Hi guys,
I wonder if you know about this problem: I took some pictures with Google's Cardboard Camera, and they are completely blurry, as if totally out of focus.
(I'm actually quite annoyed, because it's a panorama of Amiga Island, which was kind of a once-in-a-lifetime experience...)
I found little about this on the internet. Does anyone know about this, or even how to fix it?
Thanks!
did it focus itself and its blury? maibe shuterspeed was low its now s7 camera that focuses that fast
?
No, it did not focus.

Hey all,
I've had my N4 for a week now and a couple of days ago I gave the camera a go. I have to say that I'm not impressed at all. Most all pics came out grainy. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking of returning it. Now I don't use the camera a whole lot, but sometimes when a picture presents its self and I don't have my DSLR the cell camera is what I have. I would like the pics to look descent. I'm coming from a Samsung Galaxy S and with a 5MP camera and no LED flash it takes better pics than the N4. Is it the stock JB software for the camera and using another camera app would fix it?
Thanks,
Chevy

there will be grain in low-light but it's not too bad to my eyes.
if it bothers you, you could use flash; try another camera app, like camera zoom fx, that lets you control iso; or clean up the grain in post with noise-ninja or similar.
i never expect too much from phone cameras but they can produce decent results if you work within their limitations.
EDIT: i downloaded camera zoom fx yesterday and would highly recommend it over the stock camera app.
I've had my G2 for about a week now and love it so far.
But there is one issue which irritates me, the camera. It does take a good picture and I like the 60fps 1080p. But these work best outside or in really good light.
I tried to take a video of my 11 month old son with the camera indoor and I noticed that even at 60fps, the framerate on the screen could not be more than about 20. The picture quality was not good either, lacking detail, blurry.
This translates to pictures too and perhaps the most annoying feature. When taking pictures the camera just takes ages to snap that picture. I tried to capture a moment of my son and after pressing the shutter button, I counted to 5 before the shot was taken. No good for those moments you want to capture.
Any ideas to any of this? Is it by design? Or is my phone faulty?
Hi
I have a problem with my Nexus 4 camera, the pictures taken are quit good (Not best quality - and by this I mean pictures of people, places etc.. not documents) but when I zoom them just a little, Its all blurry (during the shot, or after taking it) which should not be the case for a 8mp camera ( I had Xperia P, pictures with its 8mp camera were OUTSTANDING! ), and the thing that bothers me most, its taking pictures of documents : ALWAYS blurry, never good or lisible to read.
Please help me solve this

No solution. The camera on this phone sucks. Don't bother with zooming; it's pointless. Zooming is digital and merely crops, rather than actually zooming in optically like a "real" camera.
If you're taking pics of still things, use a timer. That way you can initiate the taking of the picture and stabilize yourself, rather than trying to keep your hands steady while also hitting the shutter "button". Or use a voice-activated shutter.
At first on kitkat 4.4.4, I had some good pics with it :/ isnt it a do of software? this is really despressing to know that this camera originally sucks to this level :/ thanks anyway
Has anyone found a fix for their phone taking terrie pictures? Any kind of indoor photos I take, any source if light is blinding. For such a high mp camera the detail is awful as well. My nexus 6p with an 11mp camera took infinitely better pictures, and that's really disappointing. There's also a lot of noise!
Try different camera apps. Some apps seem to take better pictures than others.
But I also noticed that pictures often look bad with low lighting.
I don't think you need my help anymore, but the priv has a bad camera app
I've this phone for over 2 weeks now and I'm already in love with it. But I'm facing a camera issue here.
Have taken some excellent pic with the cam. But I don't know why pics even in proper indoor lighting are grainy on zoom.
Is this a hardware-only problem present only on my device or is it a software issue?
Should I get the device replaced or there will be a software update in future fixing this issue(which is huge for me).
Guys, please help me
Definitely a software issue, hopefully OnePlus updates the camera software soon. With that said, coming from an iPhone 7 Plus, I find the camera to be solid albeit overhyped at launch. I've taken some great shots, even depth effect photos look great at times. I have zero complaints

Thanks, I agree with you on every points here. I was really worried about that grainy stuff. Everything else about the camera is very good. Hoping, for it to get fixed asap.
Would you like to share some camera tips?
Zoom or without zoom only main camera will be used. Try to cover zoom camera and shoot photo.
