Green screen/ stuck on HTC logo - HD2 General

Hey people,
Hope someone will be still here because I need a bit help.
My brother bought 7 HTC HD2s for 70 euro, 2 of them are working with any issue, 3 of them he sold and the last 2 are disassembled so I took them to assembly. I had to disassembly the screen because connection from the frame was broken. I had a new frame so I repaired the screen and I mounted it and connected with the motherboard. When the most important things were connected (all except modem, vibrator (?), Flash, speaker) I tried to turn it on. I checked if the battery is charged on working HTC and successfully turned it on. It booted, touch has been working, the phone was charging so I pulled battery out. And since this time the phone hasn't booted any once. It kept staying on HTC logo, or it goes further with an animation of HTC life is brilliant and then green screen.
What may it mean? I googled a bit but I have still no answer that might me satisfy.
I have second motherboard but battery pins are a bit damaged so I'll need to fix them to check if it's working out. And that's not simple and quick to connect and check it if it's working.
What do you think?

HTC elf doesn't start

Hello i have a htc elf0100, and suddenly he doesn't charge anymore nore start. It's completely dead, i already tried a new battery and i even charged the battery with a battery charger. I have measured the contacts of the phone when is connected to a charger and i have 4,7V wich may indicate that the power of the phone is ok. But in fact it doesn't power on. Does anybody know what might be the problem
Mainboard
Is it possible to buy a mainboard for the htc elf0100, and if so where can i buy it and how much will it cost?
Have you had any further luck with this problem?
I have a bought a Touch which appears to be suffering the same problem.
same problem here...
are any of you guys repairing these phones? I would'nt mind having a crack at it.

I tried repairing mine but no luck. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong inside it. Actually I had just finished refurbishing mine and for 2 days I was admiring its brand new white covers... Then, all of a sudden, the mobile turned off and doesn't respond to on/off,resets,chargers ever since. I am also guessing that my CPU must have been destroyed... :-(
I solve this problem whit the rework station, you need to heat the board, like 2 minutes in 400 Celsius, tried to don`t burn the conectors and the stikers.
Yesterday, after 2 months, it accepted the chrarger (led on) for... 1 second and then it started booting (for 5 seconds) but died again...
Wow! It responded again! This time it turned on and stayed on in bootloader! So I flashed it, and it WORKS!
So my tip is: every time you try to turn it on, always try in bootloader mode. So if it turns on, at least you will be able to do something!
Hi papajohn
how did you get it to turn-on again?
mine's dead no power response at all, completely dead, no tricolor, no white screen, no response to hard reset, can't enter bootloader, no orange led indicator when plug into power supply.

No image after lcd replacement

Hi, I've unfortunately broken my hd's lcd.
I've replaced it at home, but after I turn on the device, it vibrates one time, then I hear the htc opening sound, but there is no image or light.
So I guess the device itself is functional, but there is a problem with the lcd.
Somebody told me, that if I put on it a new stock rom it would fix the problem.
But when I connect the hd with an usb cable to my computer, nothing happens, there is no connection estabilished, the computer doesn't see the hd.
When I plug the device to charge, it charges.
So how can I replace the rom on my hd? :S
I've also tried to update the device from an sd card, I've formatted an 8gb sd card under win7,put on it an official rom, with the device turned off pressed the vol down button+the power button, then release the power button, the the vol down button, then press the power button.
But it's the sam: vibrateing when turning on,then after 30secs the htc sound, but no update..
Have you taken your HD apart again and checked the physical connection of the ribbon connectors for the LCD and Digitizer? They have to be pushed all the way into the socket and the sockets must be locked in a couple of different methods depending on the connection type. If they aren't in properly, you would probably experience the problem you've described.
Before trying to explore software issues, make 100% sure that you don't have a hardware issue.
I had the sync connection issues, then I found this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524619 I followed the instructions and was able to get connected again. It's worth a try.
if you change the lcd and don't get any image on the device
I would think
the lcd you got is dead
or the image display port of your motherboard is dead

I also have the same no image issue. I have also tried a second LCD with no luck. Once I was able to connect to the phone again, I flashed the stock rom from HTC, still no LCD. Tried leaving the battery out overnight, still nothing. I have been able to get the phone display to work by putting the phone body minus battery by an exterior window for about 1/2 hour, its cold in my neck of the woods. Pop the battery back in and I have a screen again, for about 5 minutes... One time I was able to get the phone to stay on for over an hour by doing the above steps and then right after putting battery back in cool phone, I immediately synced up with my PC and it stayed alive.. I don't know what the deal is.
Update for those who care. I have been playing with the cold phone/battery and have found out the following:
Cold battery/warm phone = no LCD
cold phone/warm battery = no LCD
cold phone/cold battery = working LCD every time.
I have also been able to use the phone, after both batt. and phone are cold, for as long as I want as long as it stays active and does not go to sleep. The phone will not come back on if I let the screen turn off by itself or if I push the power button to turn it off unless I cool it off again. I plan to call HTC in the morning to see about a repair, but have had fun playing with this weird situation.
So,I've opened up my HD and found out, that the data cable that is connected to the volume button has been detached from it.
Is it possible to solder it back without changing the piece?
My hd is still in the srvice shop for a price offer, but after I will get it back, I will try your cold lcd/battery thing.
Will it work with the fridge too? Because it's getting warm up here
So,if I undertand you correctly: after the lcd and the battery is cold, the lcd works, and if you connect it with the pc, it's stays alive until you put the screen to sleep, than it's dead again?

