restart, then have a blank screen. Instead what happened was that the system restarted normally, asking me to unlock the device. I wondered if maybe I had been impatient, so I waited for another while. The phone restarted again, still on the normal lock-screen. This happened another two times before the Recovery tool gave up and told me it had failed.
My question: Is there any reason why it would do this? Are there any methods to get it into flash mode?
I would hate to discard the potential of this device simply due to the inability to flash it. And I really hope it can be helped. Please let me know if there's anything else I should share about this. I'll happily take any help I can get!
Thanks in advance!
Edit, after a lot of trial and error, I managed to force it into flashing mode. Turns out the guides I followed missed a step. Pressing the Power and Camera buttons did the trick