The cold trick has worked every time for me. I only hooked it up and had it on while connected to the pc once, but I think it should work again.
On another note, I heard back from the repair center and they wanted to replace the LCD (for $300) and I then explained to them that the LCD was not the problem and then was informed if it was indeed the mainboard that needed replacement then it would cost even more... I tried to plead with them that it is a common problem with HD's and even though the warranty is void I think they should cover it, didn't work.. It's times like these that I curse my curiosity and ability to repair my own things.

As far as the fridge goes, it should work just don't leave it in too long.. if it gets too cold then you might get condensation when it heats back up.
Forgot to add that I got my HD back from HTC yesterday. Got excited thinking they went ahead and fixed it for me!! But no... It worked just fine for about 5 hours after I unboxed and put my battery back in. Was turning on and off like normal, then after bout 5 hours it was back to the usual working phone with no LCD. I did notice that the screen was pulsing, for lack of a better term, it would dim then come back up to full brightness, then dim and repeat. There has got to be a way to fix this! (other than the mainboard replacement)

Help! Battery drained, phone won't turn on, battery charging icon flashes on and off?

My phone had been working perfectly fine, as well as charging perfectly fine. Recently, I accidentally let it drop to 0%, which I don't usually do. I went to plug it into the same wall outlet as always, but instead of the usual charge process, the battery icon with the lightning bolt in the middle simply flashes on the screen and then turns off, which happens over and over again.
It should be noted as well that about 3 weeks ago my phone get fairly wet. After that incident, I turned it off till it dried, powered it up, and everything appeared to be totally ok. No problems since then until this.
Other facts:
-I can safely get into the recovery menu (power + vol down), which is stable, but any menu selections result in the Motorola splash screen for a quick second and then the phone powering down.
-The computer will recognize the connection to the phone.
Attempts to resolve:
-New cable, new usb hub, new wall outlet
-Trickle charge from the computer (same flashing)
-Phone in rice to remove moisture
-Toothbrush cleaning of Micro-usb port (suggestion from another thread)
I'm pulling my hair out, and I am considering prying off the back and replacing the battery. I have searched other threads, but have seen various solutions none of which worked for me. If anybody has any idea how I can fix this please help!!!
Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately most probably is the hardware problem. I had similar issue with razr. Splashed it on the beach, quickly washed with tap water, dryed it and for couple of days like nothing happened. Then suddenly digizer stopped working. It was motherboard. Luckily one xda member donated me the same phone with broken screen so I replaced motherboard by myself.

Thanks for the suggestion. Well, I got it back working again, by charging it for 5 hours straight and then not charging it for an hour. Now it appears to be functioning alright, with the exception that it once went from 40% bat to 15% to 0% in a matter of seconds and I had to repeat the procedure to get it back on. I have another turbo with a broken digi that I could cannibalize but I have no idea what to replace... the battery? Bizarre issue, but I guess that comes with the territory of water damage.
Maybe some part is still wet. If another Turbo has only broken screen, then is probably the easiest solution to take screen from the (ex)wet and put to another one. You just have to have proper screwdriver.
Replaced battery now Droid turbo flashing when I charge?

Sudden shutdowns

Hi,
my Moto X Force has semi-recently started to suddenly shut down when the battery is at about two thirds or lower. There is no shutdown animation, the screen just goes dark. Strangely enough the phone can be turned on again immediately afterwards and the charge level will remain as it were, but often the shutdowns persist until the charger is connected.
I assumed it is a dying battery not being able to provide sufficient power under load but I just put in a replacement and the problem is still there. I did wipe the cache partition too but to no avail.
Do you have any ideas what else might be causing this? Or are replacement batteries just crap? Mine is from Cameron Sino and the reviews were decent. Thanks!

I have just experienced a sudden shutdown while the phone was being charged via USB. It - at least so far - never happened whilst plugged in into the turbo charger. My laptop can only provide 500 mA charging current though so maybe it is not enough.
On a related note, plugging the turbo charger always allows the phone to boot completely whereas attempting the same with USB cable plugged in results in a boot loop. Without any cable the phone stays off after it turns off.

My Droid Turbo 2 (XT1585) is doing the same thing. It will randomly power off, and it appears to be hardware related. I also replaced my battery and the problem persists. It is now occurring whenever the charge is less than 80%. It does not happen when it's plugged in. My suspicion is that it's the charging circuit, or charging circuit software. I will occasionally see "Wireless Charger detected" when it's not near a wireless charger. The random reset also seems to occur more often when connectivity is changed. For example, connecting to a bluetooth device, or turning on wifi. I've also started having issues with the Bluetooth. I had about 10 BT devices saved, and I lost all but 2. Something is definitely not right. I've also noticed on occasion when charging the phone gets extremely hot. My guess is something in the charging circuit has begun to fail. I also thought it might have been a poor connection to the replacement battery, but I'm unable to get the phone to fail by shaking it. If the connector were loose, I would expect it to fail when it's shaken.

is my P10 plus dead?

Hello everyone,
i recently acquired a used P10 plus almost for nothing.
the guy i bought it from said it fell on a carpet and it wont turn on anymore.
the symptoms were:
*black screen
*red led blinking (first 3 fast blinks, later only 1 every couple of seconds)
So i thought to myself, probably battery issues from the fall, maybe it disconnected somehow.
I disassembled the phone, reconnected every cable, but still same symptoms.
i read somewhere that red led usually means battery dead or the small charging motherboard (?) is broken. So i ordered both from Aliexpress and installed them today, but still the same issue.
i connected the phone on the charger without the battery, the screen came on (but it seems its broken also - only vertical lines and a crack, lol).
Any ideas?
should i order a new screen and try to fix it or should i give up? (i read somewhere that people couldn't power up their phone after screen replacement)
thank you guys in advance!
well, i guess ill just give up.
i was hoping for an idea of what to do, but nothing.
a shame really, i was hoping to get it back to work again.
cheers!
